Nice place, lovely country and people

Big, spacious, quiet but quite close to most ameneties, minicab service meant no need to hire a car. due to the exceptionally hot weather the pool was a life saver! A good base from which to explore the island or just relax round the pool. A very enjoyable holiday.

When renting a house for 9 persons there should be more diningchairs.

The sleeping room in the basement with 5 beds has no daylight. In Denmark this room is illegal to be used as sleepingroom. Jane chairs extra chairs for outside use.

Disaster

We were there with family and grandchildren so we hoped for family meals at the Villa as well as visiting surrounding area. Unfortunately we could not use the dishwasher as it was rusted and dirty inside, only managed to use washing machine 3 times as we gave up due to electricity going off to be tripped each time. The oven temperature control did not work apart from full on which burnt everything. We had to contact them as shower had to be sorted (it was also very dirty) There was no cleaning products except dishwashing tablet which were of no use anyway, so we had to buy our own. After using the toilet roll they left we had to buy our own, we did complain and was handed more black bags for rubbish only. There was no useful information left re places to visit of interest or phone numbers for taxi’s or any other emergency contacts. They described the indoor pool as having a jacuzzi (this did not work) and was very cold. Some furniture was either broken or unusable and was not how the photographs and description of the online website displayed it. The general condition of the furniture and fittings was of a poor standard, and the sheets and towels also. This was all very disappointing for the price we paid. We would NOT recommend booking the Villa to anyone.

Dear Guest, I understand that you have encountered some inconsistencies during your stay, i apologise, but it was not all as you described. The electricity tripping was caused by the washing machine which was sorted instantly. the dishwasher had been for long ordered and we were awating a new one over. the oven was working well as the technical team tried it after your stay. Toilet Rolls were enough and provided on arrival and basic cleaning products were also handy under kitchen sink. the shower was not dirty as you described but you grabbed our attention, water coming out for the pipe and we rectified immediatly in changing it. We were available at all times during your stay as we have reception on site. I can assure future guests that Dishwasher is now fully new and changed including a new washing machine to top it up. all other items still provided on arrival. thanks Management Team

Misleading advertisement

Was looking forward to our first family holiday with our children and grandchildren to celebrate a member of the families "big" birthday and was very disappointed on our arrival. On the website the villa was advertised as a "villa" but realistically it was four houses attached to each other with flats below!! The villa stated it was child friendly and a childs cot was there - no high chair, no safety gate. There was no mention of the house being over 5 floors. Ground floor being living/kitchen area (sheet glass window into court yard, no safety tape or any writing on it, only when you're up close do you realise there is glass there) and shower room, 1st floor- 3 bedrooms, 1 ensuite and family bathroom, top floor - 1 bedroom with "en suite shower cubicle ", level -1 had some childrens table sets and playhouse with further bedroom with 5 single beds and level -2, pool table, table tennis, air hockey table. The stairs from the pavement to the front door are very narrow and awkward to manoeuvre any prams and there are no safety features or guards around the pool. The property is very tired and in great need of redecoration and new furniture. The leather on the sof was split and the stuffing showing through, the zips on the cushions which should have been attached to the sofa were broken and thry didnt fit. There were no matress protectors on the beds and the bedsheets on the top floor had holes in them. I could go on but there aren't enough characters left!

Villa de qualité

On était 4 jeunes en vacances en mai pour s’amuser , la villa est vraiment grande et spacieuse , la salle de jeu avec billard baby-foot ping pong est privatif à la villa ! Pour des soirées c’est parfait, la proximité avec un grand supermarché est présente ( 15 min à pied ) pas de problème de voisinage, seul bémole , le four le lave vaisselle fonctionne mais on a eu du mal à les mettre en marche, et au début du séjour on avait pas d’eau chaude mais j’ai juste demander et dans la journée le problème était réglé, dans la globalité vraiment bien , et convient à un gros groupe , le soleil tape sur la piscine terrasse de 11h jusqu’à la fin de la journée ce qui est très bien ,

Agréable séjour

La villa ressemble très fort au photos, nous n'avons pas eu de mauvaises surprises. Elle est bien située ( proche d'un supermarché et non loin du centre et de la plage...). Les chambres sont spacieuses, bien décorées et les espaces de jeux sont très grands. De plus, Jane était toujours disponible pour nous aider ou nous conseiller les excursions incontournables de Malte. Nous espérons revenir un jour à la villa Sunnyside !

Déception

Certains équipements précisés dans l’annonce sont payants notamment la climatisation et la wifi! Pas assez de serviettes de bain et de parure de draps! L’eau chaude marche une fois sur deux! La piscine et le jacuzzi intérieure sont en dehors de la villa dans des parties communes et ferme à 18h. Le four marche avec une pince à linge, le lave vaisselle est moisi et accompagné d’une odeur nauséabonde. La maison est jolie et conviviale heureusement!

De villa was schoon toen we aankwamen. Dat was al erg fijn. Daarnaast werden onze vragen tijdens het verblijf heel erg snel beantwoord. Via de gastvrouw hebben wij onze boottrip geregeld, die was super. Met de taxi was het uitgaanscentrum heel goed bereikbaar en niet duur. Taxiritje kostte gemiddeld 7 euro voor 4 personen. Ook de supermarkt is op loopafstand. Al met al een prima villa en we komen er graag nog een keer terug.

Super nice and helpful hosts!

We were 15 girls who stayed 7 days at Villa Sunnyside for their Graduation Journey. All of us were more than just happy with our stay there. All the electronics, the showers, and the kitchen are very well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped, but the essentials, like salt, sugar, pepper etc. are not there. On the pictures, the interior looks a bit newer than it really is, especially the deck-chairs and the beds on the lowest floor. But you never feel uncomfortable in the house. The pool is great and there is a pool guy who came to clean the pool in the middle of the week. The hosts are really great people. Jane always organized the transfers we needed very reliably and they always arrived on time, even some minutes early. She always responded to all the questions we had very quickly. The villa is very well located, only 8 minutes by foot to the next supermarket, 3 minutes to the next bus station (Malta is a great place to travel by bus), 20 minutes into Paceville (the nightlife center of St.Julians) by foot and 5 minutes by bus or ecab, to Sliema it takes about 20-25 min by bus. We loved our time at Sunnyside. Dear Jane and dear David, thank you for making our stay unforgettable!

Malta wedding

We were a party of ten people staying in Malta for our son and future daughter in law’s wedding. We all thoroughly enjoyed staying at Villa Sunnyside, it had everything we needed and more. Jane was very helpful, we only had to contact her once when the WiFi went off and she had arranged for someone to come to the villa within half an hour. We would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to family and friends. Thank you Jane and David we had a great time.

Beautiful place!

I stayed here with 9 of my friends last week and we loved the place. The house is huge with 4 floors, lovely and clean, right next to the coastal road so its pretty easy to get everywhere round the island, me and my friends love that itvwas minutes away from the strip with loads of bars to keep us entertained in the evenings. Janes was amazing at making sure we were well attended sorting us out quad bike hire and excursions. Highly recommend this place

Mooi, ruim, goede service!!

Wij hebben hier een superweek gehad met 6 man, de villa was tip top in orde, heel erg ruim en mooi ingedeeld met een bruikbare keuken. Wij hadden een hele goede band met onze hostess Jane, alles kon worden geregeld via de villa en je krijgt vooraf een hele hoop informatie over het eiland en de uitgaansgelegenheden. Villa Sunnyside is een aanrader voor jong en oud!

mooi huis, de schoonmaakster mag wel wat kritischer naar haar werk kijken.

Het huis is ruim en voorzien van meerdere ontspanningsruimtes. het huis was niet echt schoon en de service voor wat de handdoeken betreft ag wel wat duidelijker.Tijdens ons verblijf was het fris ( 15 graden ) en dan is het in huis ook fris. hiervoor kan je de airco aanzetten die het huis verwarmd. kost € 50,-- en hiermee doe je ongeveer 3 dagen.

Spacious Villa with Friendly, Attentive Host

Some bits were not quite as expected - the main picture shows a gas bbq which has now been replaced by a charcoal chimnea for example, but Jane the owner was very attentive and keen to help us enjoy our break in Malta. And she even supplied brand new bbq tools so we could enjoy that. It was slightly odd that there were no food basics (like salt and pepper or cooking oil) in the kitchen - it seems every party has to start from scratch. The location was great - close to a superb supermarket and easy for the bus routes. Less ideal for the less mobile (it's on a hill) but nicely out of the busyness of the main towns and great for accessing the north of the island.

Ideal for groups, great position

I stayed in the villa with a group of 14 people, it was a nice stay altough I suggest to book this house for not more than 9 people, 5 of us had to stay in the room in the underground floor without a window. The villa is perfectly described by the photos and by the descriptions. The host, Jane, was very nice and was always there for every problem. One only flaw: with the available kitchen tools it was impossible to cook for more than 4 people and we had many problems cooking for 14,. The best characteristic of the house was the position: the bus stop next to the house allowed to move through the whole island without any problem and the house is halfway all the interesting sites of the island. It was also possible to reach Paceville by foot and going back with a taxi with €3! We had a great time in Malta also thank to this beautiful villa!

An amazing holiday

I can have no complaints with any aspect of the villa whatsoever the place was clean, the villa looks even better in person than in the photos and everything was taken care of. Any problems were sorted out extremely quickly and even though there was 14 of us and the villa says it can have 12 comfortably 2 extra beds were put in so that everyone had somewhere to sleep. The surrounding area was nice and was very close to a supermarket making getting food and drink very easy. I would definetely recommend coming to this villa as we had a great time.

Nette, ruime villa voor een groot gezelschap.

We zijn erg positief met dit verblijf. De villa is schoon en de service is bijna 24/7. We hoeven Jane maar een whatsapp bericht te sturen en we krijgen bijna altijd direct bericht en ons verzoek wordt geholpen. Echt top! De locatie is erg centraal, en met de auto kunnen we binnen een half uur eigenlijk bijna overal naar toe. Het enige wat ik graag wil meegeven, is als er iets van zachte elementen in het huis zal zijn (bijv. vloerbedekking of gordijnen) het geluid in het huis zal dempen. We waren met een volhuis, gesprekken op de begane grond zijn goed te volgen op de andere verdiepingen. Maar verder zijn we erg onder de indruk van deze accommodatie.

Great spot!

We stayed at Villa Sunnyside as a group of 11 ladies in May 2018. 4 of the bedrooms are located upstairs with the 5th being a dormitory style room in the basement. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked a few meals at the villa. The pool area was by far our favourite part of the villa, perfect for sunbathing and a dip and with a shady area with a table for a break from the sun. We didn’t use the indoor pool as we had beautiful weather for the duration of our stay. Throughout the booking, David was extremely responsive, and during our stay Jane was fantastic, always available and responding quickly on WhatsApp. The location of the villa is good for moving around Malta, being a larger group we ended up using a company called eCabs to get around, who had mini buses just a phone call away. Just a note that WiFi is charged extra which is a shame, and the check out was earlier than expected at 9:30am, however we were able to leave our bags securely locked away for the day of the check out.
