About this property

Cozy rustic cottage minutes away from Tanglewood and Stockbridge center

Beautiful small private cottage, across the road from Stockbridge Bowl Lake. Easy access ( 1 mile ) to Tanglewood, Very short pleasant drive to Stockbridge Center and Lenox. 6 minute drive to Kripalu.
2 small bedrooms each with a double bed; plus 1 bedroom (with sliding wall) with 2 single beds. Plus sleep sofa in living room.
Fully furnished, full ready to use kitchen; comfortable living room with cathedral ceiling, fireplace, wood paneling and comfortable furniture, and separate large dining room with floor to ceiling glass doors, and large deck overlooking hillside with patio furniture.
No pets, no smoking, no candles.

Please note: Our family has been enjoying this summer cottage for over 40 years. We find it very comfortable throughout the season. However it is a summer house in the woods - it is not a business owned rental property or a hotel.

Our family has owned and loved this cottage for over 40 years. We have loved hiking and walking the countryside, swimming at the town beach across the road, going to Tanglewood, and other music, theater, and arts activities. At the cottage, we relax and eat on the deck, or sit around the living room reading, talking, and listening to music. Many happy meals have been created in the kitchen, and eaten around the dining room table.

Why they chose this property

It's quiet and rural, yet minutes away from the charming villages of Stockbridge and Lenox. Very close access to Tanglewood was the first reason we chose this spot, and we have found so much more to explore and enjoy in the area.

What makes this property unique

Minutes to Tanglewood, Lenox, and Stockbridge center, and yet it is a very quite, peaceful country spot.
