Now offering discounted 30day rental periods. Our historically restored and fully renovated building includes one off-street parking space, private elevator, large piazza and gourmet kitchen. Master bedroom on main floor contains King bed and large master bath. Antique staircase leads to 4th floor bedroom containing 1 full bed, 2 twin beds and a full bath (there is no door on this bedroom as it is located in the finished attic, please... please consider this before booking). Large sectional sofa, 9 seat kitchen island, 2 flat screens and additional full hall bath are just a few of the amenities. Easy walk to all the best Charleston has to offer. The perfect venue for a long term stay or for hosting small meetings or elegant dinner parties. Our rate is based on 4 but we can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests.

Amazing property

We had the wonderful opportunity to stay for 5 nights. The residence could not be more beautiful and the owner went out of his way to make our stay extra special. I agree with one of the other reviews that it is just so perfect I am sure trying to get in again may be difficult! Definitely, try the restaurant as it is great food. Thanks again Steven for hosting our family.

Perfect location for visiting Charleston and incredible host!

This property is just a block away from all the great shopping and restaurants on King Street in Charleston. We walked everywhere and never needed our car in three days. The apartment itself is beautiful and perfectly furnished with everything that you could need. The owner of the property was an amazing host who checked in several times to ensure we had everything that we needed. It also sits atop one of the best restaurants in town that you must try! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Beyond Wonderful!

We have stayed at VRBOs and ABNBs all over the United States and hands down this is my favorite place! Steven's house is beautifully decorated with an amazing kitchen and stocked with everything you could ever need. The outdoor seating area was wonderful to sit outside and have a glass of wine. Steven is beyond kind and accommodating and his restaurant Stella's (on the bottom floor) is spectacular! We cannot rave enough about this VRBO, Steven or Stella's!

Perfect place in the middle of the city.

Steve, the owner was on it from day one and throughout our stay. The home has everything you could think of and more! Beautifully decorated throughout the home. We felt right at home! I absolutely loved having my coffee in the morning on the porch. The apartment was centrally located and we were able to to walk to the parks, market, resturants, Charleston Music Hall, and shops! Perfect for a girls weekend with 3 full bathrooms, beds for all and lots of areas to lounge. Great place!

Beyond ANY expectation!

This property lived up to the pictures and description plus more! We enjoyed Steven's apartment for a long weekend of high school friends celebrating 50th birthdays. Over the top on all facets. THANK YOU Steven for you and your staff's friendliness and help in making an AWESOME weekend!! I highly recommend this property as it is close to everything we wanted to do in Charleston. Plenty of room and amenities for 6 ladies. The balcony porch was a plus for drinking coffee in the morning and late night chats after dinner.

Very clean and charming!

Steven, the owner of the property, is first class with his guests. His condo is clean, fully equipped, and spacious. No detail is overlooked and he goes above and beyond to make your stay as convenient as possible. His restaurant, Stellas, is authentic and delicious Greek food and conveniently located right on the first floor of the building. It’s very clear that Steven is passionate about the hospitality industry and he is truly client centric and accommodating. My family really enjoyed our stay and have already taken the opportunity to share this gem with others interested in visiting Charleston. Great apartment and an amazing host

The apartment is very comfortable like home. The kitchen "wowed" my spouse as she loves to cook. The property has possibly the best equipped kitchen of any rental we have experienced. Towels are plentiful. Beds are comfortable. The outside porch is a pleasure. Attention to detail is evident all around. Steven is an amazing host. Forgot an ingredient for your cooking? Steven has it. Like the bread at the restaurant? Steven say, "may i get you a loaf". He is most hospitable and always available in his restaurant downstairs. I would definitely return.

Comfortable and convenient

My husband and I went to Charleston for a mini vacation with my in-laws. Steven's condo is located just one block off of King. Shopping and countless restaurants are within walking distance. You cannot beat the location. The condo was very clean and super comfortable. We have stayed in many rentals and this one by far was stocked more than any other. We placed a Publix delivery order on day one. It was nice to not have to order spices, coffee or paper products. There is no need to pack shampoo or body wash either. In addition to being the most stocked, Steven was hands down the most accommodating host ever! I reached out a couple times with questions and he always responded immediately. He went above and beyond for us and we are very grateful. Thank you for a great stay!

Beautiful apartment with plenty of space in great location!

We stayed for four nights with our three young daughters and The Westendorff proved to be the perfect spot for us! The apartment is decorated beautifully and has plenty of space for a family of five to spread out (assuming your kids are ok sharing a room). We experienced a lot of rain so were very glad to have the huge covered porch and a lovely living space where all could relax. The location is perfect with just a two block walk to King's street. The only potential negative was that having the banquet space and restaurant below the apartment meant a bit of noise during an event and busy restaurant times. It quieted down on Saturday night around 10PM so wasn't a problem but if you are very sensitive to noise or are looking for a really quiet spot, this probably isn't the place for you. We loved being in the middle of it all and enjoying the vibrant city! Steven was great and very flexible with arrival and departure times and has really made the place so clean and welcoming.

Charleston Perfection!

I hesitate to even write this review, as I'm sure someday in the near future people will catch onto this gem and I'll never be able get a reservation again! Words cannot describe what a wonderful place this is. My husband and I convened here for the long weekend with my parents and my brother to celebrate a few milestones. We all live in separate cities, so we were looking for a place where we could socialize and spend quality time together without being stuck in separate hotel rooms. We also have a dog that we were able to bring with us, which was such a treat! Having him there was a huge added bonus, since my family doesn't get to see him much. The apartment was the absolute perfect place for us. The renovations that were done on the apartment are incredible- the original charm of the building is still present, but with all of the modern amenities and luxuries that you'd find in a five star hotel. The living room was spacious and homey, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were pristine and well stocked with towels. My parents can't stop talking about the beautiful master suite, including the walk in closet complete with a chandelier! The kitchen is what you would expect to see in the home of a chef- albeit a very successful one. It is truly a dream. Our only regret is that we didn't have enough time to cook! It appeared to be equipped with everything you could possibly want or need. It's also worth noting the truly excellent service that we received from Steven, the owner. My father unfortunately injured his achilles in the week leading up to our visit and was in a walking boot. Steven greeted my parents when they arrived and carried their bags upstairs, which was truly above and beyond. He also left us some delicious wine and beer in the fridge, along with fresh ground coffee and creamer. On our last day, he allowed us to stay a few hours past check out so we could enjoy lunch together before leaving without having to find another place to park. It is easy to see how Steven has made service his business and succeeded- he is a master of the details, and those are the things that truly make all the difference. We are forever ruined for staying anywhere else in Charleston and cannot wait to come back and visit again in the years to come!

Gorgeous home with some unfortunate deal breakers

First, I must give this VRBO the credit it deserves: Wow, this home is gorgeous. The remodel/decor are like a dream. The kitchen is well stocked. The balcony is spacious & private...we enjoyed many mornings and nights relaxing on the balcony. But, I will say- please believe the reviews that say the street is loud. It is very true...it's as if the sound amplifies off the buildings that surround the VRBO. The bad- The bath in the loft is unusable. The space leading to the bathroom has an industrial sized water heater that produces so much heat that it makes the bathroom unbearably hot, like sauna hot. There also was no hot water in the loft shower, all 4 of us tried, so I doubt it was user error. The really bad- We stayed 6 days...for 5 of those days there was a god awful sewer smell that filled the home. It was incredibly strong in the loft. We promptly let the owner know. He quickly responded and sent management over, we were told this sometimes happens in Charleston and that it would be gone in 24 hours. The smell came and went the entire 6 days of our trip. I used all my perfume trying to mask the smell....the loft windows don't open, so we couldn't vent the smell out of the home. The one day of nasal relief that we received was Sunday- the day that the restaurant was closed. We contacted management again to make them aware that the smell did not go away and requested room spray. The response was kind, very apologetic, and prompt....however, our problem was never solved. We were told "that's Charleston for you" and "the other building smells much worse." I just don't believe it's a Charleston thing. We have friends that were staying 3 blocks away that didn't have any foul odor in their vrbo. In addition, even if this "is a Charleston problem" a simple and very effective solution is an odor tight check valve. The unusable loft bathroom and chronic sewer smell were incredibly disappointing. We paid a lot of $ to smell sewer all week. Property management was sincerely apologetic but that did nothing to fix the problem for us. There was no offer to make things right. No money refunded, nothing. Heck, even dinner downstairs at Stella's would have been a nice gesture....like, "Hey, sorry the home smells so baldy that you have to spray perfume on your pillow to mask the smell long enough to fall asleep....so go get drunk on us- maybe you'll pass out and forget about the smell for a night." *Staff was kind & held our bags after checkout.

Charleston for Annual Planning

Beautiful property, excellent location. We were able to have a wonderful place to work and walk or take quick uber rides to amazing restaurants. All of the bells and whistles provided. They even had coffee for us. Nice touch!

In the future I'd tell guests that a hundred people will be walking by there car while it's parked in the designated spaces because my Rover is scratched all the way down the driver's side where I parked close to that wall...

Nice place

Main floor and master is very nice, outdoor deck is great. Upstairs has no privacy, not closed off and is really a step down for the second room. Not great for two couples. Other than that it’s a very nice place. Street noise in the morning very early is very loud.

This home had it ALL! We truly enjoyed the beautiful and roomy accommodations, location, clenliness, and all the necessities we could have needed! Steven was just a text away and has thought of everything you might need to have a rockstar experience in Charleston! Wonderful stay in beautiful Charleston!

Perfect accommodations in an amazing and convenient Charleston location! Steven was extremely helpful and responsive with the whole process and any additional questions. The apartment is even more beautiful in person, very roomy, bright and amazing outdoor deck area as well that we very much enjoyed the whole stay. Fantastic Experience

We dropped off our oldest daughter at CofC and were looking for a "home base" away from home. Steve and his team hit it out of the park! The location, accommodations and hospitality were perfect. Our plan is to return frequently ... assuming our daughter is successful in her academic pursuits:)

Why they chose this property

The restoration of this building was a labor of love that took almost 5 years to complete. Our Greek restaurant, Stella's, occupies the main floor and is open for Sunday brunch and lunch and dinner daily. The second floor is a banquet space that seats up to 60 guests for all types of parties.

What makes this property unique

Our building offers an opportunity to stay in what has already become a historic landmark in the upper king corridor. We are one block from the vibrant King St shopping district and 2 blocks from visitor's center.
