Great location and simple, lovely layout. With a yard rolling right down to the beach, a firepit outside and everything we needed, it was an amazing stay on Guemes.
We loved our stay; it was quiet, beautiful & peaceful. We loved watching the boat traffic, comfy beds, there was a fan (stored under the bed), all kitchen basics, clean remodeled bathroom, and amazing water view & access. Gave 4 stars instead of 5, as the kitchen was not as clean as should be/as the rest of the home, and pots & pans/dishes/silverware were visibly dirty. Overall a nice stay!

Excellent location on a beautiful beach, perfect for beach combing! Walking distance from Dog Woods preserve makes it a dog friendly location. We did have some concerns about the water coming from the kitchen and bathroom faucets. It had a strong sulphur and rusty smell so we used the water cooler provided as much as possible.

Great rustic cabin
Loved waking up to the seagulls and waves crashing and drinking coffee while tending the wood burning stove. Couple nice hikes close by and an easy walk to the restaurant/general store. We enjoyed our date weekend! Thanks for the hospitality !
Although the cabin is indeed "rustic" is was clean and the location is great. The shipping lanes in front of the cabin provided endless entertainment when not walking on the beach itself.

Fun time on Guemes
Loved the beach access. The fire pit is very efficient. Very comfy beds. Well heated for cool mornings.
We had a wonderful stay at this Guemes Island home. Check-in was super easy and we felt incredibly spoiled to stay in a property right on the beach! Guemes is a lovely quiet island and our stay was peaceful and restorative. Thank you!
So much wildlife. A beautiful, meditative place to be. A labyrinth up by the library, Guemes Mtn hike, a wonderful Peach Preserve Loop walk.

Checked all the boxes
This stay was a great compromise for us - I wanted to be on the water, my partner wanted to be in a rustic space. Check and check. It was great for us for a few nights. I spent many hours combing the quiet beach for agates and other fun rocks! A note for future guests totally unrelated to the house itself: be sure to research ferries (Guemes and Anacortes > other islands) thoroughly - cost, timing, tickets vs reservations, etc - because as folks unfamiliar it did cause us some stressful moments. A lovely stay and we are looking forward to a return visit in the future!

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Great Beach Location
two friends and their dog stayed here for a wedding at Guremes Island Resort. The listing was accurate, but the automated responses to inquiries was a little frustrating. They let me know at about 3pm that I could check in early at Noon, same on the check out. Great place though and on the water.
A frame house w tall wondows looking over the bay. Waterfront property w all amenities to enjoy the scenic beauty and quiet of the island. Adequately furnished and spatially laid out. Make sure to carry all essentials as there is only one store on the island w limited supplies.

Lovely beachfront charm
We've stayed here twice because we enjoy the location so much. It's cozy, bright, and has all the amenities we want while being pet friendly. This week was no exception but we certainly had some exciting weather and were grateful to feel snug and safe through a windstorm and king tides, just as we felt last year during a historic snowstorm. I'm sure this place is even more beautiful in summer but it's a glorious space and I'm grateful we can rent it.
The property was lovely, and access to the beach from the backyard... priceless. Loved the ability to bring our pup along for the weekend. Great views and beautiful sunsets. A few things could use a little TLC, and the listing updated to reflect. Also a note that the septic system has a bit of an offputting sulfur smell, but totally appreciated the hot/cold water filter provided.

Fantastic as long as you know you are taking a ferry!
Great rustic spot on the water. Note though..no w/d no dishwasher. All else is cozy and great! But another noteworthy mention. You take a ferry to the island and they stop running early on weekdays and rather early if attending evening events on the mainland!!!
