Perfection in paradise

The location is just perfect. Right on the beach, walking distance to town, next to taxi stand. The pool is lovely. The villa is great - every room faces the beach and bedrooms all have air conditioning.The kitchen could use updating but still works fine. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent!

Wonderful, very responsive hosts. One thing that was not totally clear to us until we got there is that all common areas, kitchen, dining, couches, are outdoors (as with most rentals in the area), only the bedrooms are "indoors" with AC. But to open your bedroom and see the gorgeous beach just steps away––wow. That's heaven.

Could be the perfect surf trip

This was my first trip to the area and already looking to book a return trip. The villa was super clean with an incredible view right on the ocean. Troncones is a great quiet little town with amazingly friendly people everywhere you go. Surf out front was pretty heavy so we spent most of our time surfing the ranch and saladita but they’re easy drives from the villa so no big deal. Chris helped with any questions we had right away and was super accommodating.

Tranquil location and vacation

This property is conveniently located in Trocones. It's within walking distance to town and biking distance to the local bays. The pool is fabulous and the other guests were all lovely when we were there. It's a small place so don't expect to be a loud party crew w/o hearing about it from other guests. This is a great place to stay if you're seeking to relax and enjoy your vrbo and local activities. As a reminder this is all open-air living - kitchen and living areas - so if you want AC all the time, this is not the location for you unless you are ok spending time in your room. We found it to be pleasant in the shade and open-air was great.

Perfect vacation

My husband and I and a small group of friends stayed at this property and had an amazing time! The villa is right on the beach with amazing views, the pool is phenomenal and only steps away. The villa was clean, beds and pillows comfortable, and overall just a great place to rent. This is our 2nd trip to Troncones and we love the laid back atmosphere and small town. The people are all wonderful. We will be back!

It doesn't get any better than this!

We loved our trip to Troncones, and Villas Las Rubias was THE perfect place to stay. The owners were so helpful throughout the process and the local team took such good care of us while were were there. It was "calor de cajones," as they say, but with the beach and the picture perfect pool, we were set! Troncones is a really neat place with a community feel. One night we got "take-out" from a local restaurant (Chenchos) and they gave us an enormous platter with real plates to return the next day. Another day we ran out of pesos and the proprietor at a cafe down the street (Indigo) said we could just pay later. We had an amazing meal cooked right at the villa by local chef Gracia. We got fish and fruit from the daily trucks, smoothies and coffee from Pacifico across the street every morning, and did yoga every afternoon at Present Moment two doors down. It wasn't really surf-able right out front (too rocky and closed out) but we got great intel about the best nearby spots from another owner and the local surf bros. We were two couples with kids in tow (8, 6, and almost 2), and having that amazing pool, the beach, and the sandy spot right out in front of the villa was ideal. Oh, and daily housekeeping too - clutch! However, if you do have small kids, make sure to carefully look at the pics and description and make sure it will work for you - the bedrooms with their panoramic windows and glass doors open right up to the outside, so it can feel a little exposed if the kiddos are sleeping alone, especially in the downstairs bedroom. We put the 6 & 8 year old in a bedroom upstairs and it worked out just fine. It really was a magical trip. We will be back for sure. Thank you!

PERFECTION

Our party was 4 adults, a 7 year old and a 2 month old. The house was excellent. Clean, well kept and had everything we needed. The pool and grounds were equally as exceptional. We stayed for 7 days total and the staff was incredibly kind, caring and wonderful. The city itself was charming and had everything we needed. We would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone.

Paradise

I stayed at the beachfront villa for a week and felt as if I died and gone to heaven. The house sits just steps from the beach as well as the saltwater infinity pool. The villa is very comfy and beautifully decorated. the town has many authentic Mexican food options within walking distance as well as even a great place for real coffee just outside the gate. Best vacation ever!

The Villa is unique because it is only a few steps from the beach with expansive views. You can have an authentic Mexican experience, in a wonderful and safe village but also enjoy modern amenities and privacy which is rare in the Mexican Riveria. Troncones has so much to offer. The fun and friendly mix of locals and expats make you feel at home, with smiles, extra care and attention. We are busy professionals, so we like to relax deeply when we are on vacation, but we play hard too. The Villas makes this easy! Morning Yoga, a stroll along a near empty beach, or a relaxing dip in the pool can be augmented with world class offshore fishing for Marlin or Sailfish, a rigorous horseback ride or an afternoon working to improve our surfing.

What makes this property unique

We've traveled extensively throughout the U.S., Mexico, Hawaii, The Caribbean and S.E. Asia. The Villas offers affordable modern luxury accomodations in a safe, relaxed atmosphere on stunning Troncones Beach. Troncones beach is shockingly beautiful, private and fun- it simply cannot be beat. The place gets into your soul it is so beautiful. We love "Real Mexico". The people, the culture, the amazing food and an authentic experience make a trip to the Villas memorable. We are active and we have enjoyed Fishing that is better than The Florida keys or Cabo or Puerto Vallarta. Surfing that matches the best California and Hawaii have to offer. Snorkeling equivalent to Islamorada and the Phillipines. We enjoy all nature has to offer in Troncones Lagoon, whale watching, and of course tending to baby sea turtles. Troncones is a unique, authentic experience that can be enjoyed in a new, modern, luxurious Villa just steps from the beach. We hope you enjoy it!
