NEIGHBORHOOD
You will enjoy this perfect escape in our totally updated coastal cottage. Nestled in the quiet, historic Morro Heights you can escape from the hustle bustle of city life. You’ll hear very little traffic or neighborhood noise because you are tucked away behind our main house in your secluded setting. Walk 7 blocks to the Embarcadero/Bay, downtown is 3 blocks, and Morro Rock 1.5 beautiful miles.
SPACE
Inside you’ll quickly see the freshly updated decor and super clean Cottage. The 800 sq ft space is great for 1 or 2 couples or a small family. Both bedrooms are comfortable and cozy. Primary bedroom has a Queen bed, primary bath with tub/shower and 2nd smaller bedroom has a double bed. 1/2 bath is in the hallway. Large closets in each bedroom to store clothes and gear. The comfy living room is inviting to kick back, open up the windows and feel the breeze. We offer verified high-speed internet, Roku cable TV or sign into your streaming accounts, plenty of books, puzzles, cards and games for your entertainment. The fully equipped new kitchen has granite counters and appliances and is well stocked for your culinary needs.
The garden area offers ample seating on the porch to relax with early morning coffee or evening Happy Hour. Fresh herbs & veggies are sometimes available near the walkways to add to your meals. We offer private off-street parking next to the Cottage with easy walkability to the entrance.
GETTING AROUND
You can take off on foot anytime from 'The Cottage'. We are on the west side of Hwy 1, so easy access to groceries, library, downtown, Farmers Market, restaurants, wine tasting, Embarcadero shops and Scout Coffee are all just a few blocks away.
Public transportation is available from Morro Bay throughout the County, also Morro Bay Transit and Morro Bay Trolley (seasonal) locally.
ACTIVITIES
Daytime, enjoy boogie boarding or surfing North of the Rock, taking paddle board or sailing lessons in the bay, watching marine life, rent a kayak, take a whale watch tour and don’t miss the otters! When you’re finished head over to our favorite afternoon spot, Dockside Too, on the fishing docks for all types of fish, wine or beer and live music every day.
Visit the Museum of Natural History, Morro Bay Natural estuary, go birding in the estuary. Hike Black Hill, Morro Dunes trails, Estero Bluffs, Harmony Headlands or Montana de Oro Bluff Trail. Drive 30 minutes to tour Hearst Castle or see the Elephant Seals or a bit further for the beginning of the Big Sur Coastline.
Check Out the new pedestrian/bike bridge that will take you to the North end of Morro Bay from Morro Rock area or head on out to Morro Rock for a great morning walk. Evenings, stroll 7 blocks to the Embarcadero for Happy Hour fish tacos at Dutchman's Fish House, or take a dinner cruise.
When it’s time to turn in, leave your windows open and listen to the surf, barking seals and foghorns in the distance, yet not overpowering – can’t beat that!

Please read the cancellation policy, we cannot make exceptions. In certain circumstances, we may be able to alter your dates if we are notified early enough. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. For protection against extenuating circumstances, medical emergencies and other complications, we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance, there are many options available.
