Charming gîte in the heart of the Côte d'Or, 17th century chateau and gardens
Situated in the heart of the Côte d'Or Burgundian wine region, only 4kms away from the central village of Beaune, lies the Domaine Chandon de Briailles, a family-owned wine domaine and historical late 17th century property. Our gîte is an extension of the original buildings of the chateau, and stretching behind the property you find the gardens and park, designed by the same landscape architect as the Château de Versailles.
The gîte is equipped with a spacious living, dining and kitchen area on the ground floor, with a fireplace and small toilette. On the first floor, you find 2 bedrooms with bathroom attached, 5 beds in total.
There is a flower-lined courtyard which can be used as a parking space and dining area in summer, with a large table and umbrella.

My husband and I stayed here 4 nights. We loved it. It really made us feel like we were in France. It is a historical chateau but modernized with all the amenities you could want. The gardens were beautiful and this place was very quiet for sleeping and relaxing. We would definitely stay again.
The gîte met all our expectations and more during our month-long stay.. We appreciated the location in a “real” village with its shops, restaurants and a boulangerie. In particular, we and our dog most enjoyed our walks in the large garden adjacent to the property. The house is very well equipped and welcoming.
The gite is perfect, good outside space and gardens to use if you wish. Very clean with comfortable beds. Celine was amazing and helpful whenever we needed her.
The gite is in a lovely village with all the amenities you require and very close to Beaune and the wine region that surrounds it.
We hope to come back and stay again.

Quelle Charmant!
My family and I had the most magical, enjoyable stay at Domaine Chandon De Briailles! The gardens were spectacular and the home was beautifully decorated. Our kids especially enjoyed the private patio for hosting many picnics with pate, wine and cheese. It was the perfect way to end a day of site seeing and bike touring. We want to invite our friends to come with us next time & treat them to the wonderful treasure we found at Domaine Chandon De Briailles!

The house is well equipped in a great location. The renovation kept the orginal charm wiith modern apliances. We were disappointed that the outside light/lantern did not work and that even though it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, you have to go through one bedroom to get to the other. Even though my wife speaks French there was a bit of a language barrior.

Charming Comfortable Gite near Beaune
spent enjoyable fortnight at Chandon De Brailles gite on grounds of the Maison de Maitre. Well appointed, clean and comfortable. Hosts were helpful and were able to identify great sites and restaurants in less obvious areas nearby.Easy access to well regarded and famous vineyards.First rate restaurants in walking distance and easy access to historic sites.Beaune is close by with historic buildings and good food.
Car is advisable. Best to approach the french manufacturers who do good deals for 17 days plus rental.
This is the heart of Burgundy and will suit wine lovers and those who have an interest in good dining and historic sites.Try the historic sites routes to the west of Beaune, towards Autun. These castles are off the track and are readily accessible.
Off- street parking available but smaller car like C4 Citroen advised.
This is a recommended gite.

Fabulous gite, very spacious, quite and idyllic location!
My wife and I and our two children had a wonderful 2 night stay in this beautiful gite. The gite is very spacious and set over two floors, and as a family of four it was a huge space, and finished to a very high standard throughout! Celine was very accommodating and we were even treated to milk, water and butter waiting for us in the fridge which was a lovely touch as we had driven all the way up from Italy.
There is also a wine fridge which was stocked with wine from the chateau's own vineyard - perfectly chilled - which was also a really nice touch....and the wine is excellent! The gardens are lovely and peaceful and the chateau is located in a lovely quiet area - our children loved exploring the huge grounds! The village is a 5 min walk away along very quiet roads and Beaune is a 10 min drive away, both are lovely to wander around.
All in all it was a perfect couple of days to end our holiday, we can't recommend the gite highly enough and we look forward to visiting again! Thank you Celine!

Quelques jours en famille pour profiter du confort du Gîte et de la beauté des villes de Beaune et de Dijon.
Nous avons apprécié la gastronomie de la région.
This is what it feels like to live in France and be comfortable in a home that you’re renting. For adults we’re very comfortable. They had a washer and dryer. They had two full bathrooms plus a toilet downstairs all the amenities that you would need to stay as long as you like the gardens were beautiful. The house was lovely and Celine was so pleasant to deal with. I would come back here in a minute, the village itself was very walkable. We all enjoyed our stay very very much.
To a stay in the most wonderful wine country in France. The gite was beautifully located near a working Wine Domaine. Would definetely recommend it for any occasion.
We were very surprised at how beautiful this property is. The pictures are great but the place is even better in person!
Checking in and out was 'ok'. No one actually greeted us to help us understand anything about the property; no one mentioned anything about any check out procedures. There is no microwave oven in the facility, which is a problem.
Again, the property and surrounding area is gorgeous, charming!
Special experience to stay on the grounds of a wine chateau that has been in the same family for nearly two centuries. Clean, comfortable house with a lovely garden in a charming village in the heart of the Cote de Beaune vineyards, through which there are great bike trails. Only 10 minutes to Beaune. Property manager Celine and owner were friendly, responsive, and generous. And there's the well-stocked wine fridge.
Owners where helpful on cancelling and initially giving a stay credit 2 day before the start of the stay. The subsequent lockdown in France then resulted in them submitting a full refund to VRBO as per VRBO recommendations. Will try to stay here when this Pandemic is over.
