About the host
Hosted by John Kirchhofer

Hi! My name is John. My wife, Nan, and I live in Dallas, TX and are blessed with 5 lovely kids. We purchased this home in Breckenridge in March, 2015 and have enjoyed it for purely personal use since. We absolutely love Breck and have particularly enjoyed everything the location of this home has to offer - 1.5 hour drive from Denver, minutes from downtown restaurants and shops, even a library across the street where we can check out new books and movies. If we could be in Breckenridge every weekend, we most certainly would. But the reality of living in Texas makes that hard, so we wanted to share our wonderful, charming, and convenient home with other families or groups who might enjoy it in some of the same ways we do.
Why they chose this property
Since our kids were born, we have been going on ski trips every winter. After visiting dozens of different towns across Colorado for the past two decades, we can confidently say that Breckenridge provides the perfect combination of convenience (1.5 hour drive or 3 hour shuttle from DIA), a charming downtown (the historic downtown association has preserved the authenticity of this locally driven place), beautiful views (from our home and other spots in town), great skiing (one of the largest mountains in CO with Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Wintergreen and A-Basin within an hour if you'd like to switch it up and try different slopes), friendly locals, endless events and festivities, and so much more. When we found Breck, we decided to look no further and have been incredibly blown away by how much we love this town and the uniqueness of our property. We completely redecorated this home with cozy and luxury furniture (primarily from Restoration Hardware), have stocked the kitchen with all the cooking gadgets you will need, have updated the porch and hot tub area, and have a TV with Comcast cable + connection to Netflix or Amazon Prime. There are also TVs in every bedroom, but with everything going on in Breck out our front door, we suspect you won't use these much!
What makes this property unique
We have decorated and equipped this home for our personal use. The furnishings and accouterments are truly top-of-the-line and much more luxurious than what your would find in a standard rental home. This is not a rental property - it is a family home that we occasionally rent. But what really sets the home apart, in our opinion, is its location. Situated in the center of downtown, as close as can be to restaurant options, breweries, the local grocery store, art galleries, boutiques, etc., 312 Lincoln provides access to an large assortment of fun and interesting places to hang out.
