Absolutely love this place. Easiest access to downtown Marfa, rooms are always nice and clean and cozy and quiet! The hosts are easy to get a hold of and check in/out is a breeze! Have stayed at Marfa House in different rooms through the years and it's always a treat, 10/10 would highly recommend!!

Lovely place and very well cared for. The host was super responsive to any needs we had and took extra care to make sure all was well. Hope to book again one day.
The place was very clean and check in was a breeze. The location is great and walkable distance to a lot of things. We were worried that the hallway would be loud if the place were busy but it was not and there was no noise.

This Vrbo was perfect for our stay. It was clean and comfortable. We liked having access to laundry. The location was great for walking around Marfa. We would definitely stay here again and also recommend it to friends.

Thank you, Elizabeth! We appreciate your great feedback and look forward to your next visit!
nice little place with a spacious shared lobby, complete with puzzles to work during the snow storm. A little difficult to see the entrance from the street.
Very nice converted historic building. The local artwork throughout makes it special. If you do plan to cook, the kitchen is somewhat lacking. The bed very comfortable, but the couch was not. Overall very nice place to stay and Marfa was a great small town
This little apt in Marfa was perfect for our stay. It’s in a small building of seven units, right in the main area of town, with plenty of parking. The building also has shared spaces - a gathering space downstairs, a screened in porch in the back, and a porch on the second floor where we sat and read books. The apt was small but had everything we needed, the shower had great water pressure, all of the appliances worked well. We have since recommended this apt to friends, and if we go back to Marfa we’d stay here.

Thank you, Robin. We appreciate your kind review and look forward to your next visit.
The Marfa hour was perfect location, very comfortable and nicely appointed. My one need was finding a used condom under the bed when we departed and broken fake nail and dust under side table. That part was gross. I would stay there again but will pay close attention to this

Carter: We apologize for the cleaning oversight—we have rigorous cleaning standards and we require our units to be double-checked, but there was clearly an oversight in the case of your rental. We have had a serious conversation with our cleaning staff, and we promise that your experience will not be repeated if you visit us again. We appreciate your positive comments and promise to not to disappoint you in the future.
We loved this small apartment in the heart of Marfa. Perfect for all our needs. The apartment was nicely decorated and very clean! The host left shampoo, body wash, etc. in the bath that was heavenly! Walk to all the great shopping and restaurants right on the main strip, so we were all set. The host even called to get my address to return a small earring I had dropped in the carpet, so nice! I recommend highly!
Had a GREAT stay. For starters, Anne, the property manager, was incredibly helpful and quickly responded to all our inquiries. Plus the property is well-appointed and very comfortable. Great 50/50 WiFi speed! We actually appreciated not having a TV. It forced us to unplug somewhat, which is something we don't do enough on vacation. And of course, the central location is also a big plus. We had a lower unit, and the noise from upstairs was minimal, even though they had kids that now & then ran around. So don't let that deter you. We would definitely stay here again!
We really enjoyed our stay. We unexpectedly enjoyed that there was no tv in the room. Bed is comfortable and the shower nice and hot. Seems to be new construction so modern appliances and utilities. Clean and well appointed.

About the host
Hosted by Christa M.
Marfa House was an historic, but derelict, adobe structure when the owner purchased it in 2005. After a 14-year renovation project, it was opened in Spring, 2019 to offer guests accommodations in a building with historic character and comfortable modern amenities steps from the center of Marfa. Our Sonya, lives nearby and is available to respond to any needs guests may have and provide information about local resources.
Why they chose this property
Marfa offers many lodgings for travelers, but few that have links to Marfa's 19th century old-West roots and a location literally steps from the galleries, bars, and restaurants of the town's heart. Nearly every room at Marfa House features original art that echoes a blend of Marfa's historic character and its contemporary vibe. Why not stay at a lodging that will provide you magic memories of your West Texas visit as well as comfort and convenience?
A WORD ABOUT OUR CLEANING PRACTICES IN THE WAKE OF THE PANDEMIC: Marfa House wants our guests to be safe during their visits. In response to the Covid-19 Pandemic, we have committed to the following practices: --The Marfa House apartments will be left vacant a minimum of 24 hours between guest residencies. --The host will socially distance and wear a mask during direct interactions with guests. Guests will, of course, have all-hours access to the Marfa House entry and their booked unit via keypad entrance access, including for check-in. --An antiseptic solution will be used to clean all contact surfaces in each unit before guests check in--including door knobs, appliances, counters, and mini split AC/heating and ceiling fan remotes, as well as multiple daily wipe-downs of other high-traffic surfaces such as entry door knobs, light switches, stair railings, and the television remote in the Atrium. ------The space is heated and cooled with an individual mini split HVAC units which utilize fresh air from outside, so there is no recirculated air which could result in health concerns.
What makes this property unique
