Sand Dollar is a very charming and cozy oceanfront vacation home--sure to be your new favorite getaway. Located right on the beach in the Roads End area of Lincoln City, Oregon you can sit on the oceanfront deck, or relax in the oceanfront hot tub and listen to the roar of the ocean or cozy up inside watch the storm waves crash upon the beach. This home is immaculate and adorable--perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend at the beach with a close friend. On the patio, you will find a firebox--a great place to gather around in the evening. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen, you'll find a gas grill for cooking on the patio, perfect for your beach-side BBQ. Beautifully decorated and complete with clean and comfortable furnishings, Sand Dollar has everything you'll need for your relaxing getaway at the beach.

We appreciate your booking but ask that you carefully review our guest contract should you book with us again. We state in the contract that we will charge for extra cleaning should that be necessary, which was the case after you checked out and we discovered pet feces on the carpet.

Amazing Home

A special anniversary celebration at the beach!

We stayed here to celebrate our 14 year anniversary. As soon as we got there, we knew it was going to be a special place. The location is perfect! We watched the most beautiful sunsets both nights. The house is very cute and nice! It was clean and cozy. We’ve been coming to the coast almost 20 years and this was definitely our favorite place to stay.

Great beachfront stay

This house is great and just like the listing. The path to the beach is a bit treacherous- but there's an easy access path a few doors down.

the house was neat and tidy when we arrived. The view and building were as expected. Just prior to our stay we were informed that the oven wasn't working but we'd be given a replacement. It was a toast oven. Our plans were for a typical oven and when texting with staff it took a lot to get a larger airfryer/mini oven that met the needs of feeding a family. It was very expensive compared to other stays we've had on the same street. the quality of beds and couches was higher but we struggle to find the 4x value. the pictures are very details but don't shows how the size and quantity of furniture makes the space feel small. there's no traditional kitchen/dining table, so plan accordingly. Bathroom is updated and nice. shower stall Bluetooth was a hit for our kids. It was a stay we had for our 25th anniversary and son's birthday, but not worth the for us.

No heat. No hot tub. Renter beware.

This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I cannot believe I was made to pay full price for a rental that did not have heat. At the beginning of the day we were supposed to check in I received an email that the hot tub was not working and would not be usable during our stay. Obviously, a major reason we chose to book the property. Upon arriving it was nice and easy to find and get into. That's about it. The heat was at a crisp 60 degrees when we went to bed, only to wake up to the house being at 53 degrees. No heat. I notified the property in the morning. They told me their "maintenance" person would be over to check it out. There never was a maintenance person. Only a man who knocked on the door four hours later with two space heaters, and then told us they knew the heat wasn't working yesterday and they don't know what the problem is. I notified the property management this was unacceptable. The only response I got was to please let them know if we were going to be leaving the property earlier than the scheduled check out time. WASTE OF MONEY. I would never trust this VRBO property group ever again. I really should have received a discount. I was told we would be reimbursed the hot tub fee, and that never happened either.

Great home, no so great service

This home is beautifully decorated and in an ideal location on the beach. My family, including two children ages 7 and 11, loved the access to the yard and beach. It should be noted that there is a rocky path down a small cliff to get to the beach that isn’t well described in the listing. There is also a public access a couple of doors down if needed. We mostly enjoyed our time there and would consider returning. I would share frustration with the property manager. There is an attempt to establish communication for any needs or concerns, but those concerns were never met. Two examples - 1) there was water pouring out of the vent hood onto the stove top when we arrived. The housekeeper who has just left the house had to have noticed but didn’t address it. When we contacted Meredith Lodging, they sent a nice gentlemen over who said there was nothing he could do, he snapped a few pictures and then said they had to contact the owner. The next morning, we woke to a chilly house, in the high 50s, and tried to turn on the heat. The heat was not functioning. We reached out to Meredith twice, even giving permission for them to enter the home with us not there, and the heat was never addressed or fixed. It created very cold mornings, especially for two kids. I love the house but would suggest the owner find a better property manager who can address urgent needs like water and heating issues.
