Thank you for your interest in renting our house (we call it camp). We think it is paradise. The camp has been in our family since 1951 when my husband's grandfather bought it. He has been to camp every year of his life. It is a very special place. The camp is 50 feet from Lake Ontario, and Cranberry Pond is on the other side. You will be able to swim and watch sunsets in your front yard, sunrises from the backyard.
Details:
The camp has 3 bedrooms, one bathroom (shower, no tub), kitchen, living/dining room and enclosed front sun room. One bedroom has a queen bed, work desk and sitting area, one has a full bed, and the other has two single beds. Additionally, there is a futon that sleeps 1 and a daybed. There is potable water in the kitchen and bathroom sink. The rest of the house water is from a well. There is an oven, microwave, toaster, skillet, blender, dishes, utensils, serving platters, washer/dryer, etc. There is a gas grill outside and an outdoor fireplace (build by grandpa), picnic table, etc. There is also a TV and DVD player (the TV does not get any channels; you can bring a streaming device). Lake Ontario is the front yard, usually pretty shallow for some distance before getting deeper. There are a few other beaches a short walk away and all accessible to Montario Pt. residents and guests. Camp is just south of Southwick Beach State Park, and 45 min. N of Syracuse.

Location on the water is awesome. Camp was bigger than we expected when we walked in! Fit our party of 7 beautifully! Nice open layout, nice quality camp, well maintained and you can tell this family has enjoyed a lot of fun times here. Love all their fishing decor and family pics around. We built some great memories with our daughter, husband and grandchildren. Everyday we enjoyed the water whether it was calm or wavy. Neighbors are friendly and no matter what window you look out its beautiful! Bring your food, clothes, and personal hygiene items and you'll be good to go! One of our favorites on the east side of Lake Ontario is the sunsets, gorgeous and different every night!
This was our second trip to Montario Point. Our family loved it. The lake is just steps away from the cottage. We enjoyed the swimming, sunsets and star gazing. We were even able to spot the Neowise comet. The neighborhood is quiet and the neighbors friendly but not intrusive. We enjoyed sweet corn fresh from the field in Belleville. A wonderful meal at Ryan’s Lookout and ice cream at the Trolley. A perfect relaxing vacation.

Excellent Family Vacation Spot!
This is the best family vacation spot we've encountered in many years! We are so grateful to Sarah and Don for making their beachfront home available to us on such short notice! Every family member, ages 2 to 78, thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We fished, went swimming, enjoyed great campfires, and traveled to nearby Henderson and Sackett's Harbor. The cottage was clean, comfortable and spacious for all 9 of us. We hope to return next year! Thanks again to Sarah and Don for helping to make our July 4th Holiday great fun! Pat Warshel&Family

September sunsets
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week here in September. It's a very
peaceful and quiet location, almost at the end of the road. If you are
looking for stunning sunsets on the lake this is the place! We also enjoyed
watching the full moon rise over the pond on the other side of the property.
Saw plenty of birds and butterflies - be sure to bring your camera and
binoculars. The camp is on a small rise above the lake so you have to walk
down a couple large boulder "steps" to go swimming, but it's not too
difficult. The water is shallow with a nice sandy bottom and was very clear
while we were there. Having WiFi was a nice bonus. This place is equipped
with just about everything you could need. It's also full of charm and
family history and was a great place to get away to.

Ecellent Lake vacation !
We have gone up to Lake Ontario for years. Our normal vacation place was no longer available so we tried VBRO and truly lucked out finding this place. The 3 grandkids were in the Lake several times a day! The Lake was pretty calm the first few days then the big waves came and they were in heaven. There was plenty of room inside and out for all of us. The oldest grandson loved that it had WiFi. I was thrilled that it had a washer and dryer. The porch area was large enough for everyone but we did have to put up a towel on one of the windows as the sun was so bright.
The biggest bedroom was great it had 2 large windows with 2 chairs that you could relax in with a view of the Lake. We will definitely be back
