Lovely property on a quiet street. Very clean. Quiet courtyard in the front of the house shielded from road by a large hedge was great. Full kitchen enabled us to make several meals. Chairs for the beach, iron, pretty much everything provided that we needed during our short stay. Would definitely stay here again.
Nice, clean home. Convenient location in a quiet neighborhood. Photos accurate represent the space. Easy communication with the homeowner. Recommended!
Our stay at the Courtyard was pure perfection! It was ideal for our Girls Trip- my sister, mom and I. Everything was even better than the pictures and listing showed- so many little touches. Check-in and checkout were seamless, prompt responses to any communication, comfortable beds and a very well appointed kitchen! The "hidden" courtyard out back was magical...just wish the Morro Bay weather had been more conducive to enjoying the lovely outdoor spaces. The location is just minutes north of downtown Morro Bay- easy access to downtown, traveling inland to Atascadero or up north to Cambria or the wineries. Very quiet and safe neighborhood. Just wish we had stayed longer than 3 nights...We would gladly stay here again- by far the best lodgings we have had for our frequent trips to this area. Thank you for a magical place to stay Rhoda!
This rental is stocked with everything you could possibly need! There was a beach wagon, umbrella, and chairs. There was a bike, wetsuits, and surfboard. There were games and books for kids. Even DVD’s and books for adults. The bedrooms had fans, extra everything. The beds and bedding were super comfy too. The kitchen had all supplies you could need for cooking, even drink mixing stuff. The heated electric fireplace was lovely, there’s a fire pit out front, both front and back were fenced and private. It’s walking distance to the park and even the beach. But with young kids a little far to hoof it. There’s a market and restaurants nearby. It was absolutely perfect!!
We love that there are two queen sized beds in the second bedroom so the kids have plenty of space. Neighborhood is quiet and safe! Would stay at again
This 4 day stay was super!! We felt right at home as every need was met, from the luxurious linens and towels, the well-stocked kitchen, comfortable living area seating, and outdoor patio. LOTS of recreation equipment was also available. We are looking forward to staying here again!
Loved getting much needed R & R at this very quiet location - centrally located small home just 5 minute drive to beach and 10 minutes to downtown and Embarcadero.
House amenities were abundant, and we really felt comfortable and safe.
Thank you very much!
We had a great relaxing and peaceful few days staying at this home. We took time to go to Hearst Castle, wine tasting and even went for massages in San Luis Obispo. It was a perfect location for getting to the various places as well as hanging out in Morro Bay for our early morning coffee at Daisy’s Organic Coffee. We also visited Montaña de Oro State Park. I would highly recommend this cozy peaceful home in Morro Bay.
Small but cozy (esp for just the 2 of us); had everything we needed including a comfortable bed, fluffy towels, & best-appointed kitchen I've ever seen in a vacation rental. A bit away from the bustle of the town center (ahhhh!), but near enough to everything we wanted to see & experience. Rhoda's a thoughtful host, and VERY responsive. This was just the get-away we both needed!

Very nice cottage. Well furnished. Good neighborhood. Good location. Owner easy to deal with, very nice.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Was perfect for a small family, the teenagers shared the bedroom with the two double beds. All the beds were very comfy, everything was spotless and the vibe was very “beachy” and so inviting. I’d love to stay here again the next time we need a little getaway.
Great bed! Excellent shower. Efficient kitchen. Best of all it is just a short ride from the Morro Strand State beach. Great for after dinner walks on the beach.
We loved staying here. It was perfect for our needs (mom, dad, 2 adult(ish) sons). The king bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the blankets, fluffy large towels, kitchen amenities, washer & dryer, fans, and front patio. The only cons, which were relatively minor, was the aged Roku which limited tv options & struggling bathroom fan which kept things pretty damp in there, contributing to mold on the shower grout. It was a lovely place to stay and we would definitely stay there again.
We so enjoyed our stay here on a rainy Easter weekend! This is the perfect family cottage with super comfy beds and linens, towels galore, a spacious kitchen and living room, and a lovely private front patio with a fire pit we lit in between rains. We saw so many sea otters and flew kites in town, and it was a lovely short drive to Hearst Castle and elephant seals, and San Luis Obispo. Would book this house again in a heartbeat. We’re enjoying our Easter morning brunch and Netflix while doing a load of laundry before checking out. Thank you to our hosts for opening your home to us!
The house was perfect for our family, cute, roomy, and we’ll stocked. Patio was amazing for our toddler to play safely on while we watched him from inside. This will be a great place to stay during the warmer weather months.
Host was fantastic and very very responsive.
The stay in this house was amazing. Very quiet neighborhood, which we greatly enjoyed. We were informed the neighbors were installing a fence, but it did not bother us at all. The house was well stocked with basic condiments in the kitchen as well beach toys for our kids to enjoy! My kids especially enjoyed the boogie boards! We definitely would visit again.

Morro Bay retreat
This two bedroom one bath cottage is an excellent value in the rental world. The home was clean and very well equipped. The front patio was a nice touch and allowed a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee or other beverage. The beds as advertised were great and the bathroom well done. It would be very easy to come back again.
The property was better than we hoped. The dual patios were great! Quiet neighborhood in walking distance to Del Mar Park and Spencer’s grocery store. Also several eateries in walking distance. The property was clean and nicely appointed. We had a wonderful stay and we plan to return.
Nice place short walk from the beach and short drive to SLO
Perfect place for delivering a kid to Cal Poly. Away from the busier places in SLO. Very quiet. Also a good base for some hiking and mountain biking. No big deal but there is no dishwasher.
Our party of 6 had a wonderful 4 day stay here! Great space, kept super clean, and nicely updated. We appreciated all the attention to details with amenities. I prefer to cook meals on vacation and this kitchen was well stoked and had everything I needed. Very quite neighborhood. We would love to come back! Only comment I have is that the 10am checkout was a but tricky for us with three little ones. Overall a wonderful time!

About the host
Hosted by Owner operated
Residing in Fresno and have always enjoyed the coastal towns of Cayucos and Morro Bay. This area of California holds many wonderful memories and great adventures.
Why they chose this property
The Del Mar park has Pickle Ball courts and is within walking distance. Visiting Hearst Castle and the Farmers market in San Luis Obispo is a favorite. Kayaking in Morro Bay is also recommended. Having a front enclosed courtyard with a firepit and barbecue makes it a great entertaining space. The backyard also has a cement area to relax and read a book.
What makes this property unique
This home has a large courtyard for entertaining and relaxing. It is very kid friendly. Because it is single story it is also friendly for those that have difficulty with stairs. There are wetsuits and boogie boards for your use. I hope you enjoy yourself as much as I do when I visit.
