I appreciate your review. In 3 years you are the very first guest to complain about the matress None the less we have replaced it just in case your review caused a massive amount of cancellations. ,(which your review was the direct result of 3 cacellations I received.) I sorry you felt the unit was not clean. We do our very best to properly clean and sanitize between each guesy. Given the turn over it is hard to deep clean between every guest not to mention the cost that would be forwarded on to each guests. I doubt local. hotels undergo deep cleaning between each guest as that would be not be cost allowable. We do.stsnd by our cleaning. I am not sure what.the issue was with yhe golf cart. It was fully charged when you arrived and only had used one half charge when you left. I had my repairman out and his explainstion was that perhaps you had somehow flipped the safety switch would deactivate the cart. ,(This happens frequently do it is assessed in the cart's instructions) Once the switch was flipped on it worked and as this date 6/17/22 the cart work fine. I am so sorry you found our unit unsatisfactory. If you had let us know before your check out we would have Tried to compensate your stay as we do have updated renovated units on the island. Of course, these are listed for slightly more than you paid. None the less we are sorry you were unhappy with your accomodations. Had we been made aware of your complaints we certainly would of addressed your complaints. I do know Nettles Island has some high end units on the rental market maybe they will be a better match for you on your next visit

I am sorry your were disappointed in our property. I would like to take this opportunity to respond and clarify some misinformation that you provided in your review. Firstly, the reservation was made by you for 2 adults and 2 children. Upon registration to the property, 2 other persons arrived at the unit neither one of which was yourself. I am not sure how you can rate my property when you did not actually stay there.. Secondly, you did not contact me via message. text, or phone. This review is the very first time I have had any correspondence from you. A man named Nick did text me the morning of the last day to say upon his arrival to the unit 2 and a half days ago, he found the unit totally trashed and dirty (and used some colorful language in his description). I immediately called and spoke to him. He proceeded to again complain about the condition in which he found the property and again used colorful language. II personally cleaned the unit prior to his arrival so I was taken back by his claims. He did say he wanted to check out immediately and requested a refund of the last night. I agreed. (this was 10:00 am and my check out time is 11 am). Myself and my sister came to the property at 4:00 pm that afternoon to inspect it and the guests had not left yet. The keys were not there and all of their personally belongings were still in the unit. I messaged Nick and did state that it seemed his plans had changed as he had not checked out so I would not be issuing the nightly fee refund. At approximately 6:15 pm, he called me to inform me he was checking out he just wasn't ready to check out yet. Mind you this is 8 hours after my check out time. I informed him again, I would not be issuing a refund since he clearly stayed way past the check out time which he replied " that I i should just come over and tell that to his face". I felt threatened at that comment and immediately contacted VRBO customer service. I was told not to engage in conversation with him and I was not obligated to provide a refund in this circumstance. He has texted and called me many times time since and has been very rude and said some very offensive things. Had Nick been truthful about the condition of the unit and just wanted to check out early I certainly would of worked with him. Moreover, had Nick checked out on time as he said he would I certainly would of refunded the nightly fee. I am sorry that you felt the need to be untruthful in your review about what actually transpired and who actually stayed in my property and that Nick felt the need to be threatening and offensive..

I am sorry that you found the accommodations unsatisfactory. I will address the housekeeping issues with my housekeeper. I can only deduce that the keybox issue was operator error as it worked fine the afternoon of your arrival as well as the morning of your departure. We do provide very detailed instructions for key access. I do not know why you were unable to operate it. I received your phone call at 12:08 am. I was awaken by it, retrieved the voicemail, retrieved my phone and returned the call at 12:11 am. I am sorry you believe that a 3 minute response time in the middle of the night is inadequate. I attempted to apologize but was rudely cutoff. Yes, I did ask you to attempt to access the box again as I believed the box to be operational. ( as was the case ). No I did not follow up the next day and for that I am sorry. I did not for 2 reasons. 1. In the past when I have followed up with guests, I have been chastised by the guests for impeding on their privacy and vacation time and 2. given the tone and the words you had spoken to me earlier I felt it best not to bother you. Again, I am sorry you found the accommodations unpleasing. I hope that it did not negatively impact your stay that you were able to enjoy your weekend get again.

For clarification, the bunk bed area is permitted as a bedroom per county code. Also, the HVAC is not defected. Upon your check out, the A/C technicisn discovered that the switch on the tbemostat had been switched from "cool on" to "cool fan" . Once the the switch was returned to "cool on" the a/c returned to normal operations.

We are so glad you enjoy your quick getaway. My sister loves to travel and always seems to forget one item so she tries to provide those things one may forget. We hope to host you and your wife and your two fur babies again.
