Dear Kimberley, What a lovely surprise to receive your response and many thanks for it! Home away from home is exactly what we are aiming for so we are delighted that you thought of the Little House in that way. You will be pleased to hear that (touch wood!) the (high speed) internet has been functioning correctly in both houses all this year so we think the teething problems are over. We have had a number of large groups stay in both houses together both last and this year (notably at Christmas last year and a large two-week birthday party (!) this year) and the feedback we have received has been great. People like the idea of two houses they can spread themselves around in so that everyone is not stuck together in the same place all the time. so between the Main House, the Little House, the terrace and the garden there are lots of places to go for a bit of peace! And then everyone can come together in the Main House, or even in the Little House too although the table that fits 10 is in the Main House. Bonjour Elisabeth Merci beaucoup pour vos commentaires si gentils sur notre maison à Puligny Montrachet. Nous sommes ravis que vous avez trouvé les deux maisons confortables et bien équipées et que vous partagez notre goût en ce qui concerne le décor, surtout les salles de bains. Nous sommes désolés que vous avez trouvé le village sans charme, bien que tranquille. Les jours autour de Noel et Fin d'Année est assez tranquille en France, surtout dans la campagne, ou beaucoup de gens reste avec ses familles et beaucoup de commerces et activités sont fermés. Mais nous nous trouvons au milieu des magnifiques vignobles du Patrimoine Mondial qu'on peut explorer, avec des belles randonnées, des routes de vélo, beaucoup de villages pour connaître, et Beaune se trouve à quelques minutes en voiture. Nous vous avons envoyé un courriel le 4 janvier pour vous demander comment nous pourrions améliorer 10pm pour que vous nous donnions un avis plus positif, puis que nous cherchons toujours comment assurer un séjour encore meilleur pour nos hôtes. We are delighted that you found the two houses comfortable and well-equipped and that you share our taste in decoration, especially in the bathrooms. We are so sorry that you found the village charmless (although peaceful). The time running up to Christmas and up to Epiphany in France is very quiet, especially in the country, with most people staying with their families and many businesses and activities closed. But there are still the stunning vineyards of this World Heritage site to explore, many walks and cycle rides, many villages to explore, and Beaune only a short car ride away. We did email you on 4 January to ask how we could improve 10pm in a way that would evoke a more positive rating from you, as we always look for ways to provide our guests with an even better experience.
