Dodd House -Pool & Hot Tub, pet friendly, stay with family and friends in style!


ARRIVE, STOCK UP, AND NEVER LEAVE IF YOU CHOOSE! GET YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TOGETHER SAFELY!

This large 4,500 square foot rental unit includes 5 private BR, 3.5 BTH, and sleeps 18!

The first floor has a large kids’ bunk room with a queen sleeper, twin bunk beds, and a queen bed. This spacious sleep area and den includes a full bathroom.

The second floor has three private bedrooms with two full baths. A primary bedroom with a king, a second bedroom with a queen/twin bunk bed and a twin, and a third bedroom with two twins and two trundles. There is also a private, cozy loft up a spiral staircase with a queen bed and twin futon. This home comfortably sleeps up to 18 people, air mattresses are welcome.

The owners live in a semi-detached unit next door.

There are NO shared spaces. You have 100% privacy, including the pool/hot tub area and outside deck/ bar area. Insta-hot hot water heaters so you never run out of hot water. Outdoor private hot/cold shower.

Large outdoor PRIVATE (to the main property) pool (open May 15 to Sept 30), hot tub (open all year) and entertainment area.

*No loud music due to proximity of neighbors. NOISE ORDINANCE IN EFFECT FROM 11PM-8AM. Noise levels can not exceed conversation level due to proximity of neighbors.

*Dogs are not allowed in the pool at anytime.

Free WiFi, Cable, 2 large flat screen TVs. Close proximity to both Dewey and Rehoboth. There is parking for a maximum of 8 cars in the driveway. Fire pit and outdoor grill. Firewood is provided to guests. A bath towel per person is included with the linens. Please bring your own beach towels.

Jolly Trolley stop two blocks away.

Note: We do not rent to persons under 25. Please be considerate of the neighbors with regards to noise and parking at all times.

Check in at 3pm and Check out is promptly at 10am. It is a large home and our housekeeper needs the time to turn over the property. Thank you!

A code will be texted to you before check-in for easy access to the home upon arrival.

The pool is open from May 15th through September 30th. Please empty skimmer daily of debris and maintain water level half way up the skimmer box. Use the hose for water for the pool using the outside hose connection. Please disconnect after use if you stay between Nov 1 and April 1.

Linens: There will be a laundry bag of clean linens and towels for each bedroom and sleeping area. There will be a laundry bag for you to place dirty linens in at the end of your stay. If used linens are not placed in the bag there will be an additional $35 charge per room.

Light switches for patio floods are located as follows:
1. In master suite next to door leading out to deck.
2. By door off of first floor den/bunk room
3. By door leading out to porch in kitchen.

** Any unapproved large gatherings or events or the use of non authorized outside vendors (Caterers, DJ's,etc.), or parking violations that cause complaints from the neighbors, will result in the immediate termination of your stay (eviction) and forfeiture of your security deposit. Please be honest with us. If we find you hosted and event without letting us know, you will forfeit your security deposit.

This was the perfect house for a bachelorette weekend! The house was very clean and comfortable and the location couldn’t have been better in terms of it being walkable to the beach and Dewey Beach bars. Lynn was very communicative regarding questions we had about the house and made us feel welcome. Highly recommend!

Family Beach Get-together

The Dodd House was everything we were hoping for. Perfect sleeping arrangements, resort style pool and easy access to Dewey beach. It was a great gathering place for family from different states to come together. All of the amenities in the listing did not disappoint!

This stay was EXACTLY what we had hoped for with our large family vacation! Both Lynn and Brian were fantastic hosts - they gave us a quick orientation at check-in, then left us to our own fun for the entire week (except when we called for assistance). The beach was incredibly walkable, as well as the business area of Dewey. Rehoboth was still only 2 miles away, and many of our family members took advantage of this to enjoy the more "boardwalk-y" experiences there. Most of our family agreed that this was the best beach vacation they had ever had - they enjoyed the ability to easily cook large meals, the convenience of the pool and hot-tub, the privacy of the upstairs rooms, and even some Covid sufferers appreciated the enclosed separate living room/bedroom so they could isolate when needed. If I ever get this many people together again (17 total), Dodd House is at the top of our list for another beach vacation!

Perfect Getaway

Wonderful option for our family

This property was perfect for our family. It is a beautiful home! We particularly enjoyed the private pool and hot tub. Location is perfect for beaches, shopping and restaurants. Brian and Lynn were excellent hosts, providing all information in a timely manner. We hope to make a return trip!

We had such a great time at Dodd House! We stayed there for a long weekend for our wedding. Our group of 6 couples had plenty of space. Brian and Lynn were fantastic hosts and so friendly. The house was super clean, in a great location and just overall a very fun place. Would absolutely stay again and recommend for groups of friends or families!

Brian & Lynn were awesome hosts. They responded quickly and were friendly and accommodating before and during the trip. The house had tons of room and was very clean upon check-in. The walk to the main area of Dewey was only about 10 minutes - great location. Would recommend for any large group.

Great long weekend!

Stayed at Brian's place for my sister's bachelorette party. Everyone had a fantastic time and had great things to say about the space. The backyard was perfect for pool days and outdoor dinners. The kitchen and living room were good hang out areas, and there were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was clean and comfortable. I'd recommend Brian's place for any large group!

Wedding Weekend

The house was perfect for a big family get together. The owners made us feel very welcomed. They were very accommodating, especially since we were in and out a lot with wedding festivities. Delaware Shore Family Vacation

Great choice for our extended family vacation. Between beach, shopping, DE bay cruise, boardwalk, water sports and more, we all had a great time. Plenty of room for our kids and grandkids. Pool and hot tub got a lot of use. Fully fenced in pool area and grass side yard made it easy to take our two dogs. Lynn and Brian were welcoming and attentive hosts.

Amazing stay!

Can not say enough great things about this house/hosts! Upon arrival the hosts showed us around to ensure we had everything needed for our stay. They even were up every morning to fill up the pool for us which was so appreciated. We had a group of 17 and the house had plenty of room for all of us. The outdoor space in particular was our favorite and we spent most of our time by the pool. The parking situation was great and we didn’t have to worry about finding parking nearby. The house is in a great location to the beach and main strip. Overall can’t recommend this house enough!

Book The Dodd House ASAP!!!

I held my bachelorette weekend at the Dodd House and it was an unforgettable weekend! The owners of the Dodd house are so kind and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had around 15 girls stay at the house and there was more than enough room for everyone. The house is in a great location, very close to bars, restaurants, and the beach. We loved our stay and will hopefully be rebooking with them in the future!

Perfect for us

My family, a group of 12 of us ranging in age from 1-75, all had a great time at the Dodd house. The location was perfect and quiet. Everyone enjoyed the pool and backyard. There was plenty of space for everyone throughout the house. The only hiccup was we were unable to unlock the door when we arrived, but the host responded immediately and let us in. Overall we all had a wonderful week at this property and made some great memories. Thank you.

Great bachelorette and friend vacation house!

Our group of 17 arrived at the Dodd house and were immediately greeted by Lynn and Dewey the cat, which was perfect. The house was spacious and easily slept our group. The layout allows for privacy when needed but also a wide open area for group time - especially the back yard bar & pool. We even hired a hibachi chef to perform in the back yard and it was perfect (host recommendation). Parking in Dewey can be difficult but Brian and Lynn kept an eye out for us & even helped us find overflow parking when needed. I admit I was a bit cautious when I read the owners live next door - but we never felt "watched" and they let us have our privacy. Check out instructions were typical and very reasonable. The location was easily walkable to the main attractions (incl. Starboard).

Fabulous, well-appointed property, great host!

We had a group of four families, 17 people in all, with 10 kids ranging in age from 2-13. This house was perfect for us. Everything in the house was clean, new, and well-maintained. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. We took advantage of the fire pit and the grill. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed in terms of cookware, spices, and coffee. There was even a margarita machine! The hosts live in a house attached to the property, and were exceptionally responsive to all our questions about how to turn on lights, operate the outdoor shower, etc. However, they were un-obtrusive and never interfered. Communications with the host were fast and responsive. In short, we loved this property and would absolutely come back again!

Amazing place!!!! This home had everything my family needed or thought about having.

Dodd House was perfect for my family and I. We had plenty of space for all 21 of us, not just moving around space but beds as well. The house is well maintained and had everything we needed. It had everything, from the heated pool, and hot tub, grill on the back, to the amenities that you would find at some hotels. Brian the owner was amazing, he was very responsive, and made the booking process from beginning to end extremely easy. Brian made his family home feel, like ours. I would recommend this for any large group wanting a great place to stay that is comfortable, clean, accommodating, and convenient. We were only blocks for Dewey Beach, which was awesome, and a great little farmers markets for last minute pick ups, like milk and eggs or even fresh fruit and vegetables. We also walked down to where all of the local nightlife is and had great food, and drinks, and dance. We had plenty of parking. This place had it all!!!

21066 Dodd Avenue is a family home going back three generations and we take great pride in its maintenance and care. We are local to Delaware and have strong ties to the beach area.

Why they chose this property

Suitable for multiple families and working professionals. This property is perfect for vacations, yoga/business retreats, as well as housing sports teams for out of town tournaments. The heated pool and hot tub provide protection for not so great weather weeks. The back patio area is resort-like and was made for entertaining. Each bedroom has a TV and with three living rooms, there is plenty of room for everyone to spread out. With walking distances to beach, trolley and restaurants, and parking for eight, there is nothing that can compare in this price range.

With parking for 6-8 cars, the private pool/hot tub/fire pit area, and our walking distance the beach, you are guaranteed an awesome vacation and plenty of room for your group to hang out and enjoy the area.
