*YOU MUST ENTER THIS UNIT BY USING THE EXTERIOR METAL SPIRAL STAIRCASE*
This upper floor studio unit is approximately 1000 sq. ft. and has incredible natural light and a view of the creek.
In the common area there is a king sized bed, and a kitchenette. The kitchenette has a fridge, microwave, and several small appliances including a waffle iron and mix. While this unit does not have a dedicated stove, it does have a large toaster/convection oven for your convenience as well as a BBQ located on the balcony.
The bedroom has a queen sized bed and on-suite bathroom.
This space is completely isolated from the rest of the main house. Because you will be located above the main portion of our house, we ask that you observe our quiet hours (10pm - 7am).
NOTE: Unit is accessed via an outdoor metal circular staircase. While it is safe some people have problems with stairways or carrying oversized luggage upstairs, so please be aware of this. Children are welcome but must not be left unattended in the yard. A creek runs through the back of our property and can be quite dangerous during thunderstorms
Guests will have access to the back yard and to all of the amenities listed. You do not need to walk through the house to get to the suite. It is accessed by a private exterior circular staircase.
Your host is available by Airbnb chat, live chat text, phone and the caretaker is always close by.
La Verkin is a small town located about 20 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park. We have a grocery store, a couple of gas stations and an excellent coffee shop. We are located next to Hurricane, which has a Walmart, movie theater, restaurants and more. If you need more than that, St. George is about 25 minutes away.
You will need a car to get around. We have plenty of parking.
Check-in instructions are sent via email and text two weeks before arrival.
Quiet hours are from 10PM until 7AM
CHECK-IN is AFTER 4 p.m. Mountain Time AND
CHECK-OUT is BEFORE 11 a.m. Mountain Time
NO early check-in or late check-out.
ALL UNITS ARE NON SMOKING. SMOKING IS ALLOWED 25 FT FROM BUILDINGS. SMOKING IN THE UNIT WILL RESULT IN A $200 FINE.
PETS ARE NOT PERMITTED IN ANY UNIT UNDER ANY CONDITION. BRINGING A PET TO ANY UNIT WILL RESULT IN A $200 FINE.

Hi! I am Carolyn Murset. My husband and I moved to southern Utah 30 + years ago. because of the magnificent scenery and the equally magnificent people. We had two children when we moved here and now have five. We have 15 grand children who all love this part of the world. It is no wonder so many people visit here, and then end up staying. My husband loves to take pictures and has hung a few at our properties for you to enjoy. He is partial to black and white photography. Our youngest daughter also seems to have caught the bug and you will also see some of her photos as well. I love to sing, act, play the guitar and have hundreds of other interests. It was my idea to start down this road with a vacation rental and we believe it has been a great thing for us and for our fellow travelers. We like to travel, but don't seem to do it as often as we would like to. In fact, we just got our passports!
Why they chose this property
Location, location, location! We love the location of our home and think you will too. We built here in 2014 and have loved it. There is lots of wildlife and we love to listen to the creek in the back yard.
When we built, we built a much bigger house than we intended. Instead of just letting that space sit unoccupied we thought we would share with others who want to come and see the sites in this area without staying in a big box motel. Lots of our guests like to make there own food so they can have just what they want, so we have a full size fridge and lots of small appliances to assist.

What makes this property unique
If you are coming to Southern Utah to take in the scenery, having a home base is invaluable. You can make a pack lunch and come home to crockpot meal or barbque and save a bundle. This is on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. (We consider St. George to be the big City), but still close enough to a Walmart and Costco if you like.
