Since you are in a cabin in the woods and on an island, the only noises at night are the hoot of an owl or the wind in the trees. During the day, you can hear the flapping of the eagles' wings as they soar overhead. Hike the woods on a nearby trail close by to the top of the island mountain at 1,200 ft, with incredible views of all the islands The antique character of this rustic getaway includes 150-year-old reclaimed tin ceilings and 100-year-old wood flooring. Upstairs bathroom has antique fixtures, with a charming antique claw-foot tub! Please be aware that dealing with firewood does create some dust which might not be comfortable for sensitive guests. . WIFI provided Netflix movies on the smart TV with Roku . Great cell reception . Rate is for 2 adults, slightly higher for additional guests.
There is a fee for pets so check the box when booking
There are lots of narrow steps, which some might find it a challenge, and a steep driveway. Pet friendly: fenced yard backs up to the woods,
Area information: Lummi Island is the easiest of the San Juan islands to get to, just a ten-minute ferry ride leaving 17 miles NW of Bellingham takes your car yet a world away from the hustle and noise of the mainland. A very quiet setting where the only sounds are the birds and the wind in the trees.
Skies are without city light pollution. Lummi Island is a true island surrounded by water, with sunrise views of snow-capped Mt. Baker (10,781 feet) from the bedroom .
Very little car traffic, watch for the deer on the roads Things to do on the island Lummi island is nature lover's delight, a quiet and peaceful place to reconnect with nature, and your partner. Not a busy tourist area, only a small grocery store and restaurant open part time Definitely bring your grocery and supplies with you from mainland
