Villa On Top is a 3-bedroom villa with a private ecological pool in the tranquil village of Megala Chorafia, 9 km east of the town of Chania and 5 km from the nearest sandy beach. A mini market and two local tavernas can be easily found less than 200 meters away.

A sea view open plan living room area with a sofa corner, a television and a fully-equipped kitchen with a dining table are provided on the ground floor. One bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom with shower are also offered.

On the upper floor another bedroom with a double bed, one twin bedroom and a separate common bathroom are provided. All bedrooms have air-condition and balconies with lovely sea views.

Wi-Fi internet, satellite TV, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and barbecue are also provided. A sea view private swimming pool of 40 square meters is provided.

Villa On Top is located 5 km away (a 5-minute drive) from the lovely sandy beach of Kalyves. The ancient town of Aptera is located a 15 minutes walk away.

We had a wonderful stay!

We loved the location and the view is amazing. We didn’t get much use out of the pool because of the unseasonably cool weather but it is lovely. We also found the market down the hill convenient for breakfast foods and evening beverages. The WiFi is intermittent at best.

wunderschönes Kreta

Es war ein wunderbarer Urlaub. Das Haus ist sehr schön. Wir haben den traumhaften Blick in die Bucht genossen, die Strassen und der Flughafen ist kaum zu hören, die Zikaden sind lauter. Es weht immer ein Lüftchen auf dem Hügel so das auch die Temperaturen im August gut auszuhalten waren. Der Pool ist super, ca. 9 x 5 Meter die Kinder haten viel Spaß. Es ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Nach Chania braucht man nur 20 Minuten. Der Minimarkt nur 2min zu Fuß entfernt, hat alles was man braucht und die Besitzerin ist sehr freundlich. Man braucht auf jeden Fall einen Mietwagen, dann ist das Haus der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um die wunderschöne Insel Kreta zu erkunden.

A great base that's far enough away from hustle and bustle but close enough to get around

Very nice villa with great views. Nice and breezy during the day (July) to keep the very hot weather under control. The owners are extremely helpful and always there to help if needed. The pool is perfect for relaxing around having a lazy day/evening. A good location but a car is absolutely essential. One that goes up very steep hills is wise. As the name suggests, Villa on Top, it's on a very steep hill. walking back up it at night full of food and wine is hard work for average unfit person. The bedrooms are nice an airy during the day and all have air con for the evenings when you don't want any insects coming in. The only thing I would recommend is a ceiling fan be fitted in the front room as it can get a bit stuffy at night. A couple of Taverners down the road. The Cretan Corner is by far the better although the other one seems to have more trade, even though the food was not a patch on the Cretan Corner. In all a great relaxing holiday villa which is well located and very reasonable. Recommended.
