This detached 1 bedroom/1bath guesthouse sits on a sprawling 10581 sq. ft. property in historic district of Monrovia. It has a full kitchen with complete set of appliances and utensils. A mobile island gives you extra counter space and storage. The living room has dining area and a dedicated workspace which is ideal for remote working guests. The bedroom is spacious with a walk-in closet. The bathroom and bedroom have doors for extra privacy. Washer/dryer are provided in the unit. You have your own outdoor sitting area with umbrella and chairs to lounge. Other highlights of the ADU include High speed internet, cable TV, free access to Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. One of the best features of the house can't even be reflected on photos. It is the convenient location to your everyday needs and business activities even if you don't have a car. Supermarkets, cafes, coffee shops, bars, city library, city park, local gym and a new movie theater, etc. are all within walking distance. We also have home grown fruits such as persimmon, nectar, avocado, lemon and grapefruit etc. in the yard. Depending on the season you stay, you will for sure have the opportunity to taste our fresh and organic fruits. The property is completely fenced to provide guests with a sense of security. We only allow 1 dog under the weight of 15 lbs that is well behaved and house broken. Extra pet fee applies. Whether you come for business or for vacation, enjoy the tranquility, comfort and convenience of this rental. Hope to be of service to you!

Home away from home

I really enjoyed my stay here...very beautiful garden and a calm and serene fountain right outside my door.I was there a week with my 2 cats while my home was have its hardwood flooring refinished...my time was enjoyable and comfortable and I even lucked out and had a delicious avocado from the garden!My hostess Michelle was so sweet, she even gave me clippings from my favorite plant in her garden, so now I can have part of her garden with me in my garden a few miles away!I will definitely stay here again if I need to have more work done on my home in the future.

My sister was displaced by the fire evactualtions and the host was so kind to her. She allowed her in on short notice and was so kind. The property was clean, safe, and very comfortable. A great value for the price. We cant thank them enough.

Monrovia guesthouse

Lovely guesthouse behind the main home. We were quite comfortable throughout our stay. The owners are kind and welcoming and very responsive when we had any questions. This area of Monrovia is very pretty, very quiet and a short walk to Old Town Monrovia. We look forward to our return in December. You cant go wrong with choosing this property for your stay!

The neighborhood was beautiful and safe - lovely place to wander for evening walks. So conveniently located! The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible. This is an excellent property. The hosts are always available and very helpful. Very modern & clean look. The refrigerator, stove, washer/dryer look brand new. Very large TV monitor mounted on wall with tons of channels and movies. Outdoor motion sensor lighting make it very easy to see when walking to car at night. Property is in a beautiful neighborhood for walking and has very close proximity to cool restaurants & bars! I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during my out of town work assignment. Thank you.

Beautiful ADU in Monrovia

This property was perfectly decorated and equipped with everything one needs for a short or long stay. It’s located just a short walk north of Old Town Monrovia which is full of shops and restaurants abd a movie theater. Friday nights there’s a street market which is held every Friday night all year long, except when it rains. There’s a yard full of all kinds of fruit trees—citrus, avocados, persimmons. Michelle has a green thumb and her yard is full of beautiful flowers and roses. The neighborhood is very quiet. Easy access to freeways and you can get anywhere you need to go with ease. Michelle and Mike were wonderful hosts and so kind. Their little dog Yoyo would greet me in the mornings as I sat outside on the lovely shaded patio with my morning coffee. In opening their home to guests Michelle and Mike have created the perfect home away from home. I spent a little over 2 months here and was very sad to leave. I come to Southern California often and this property will be my first choice because it’s quiet and has everything I need. I will definitely be back. Thank you Mike and Michelle for opening your home. I came as a stranger and left knowing I’d made new friends.

Michelle and Mike go above and beyond in so many ways!

We stayed in this guest house for 11 days and it was amazing. The pictures do not do it justice. Michelle and Mike are fabulous hosts and take great pride in their endeavor to be the best hosts you have ever had, going above and beyond in so many ways. All appliances, furniture, bedding and linens are such high quality. The décor is unique and fun! The finishing touches in the bathroom and shower are very impressive. The kitchen, the walk-in closet and the washer/dryer are definite must-haves for longer stays—such a relief for our visit. It’s true! The location is so close to the shopping center that you don't bother driving there! You even look forward to walking there and back! We did it every day! But no worries, the location is also far enough from the intersection that you can’t hear any traffic. The neighborhood is very peaceful and scenic. We may even come back to the area just to stay there again! Thank you Michelle and Mike for making our stay so fantastic!
