The Cozy Buffalo is a spacious home with a farmhouse feel. It is in walking distance from the college campus, close to the downtown square, and a 10 minute drive to Palo Duro Canyon. Palo Duro Canyon offers hiking, zip lining, horseback riding, the play Texas, and a multitude of other activities.
The Cozy Buffalo is a home away from home for all of our guests. Including Wifi, Direct TV with 155 + channels, Netflix, Hulu, and many other streaming programs with your username and password.

This 2400 sq ft home has a lot of room for activities or a simple relaxing weekend. It has 2 large living rooms, a nice dining room, a reading nook, and 3 spacious bedrooms. We have added many touches that make the Cozy Buffalo feel like home.

We are a family of six, with four teenagers, and we stayed one night to hike in Palo Duro Canyon on our way to Grand Canyon and Moab, UT. This rental was in a quiet location, and it was clean and updated. We had plenty of room for our family. Great rental, and we would stay here again!

Spring Break Trip

We had a great time! We were hiking in Palo Duro Canyon for spring break, and stayed here for a few days. The house was clean, comfortable, and close to the Canyon.

definitely cozy

We were in town for WT graduation, this place was bigger than we expected, we had plenty of room for friends and family over for dinner! Definitely will stay here again if we are ever in town again!

Great location

Large house with a lot of room and a great location! It was hot when we were there and the A/C worked great. Short drive to Palo Duro Canyon. We had a great trip.

Great place for the whole family!

We absolutely loved our stay here! This property was super clean and had everything we needed for our large family. Great, safe neighborhood, with easy check-in and check-out process. Good communication with the property manager. Would love to return here on our next trip to the area!

The Cozy Buffalo

There is a lot of room for everyone for sure! Very close to businesses and for shopping! Our group was very surprised at all the items that were included, including coffee and filters, coffee pods, and even the soap dispensers in the shower with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner (one is a walk in shower) plus some water and snacks. Very convenient location and comfortable.

Our night in Canyon

We were really happy with this house. It was impeccably clean, very homey and felt hospitable. The bed was comfortable, we loved the original tile in the bathrooms, and it had an overall feel of comfort and warmth.

Older house but lots of room and clean

We stayed with 5 adults and there was plenty of room. Nicely appointed with comfy beds. Huge yard. Only issue we had was a clogged toilet that never got serviced. We were told a plumber would be called but never heard back from owner. Would stay again.

Comfy 70s throwback

Spacious and homey, with beautiful wood built-ins and lots of character! Nice large backyard for the pups to roam and the cutest dining area ever. We appreciated the gratis coffee bar and snacks. Thanks also for the Wrong Way Diner discount; we took advantage of the free burger and it was delish!

An everything space

This property is perfect for literally anything. Got a big group of people? Its got 3 bedrooms with 4 total beds that can easily house 12 people. Need a bigger space for multiple groups of people? It has 2 living rooms for people to hangout in. Got pets? Its a pet friendly property with a large yard for them to run around in. Anyhing you need a property for this has you covered. 10/10 stay.

Excellent Experience

Home was clean and ready for our arrival. Host was very responsive, super helpful & patient with a couple questions we had. We were traveling with 6 grandkids and the floor plan was perfect, nice backyard, great kitchen, washer and dryer was convenient and we will definitely use this home again!! Highly recommend!! Lovely house

The house was decorated cute. It had all the comforts of home. It was spacious and had a big back yard. Owner communicated very well. 15 min to Palo Duro Canyon. Will stay here again if we go back to the canyon.

This house is so huge, it’s hard to explain. Two large comfy living areas accommodate gatherings, while the three bedrooms were more than adequate to house our party of six ladies.

Grand daughters 1st birthday

The place itself is very nice. Big plenty of room and very clean. We rented this place to have our grandaughters 1st birthday party. In the pictures it shows green grass in front and back. Those pictures should be updated. Yard is no longer green, very dry.

Good Location

Great walking ability to some restaurants and shopping. Not too far from Palo Duro. Needs updating. Dining chairs in rough shape. 2nd bathroom very small. Odd layout But for the price a good value.

Canyon Visit

Overall good. Grounds in poor condition. Need to replace bedside table in room with king to a smaller one. Move bed out so you don’t have to crawl over someone to get out of bed. Especially with a sleigh bed.

Cozy, spacious, and fun!

We came to see Palo Duro Canyon, the Water Park, and the 4th of July parade. This was a great home to relax, talk, and cook with our friends ans famiy. Kelby was a super terrific host: He responded to all of our pre-arrival questions, made sure we had EVERYTHING we needed, and was very responsive during our stay. The home was roomy, everything worked well, and everyone liked the comfy beds! The neighborhood was quiet. The backyard is very meditative in the morning. We appreciated the encouraging sayings throughout the kitchen that reminded us to be thankful to Jesus. The layout is L-shaped, so bigger groups can have conversations in different areas in the home and not disturb others. Overall, this is a terrific home to rent if you are going to Palo Duro or visiting your college student at WTAMU.

Great Location

We arrived at the Cozy Buffalo after we had been in 100 degree heat at Palo Dura Canyon. The house was nice and cool so we really appreciated that! I had already received check in information so getting into the house was a breeze. The house was clean and ready. We had 4 adults and 6 children with us. We put 2 people in one bedroom and 3 (one was a small child) in the bedroom with a king size bed. 4 of us slept in the additional room that is at the back of the house. That room was hard to cool off! We still needed to sleep one more person and finally found the blow-up beds in the floor of a closet. We used one of those beds and put it in the front living room. We found some sheets in another closet that was inside the add-on bedroom at the back of the house. Upon awakening the next morning, the blow-up bed was no longer inflated. Thankfully, the child sleeping on it was a deep sleeper. I did not see another place for a second blow-up bed. The second living area is bright and sunny, but with no curtains it would not work to sleep in there. The beds were comfortable. In the morning we walked a very short distance to a donut shop. We didn’t use the kitchen, only the fridge. The location of this VRBO for activities at WT or in Canyon area is great. I would caution with trying to sleep more than 8.
