The Madrona Leaf Lodge is a cozy home for enjoying the truly tranquil surroundings this place has to offer. Located on the coast between Port Angeles and Sequim, you have easy and convenient access to the Olympic Mountains, National Park, and local attractions. If you choose to stay close to home, you have a private trail with beach access, about a 5 min hike along the creek to a lagoon, where the creek meets the Strait of Juan de Fuca. If you stay indoors, you have many amenities including WiFi, cable TV, washer/dryer, kitchen dishes and utensils. It is equipped with everything you will need to stay for a weekend or even for a month at a time. It has clean, late model appliances including a glass top range and a dishwasher and all of the cooking utensils, cookware, dishes and glassware that you will need to fully enjoy your meals. You will want to barbecue outdoors on the gas grill and share your meals on the porch watching the sunsets and the wildlife that is all around. The cozy, comfortable couch is perfect for relaxing indoors and enjoying the T.V. and stereo or just reading a good book. The quality front loading laundry set is there for your convenience and the bathroom offers a bathtub and shower combination. The queen size bed and the double beds will accommodate four people comfortably.
You will share our private beach trail with our other guests at Hunters' Gate Homes. It is a gated, five minute hike with some large steps which are not easily navigated by small children or inexperienced hikers. Once down to the bottom you will be rewarded with a beautiful beach where the fresh creek water forms a lagoon that spills out into the salt water Strait of Juan de Fuca. You can walk and beach comb to the Dungeness Spit or head in a westerly direction toward Port Angeles.
The quaint little neighborhood store, Agnew Grocery & Feed, is only a five minute drive away, offering fresh local produce and a large selection of wine and other refreshments besides the basic grocery items. Sunny Farms Country Store is only ten minutes away where you'll find a larger variety of items including a deli and a fresh fish and meat market.
There are four restaurants all within a ten minute drive which are all highly recommended. If you want to venture further away, both Sequim and Port Angeles each only a twenty minute drive offer many more choices for shopping and dining.
The start of the road up to Hurricane Ridge and the Olympic National Park is a short twenty minute drive. You can plan longer day trips to the Pacific Ocean and the Hoh Rainforest and return after your adventure to our quiet, restful, tranquil treasure, the Madrona Leaf Lodge.

The house is very comfortable and the neighborhood is very quiet. It's close to beaches and has easy access to Olympic National Park. A great place to stay.
We had a fantastic stay, and this proved to be a great base for exploring Olympic National Park and the surrounding areas. The home was comfortable, clean, and quiet, and the on-site walking trails (especially the beach!) were a nice bonus!
The home was not modern but was cozy and comfortable and the location was great! The lookout over the promontory was magnificent so please devote the 5 minutes or whatever it takes to walk there! We loved our stay!!
This place is perfect if you are looking to get away from it all and experience the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula. Great location and extremely cozy and clean- this place had everything we needed for a few days touring the area. The beach access was also a highlight, we really enjoyed our stay.
The location was great and the mobile home was in a quiet setting, with beach access nearby (down a steep trail).
Beds were comfy and kitchen was well equipped.
Great location for birding & nature exploration. Beautiful views - when we were there the nearby eagle nest had two "branchers" - babies preparing to fledge. What a treat to get to watch them stretch their wings and practice hop-flying in place - all right from our porch!
The kitchen was very well-stocked with all of the cookware that we needed to make dinners at the unit. It was very clean. We liked the rural location that was also convenient to town and the national park. Most of our time was spent exploring Olympic National Park and this VRBO was a great home baser to do that.
Excellent location for a vacation visiting the Olympic Peninsula and Vancouver Island We really enjoyed all of the deer around the property and the easy trail to the beach.House had everything we needed. It had a well stocked kitchen, enough for a home cooked meal, including a grill.Would recommend to anyone.
Spectacular trail to the beach, which is you get to yourself for the most part as there is no foot traffic. Place to stay was great and the property manager was very accommodative
This was an ideal place for us. It was quiet, comfortable, had spectacular views, and was surrounded by wildlife: deer, bald eagles, and river otters. It was a perfect base for exploring Olympic National Park, and was only 15 minutes from downtown Port Angeles.
This is such a cute place! And the hosts are super great to work with: communicative, friendly, and hospitable. We will totally book again if we’re in the area, thank you so much!
Loved my time here with family! Property was exactly as shown in pictures. Saw so many deer everyday, they would wander around the property. The beach trail was beautiful! Make sure to look up every now and then, we were able to see a bald eagle (on the 4th of July even)! Such a nice homey experience!

We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.
Why they chose this property
We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
This particular vacation home is the least expensive on the property, and best deal around. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!
