My family and I throuhougly enjoyed our stay at the Sussex House in Rehoboth! There were 14 of us and this house provided plenty of room - no one felt cramped or overcrowded. The beds were comfy and the set up of the house was perfect for our group. The walk to the beach, boardwalk, and restaurants was nice and easy. Stephanie was also very responsive and helpful. Overall a wonderful experience!
Very good central location, 2 blocks to beach and easy walk to restaurants and shopping. We didn’t need to move our cars all week! More than enough room for our adult children and their spouses. Host was excellent!
I highly recommend this house.
Best features: Sunroom/enclosed porch; spacious separate dining room; plenty of bathrooms; several parking passes included; two of the bedrooms are on main level.
Know before you go: bring bedsheets and bath towels.
The stay was great. The house had everything we needed for a long weekend get away. Stephanie is super responsive and very helpful through the entirety of planning. You'll need to provide your own linens, which was fine. The furniture is quaint, reminds me of grandma's house. Otherwise the location is walkable to EVERYTHING which was fantastic.
Great family space, quick walk to beach and shops. Had 8 adults and 6 grand kids, ages 2 thru 15, house accommodated all comfortably. House stocked with everyday needs, no unexpected issues. Pleasant and safe area for early morning and late evening walks. Parking was on street but no issues finding spots within couple hundred feet of house. Enclosed porch great place for all to gather. Excellent communication with property manager.
This was a wonderful property with great amenities. It was extremely well stocked. Kitchen has everything you need. We were very impressed with the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and great places to gather. The sun porch is a very comfortable gathering area. The out door shower made cleanup after a day at the beach very convenient. The property manager's communication was superb - very professional, polite and quick to respond to any and all questions. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this for a family who wants to enjoy the area and the beach!
This house was a perfect fit for the people we had staying. We had 12 adults and 1 child. The proximity to the beach was only 2 blocks. Easy walk. Also a short walk to eateries as well. Stephanie was very easy to work with. She was always just a text away. The dining room fit all of us for dinner and the kitchen had lots of space also. The cupboards were filled with most all spices that you would need. The grill worked fine. I would definitley stay here again with a large group. Very accomodating. We spent a lot of our time on the front porch. The living room is right next the front porch. Very clean and the outside shower came in handy as well. The bedrooms were very nice. We slept downstairs due to we are up early. We let the younger people sleep upstairs. If I could give this place a 10 star rating I would. Great place!! Can't wait to go back. Thank you Stephanie!!

Great house for a beach stay - especially for large groups
My extended family and I recently stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The location of the house is great - only a short walk to the boardwalk or to the restaurants and shops on both Wilmington and Rehoboth Avenues. Street parking was never a problem which was great since my dad is 92 and we needed to get him around by car at times. Since this place is set up like a bed and breakfast, each room is named , has it's own temperature control, has a queen bed and a few of the rooms even have their own bathrooms - perfect. I stayed in the Greystoke Room and it had a lovely deck outside that I enjoyed hanging out on. The enclosed porch on the main floor was a great spot for everyone to have their morning coffee and figure out the activities for the day. Stephanie was a great host - we didn't need to contact her much but communication with her was always fast and easy whenever I had a question or if we needed anything. Some may think it's not as new or modern as other nearby houses but that didn't make a difference to us at all. We all agreed we would love to stay here again in the future!

Thank you so much for all of your kind words. Please come back anytime. Best regards. Stephanie
This was a fantastic place for a quick getaway with a group of friends and their kids. We were a group of 7 adults and 3 toddlers/young kids. The house was very spacious and perfect for our needs. Incredibly well-stocked kitchen. There are so many bathrooms that there's never any waiting or battling for a shower. It's very kid-friendly in terms of items in the house: they have a mini kids table, lots of toddler dishes/utensils, and a few toys. The sun porch is a great place for everyone to hang out, eat, play, etc. Some décor is a bit dated/worn, but who cares--it's clean, functional, and comfortable.
Location was perfect: a short walk to the beach, boardwalk, Funland, and everything you need. We parked our cars when we arrived and didn't use them the whole time.
Host was friendly and communicative -- couldn't ask for more.
Know before you go: there are 3 keys and 4 parking passes--keep this in mind if you have a large group. Bring your own linens (as the listing states). Some rooms don't have blackout curtains/blinds--if you have little kids who still nap, might want to BYO stick-on ones. Two bedrooms are on the main floor.
We will definitely consider staying here again next year!
We had a delightful stay in this well-appointed house. I have never stayed in a rental house with such a wide variety of high-quality kitchenware before! The rooms were very comfortable with cozy furniture and plenty of outlets and charging ports, there was plenty of space to eat in the dining room, and checkin was very smooth. The porch is not heated, so we didn't make much use of it this December trip, but it would be perfect in summer. The location is fantastic: two long blocks from the beach and boardwalk, a 5-minute walk to a playground for the kids, and perhaps a 10-minute walk to the downtown area with shops and restaurants. The hosts even kindly shipped us a few forgotten items afterward.
The house was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed, minus the bedding (as stated in the description). We loved that there was a bathroom for every couple and we can walk to everything.
The house was great. Clean and had a fully stocked kitchen, which it had everything you need to cook with, pots, pans, utensils and it had hot pads and dish towels. It had everything on our list for a stay at the beach. We will definitely rent this location again. The property manager is wonderful. She answered all texts/questions in a timely manner.
With two second-floor decks, an enclosed porch, a living room and dining room everyone had a place to congregate - or be alone if they chose. This made the vacation very pleasant, with no feel of being crowded. The enclosed porch was a great place for morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Bedroom layout was nice, and having five bathrooms was a big plus. Kitchen appliances were excellent, abundant plates, glasses and utensils. Furniture was fine.
TVs were adequate, although one bedroom had a TV & VHS player that were incompatible. Only the kids had an interest in watching movies, so the TV and DVD player in the living room fit the bill.
Provision of parking passes made getting around no problem, much better than assigned parking spaces - although the location was close enough to everything that we seldom drove.
Lighting could be improved a bit by replacing incandescent / CFLs with LED bulbs.
Plastic bags on mattresses were off-putting, taking some getting use to.
Good selection of books, DVDs, VHS tapes, toys. The small soft side coolers and beach gear were a nice surprise, filled in the blanks where we had forgotten things.
Check-in and check-out couldn’t have been easier. Stephanie responded to all our questions very quickly.
Overall, a great place for our family vacation, adding to the pleasure and enjoyment for everyone, kids and adults. Completely satisfied, would rent this property again if we plan a family vacation in the future.
Check in and check out was great. Property manager responded quickly to questions. A lot of kitchen supplies for cooking if needed. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving dinner. All for my mom.
