First of all a big thank you to our landlords. Amanda and Renato are just great, always available and quickly on site when we need them. There are plenty of tomatoes, zucchini, melons, raspberries in the garden where you can take them. Everything you need is available in the house. Outside there are different places where you can stay, in the sun, in the shade as you like.
In the middle of an olive grove, an oasis of calm, relaxation, enjoyment. We had no urge to go outside at all. We're just out shopping, not otherwise. Our children didn't want to go out either. They had enough with the pool, the huge garden, watching the different types of lizards. We are all completely satisfied.
All the best
Generally well-appointed and comfortable property and ideally situated for visiting the area's main attractions, including both coasts. In particular, the outside areas and pool are very attractive and well-maintained - ideal for relaxation after driving trips!
The bedrooms are comfortable, but on the small size, with some challenging access for some! However, we know that Amanda and Renato have plans well underway to transform this.
Lack of phone and internet connectivity at the property was a serious issue for us.
We enjoyed our stay. Amanda was very communicative in the lead up to our stay. We found it easy to meet her. The keys and locks for getting in and out are a bit tricky (2 x gates and 2 x doors for entry and exit, the metal gate door on the trullo was sometimes a bit awkward).
The rooms were a tad smaller than the photos suggested, but this is a trullo and they can be a little 'hobbit-esque', it is part of the experience!
The kitchen area was lovely and my son was delighted to find a PS2, great for the afternoons when it was a bit hot and provided a little escape from the sun.
It would be good to have WiFi, we found searching for info tricky as signal was poor (we were house hunting so Internet was fairly important).
The area is nice although San Michele can be a pain, so many one-way streets! We enjoyed La Torquetta a few min drive away, lovely food in a very nice setting.
The mozzies were in full force this season and seemed to find their way in quite easy... Even 50Þet didn't deter them!
The pool was great, we used it loads. A good size and the large steps made it easy for my children to swim out and back in unaided. Comfy loungers and several parasols made it a nice area to hang out.
Overall a good stay! Thank you Amanda and Renato!
Stayed in this beautiful house for a week in August 2019. Stunning property, amazing pool, lovely location, owners really friendly and approachable. Really didn’t want to come home! Thank you.
Nachts in allen Farben beleuchtet!

Lovely holiday home!
We really enjoyed our stay as a family of four when we spend almost two weeks there. First of all we would like to thank our hosts - they were always more than friendly and welcoming, offering advise in what to do and see.
The Trullo itself is furnished with love, offering everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We all loved the big swimming pool and the nice garden. The Trullo is located a bit of a drive away from everything so you will need a car but we really enjoyed the privacy it offered.

Even better than the pictures
We've been to Italy a few times recently but this was the best holiday by a long way. The trulli is even better than it looks in the pictures - the gardens are beautiful, the pool is fantastic and the outside space is really thoughtfully laid out. There's loads of space and plenty of shade for the afternoons which get pretty hot. It felt really special - peaceful but near enough to San Michele and Ostuni, a shortish drive to some fantastic beaches and generally a wonderful place to relax. The house itself is very comfortable and the bedrooms particularly so - outside there's a great barbecue area and a garden with aubergines, courgettes, tomatoes, figs and strawberries so we didn't need to get much to have some amazing lunches. Amanda and Renato are lovely and really helpful - we'd go back tomorrow if we could!

fabulous relaxing holiday stay
fabulous trullo, fantastic pool, didnt want to go home at the end of the holiday as we had such a relaxing time, chilling, eating out and generally experiencing a little slice of Italian life. very private and quiet, whilst being easily accessible to eating out, and sightseeing.
we loved it.

Peaceful and isolated in a quaint traditional building
Well equipped and cosy. It will be perfect when the pool is finished, which the children needed in 40 degree heat! The seaside is a good 30 minute drive away, sat nav is essential

About the host
Hosted by Amanda and Renato
Amanda and Renato live and work in Puglia fulltime running a busy Studio Tecnico helping both expats and locals with their properties covering all aspects from restoration to new builds and much more.. after using the trulli as their escape hole from the outside world of working life, and to relax and enjoy time together away from it all, they have now decided to offer to share and let others experience the relaxation of this delightful hideaway.
Why they chose this property
Trulli Padalini was bought as a tumble down ruin and over a period of 3 years we spent time, and shed blood, sweat, tears and laughter while rebuilding and restoring it. We love the location secluded and very private, situated down a gated private lane away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life we can escape and relax, unwind from a busy day, share a bottle of chilled wine under the olive trees, and watch the world go by.. It has easy access to local restaurants so if we dont feel like cooking no problem, and is ionly 1km from a fantastic restaurant that specialises in seafood and local cuisine. For us it is a little slice of heaven... but hey we live here and wouldnt dream of living anywhere else.
What makes this property unique
Trulli Padalini can offer rest, relaxation, privacy, seclusion, exploration and a small sample of what paradise is. Close enough to reach the town and sights easily but hidden away in a quiet little niche away from noise, traffic and everyday hustle and bustle, relax and listen to the birds and crickets.
