A family holiday home, the villa is spacious, comfortable and newly refurbished. The proximity of the lakeside beach, a large garden, terrace and fabulous views make it ideal for children and adults alike. The small and friendly resort of Maubuisson, is a 5 minute walk along the promenade and has all the necessary shops and a good selection of bars and restaurants. Access to the network of cycle paths is directly in front of the house and will take you around the lake to the port of Bombannes, and through the pine forest out to the Atlantic beaches(5km). Just 10kms from the surfers paradise of Lacanau ocean and 40mins from the beautiful city of Bordeaux the area also boasts 2 golf courses and the Medoc wine growing region.

Amazing family holiday

The house is wonderfully located opposite the lake making it very easy to enjoy water sports. The house is very nicely decorated and furnished. Communication with Joanne is very smooth and efficient. We highly recommend this rental.

Perfect stay

We had a perfect time in this nice, bride and well equipped house with lake view. The owner were always accessible and very kind and friendly. We stayed with two families in the house and everybody had enough space for himself. The house is really suitable for sharing with friends. We hope to come back next year!!!

We stayed here 11 years ago and were delighted to stay there again -this time with two more grandchildren. The house is very comfortable and well appointed... just across an access road to the soft sand beach and lake. The owners are so helpful, re-acquainting us with the updated aspects of the house and gave lots of local info in addition to the leaflets etc in the house. The local village has lots of places to eat/drink and the weekly market is excellent - all accessible on foot. It was a brilliant holiday and we hope to return.

Best family holidays house

This is just the perfect family house. Waking up every morning to the lake’s view is the best way to start the day. The house is very well equipped and decorated with excellent taste. Beddings are very comfortable, mosquito nets on windows very useful and plenty of rooms for two families. Communication with the owners has been very easy and they have been very responsive to our messages. I highly recommend this rental to anyone who want to spend time relaxing with family and friends.

Très bon accueil des propriétaires.superbe maison, très bien équipée , très bien située avec une vue magnifique sur le lac , près de la plage et des commerce . Très beau séjour . Les propriétaires sont vraiment très attentionnés pour satisfaire aux besoins des locataires . Je recommande vivement cet endroit .

Wir kennen Maubuisson nun schon seit über 40 Jahren und hatten schon immer ein Auge auf dieses schöne Haus geworfen. Nun hat es endlich und mit genügend Vorlauf bei der Buchung geklappt - und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Lage ist perfekt und die Ausstattung – selbst für drei Familien – mehr als ausreichend; egal ob Badezimmer (drei!), Sitzplätze auf der Terrasse, oder der Fahrradfuhrpark. Wir kommen wieder.

Great house for family holiday

This was the best equipped holiday house we have ever stayed in. All we could possibly need. The wide range of sports, beach and garden items like bikes and paddle board were a particularly pleasant surprise. The location right on the lake beach, with a large fenced garden is just ideal for young kids.

Traumurlaub

Das Haus und die Lage sind traumhaft! Das Haus ist genauso wie beschrieben. Alles ist superschön, liebevoll eingerichtet und mit viel Komfort ausgestattet. Elektrische Rolläden, die Fenster mit hochwertigem Mückenschutz ausgstattet, Deckenventilatoren, ausreichend Geschirr, 2 große Kühlschränke , Waschmaschine ,Trockner ...einfach alles was man so braucht! Es sind Fahrräder vorhanden und jede Menge Strand- und Sportsachen(z. B. Luftmatratzen,Sonnenschirm Hängematte,Tischtennisplatte usw...) , die wir mitbenutzen durften. Außerdem war ein großer Gasgrill vorhanden, für den die Vermieter extra noch Gasflaschen zur Verfügung gestellt haben. Wir wurden von den Vermietern sehr nett empfangen und konnten recht früh morgens problemlos über einen Schlüsseltresor auschecken. Also, wir haben uns ab der 1. Minute wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen...es war ein perfekter Urlaub ! LG Ute

Wunderschöne Lage und ideal für Groß und Klein

Da ist das erste Haus in das ich wiederkehren möchte! Mit dem großen See direkt vor der Haustür und dem weiten Blick übers Wasser, die Nähe zum Atlantikstrand mit perfekten Wellen fürs Bodyboarden, den Freizeitmöglichkeiten wie Fahrradfahren, Windsurfen, Katamaran, Stand Up Padling, usw. Der See wirkt durch den schönen Sandstrand fast wie das Mittelmeer, und da es sehr lange flach hinein führt, können auch die Kleinen gefahrlos planschen. Das Haus ist liebevoll und schön eingerichtet und bietet genügend Platz. Wir waren 4 Erwachsene und 7 Kinder, das war perfekt. Die Küche läßt nichts vermissen, der Garten ist groß und lädt zum Spielen ein. Grillen und Tischtennisplatte gibt es auch. Für uns alle, die Großen und Kleinen war es ein wunderschöner Urlaub mit WOW Faktor!!

It was in a perfect location for us and was well equipped and nicely furnished

We had a great family holiday in Maubuisson and the villa is in a fantastic location next to the beach. It was a very hot week and the upstairs room with bunk beds was really hot and stuffy at night so a ceiling fan at least and a modern shutter like the other rooms would be good. The garden was great with everything you could possibly need. The area is family friendly so it was perfect for us with our children and grandchildren. I would definitely recommend it to friends

Fantastic family holiday location

We've been coming to Maubuisson for five years. An action packed location if you like to cycle, sail, surf, play tennis etc or great to lie on the beautiful beach - 50 yards from the house. The house is well proportioned for two families and has an excellent location. Lake is warm and safe to swim in for children whilst the ocean is great for surfing and body boarding. Bruce & Annabel

We are an English couple that have lived in Fance for the past 24 years. Mark is a Land Valuer and Jo is an English teacher. We havet 4 wonderful young adult children who have busy, happy lives. Our greatest joy for all of us over the last 13 years , however, has been time spent together at our holiday villa in Maubuisson.

Why they chose this property

The villas prime location provides the opportunity to enjoy breakfast on the sunny terrace looking out across the tranquil lake, make the most of all the lake facilities on your doorstep during the day and relax with a glass of wine on the quiet beach in the evening. No car trips or long walks to the beach ,it’s all just there.
The villa is comfortable, modern, family friendly and well equipped.There is plenty of living space and fresh bedding, linen and towels are provided.
There are 3 bath/shower rooms, a separate toilet, a utility room and outside storage room well stocked with outside games,ping pong table, beach furniture and toys.To the front there is a large enclosed garden with plenty of garden furniture and a gas BBQ.
To the rear there is secure parking for several cars.
It is our family holiday home, loved and cared for.

What makes this property unique

Maubuisson offers everything for a memorable holiday. Lake Carcans/Hourtin is the biggest natural lake in France. With a clean beach and safe water you can practice all water activities, sailing, windsurfing, stand up paddle, kayak , float on your lilo or just soak up the sun. Maubuisson itself has all the facilities but is not over commercialised or built up. It has a warm and friendly atmosphere and a great outdoor lifestyle attitude. It is surrounded by unspoilt pine forest , served by a great network of cycle paths and all just a five minute drive or 15 min cycle to the the magnificent Atlantique Ocean. Everyone from toddlers to grandparents will enjoy their stay - it truly is a 'little paradise'.
