Large private condominium apartment at the resort condominium complex on the beach in sunny Kihei, Maui, Hawaii. Main Bedroom with private attached bathroom. Second bedroom with two twin beds that can be made into a king bed. 2nd bathroom down the hall with shower, large living area, dining area, kitchen with breakfast bar. Large private view deck looking out towards ocean. Beach chairs, pool/beach towels, full size appliances including air conditioning and washer dryer.

Really, just hit the grocery store and you are set for the week! General Info: The Maui Sunset is located on over 5 acres of oceanfront at Kihei which is considered one of the best locations on the Valley Isle. Kihei is noted for its year-round sunshine, balmy trade winds, and soothing evening air. It is one of the driest and sunniest areas on the entire island, averaging only 10 inches a year! World famous swimming and snorkeling beaches are minutes away at one of the many sandy safe beaches at Kihei and nearby Wailea. Just a short distance (6 miles) from five championship 18-hole resort golf courses at Wailea and Makena. The two buildings frame and protect a large recreational area that is carefully attended and landscaped. The 60-foot swimming pool with its broad decks and abundance of pool furniture invites you to improve on your tan. Great place and location

We loved Maui Sunset! Amazing view and every night we watched the sunset from our beach with other renters and locals who hang out there. It was so much fun! Every morning, my sister and I walked along the water. Condo was great for me, my husband, our 2 college-age sons and my husband’s sister!

Nice Grounds and Great View

We enjoyed our stay although the condo needs some updating and TLC, hence the 4 stars. We would have liked a smart tv to watch Netflix and better bed linens. Internet was come and go. The host was very responsive so we appreciated that.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It's a well stocked 2/2 unit with beds for four in the 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the LR for two more people. ACs and fans in LR and bedrooms make the unit comfortable. Owner generously stocked extra supplies to make it a home-like place. Extra supplies included a wall-safe, two beach chairs, extra beach towels, boogie boards, ..etc. The complex has a nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi. The host Steve is very responsive and extremely helpful. Three suggestions 1) the door has a number lock but no door chain or dead-bolt. Since building/complex is not gated, theoretically anyone from the street can knock on your door. suggest adding a door chain for extra security and peace of mind; 2) I appreciated the starter kits for detergents and paper products. I didn't find any laundry detergent so I had to make an extra Safeway trip. Suggest making sure starter kids are complete or communicate what's not provided. 3) suggest add to the listing more detailed info on what is provided, for example, salt and pepper are provided, but not cooking oil. It's not a problem to get our own. Just would be helpful if the info is included in the listing. Thanks!

Good place to stay with kids

We liked being able to go swim at the pool and walk the beach and grounds in the morning. The rental unit wasn't the cleanest but fine. The pots and pans were flaking Teflon and not usable. Typically they have a pool concierge but there wasn't one the week we stayed. They didn't communicate that so we couldn't find any of the shuffle board, bocce, stand up paddle board gear they advertise until the last day.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The grounds were immaculate, room outdated. Everything worked fine, got a couple channels on the tv. Not close to anything or really anywhere to walk unless you have a car. No restaurant or any kind of place to ask or book excursions. It says they’re available at the pool, but my entire 8 days no one was there. It was rather dull and boring. However they were kind enough to let us late check out due to our late flight, for $240cad. I definitely won’t be staying here again. Not only for the outrageous price, but also it’s just not my style. I definitely will not be staying there again.
