Mary and her group are very nice to be our customers even with our shower issues, they are very helpful to let us deal with it, thank you for being patient!
It was comfortable enough but could use some updates. The one-cup coffee maker works if you weigh down the lid. It could be cleaner, and I was a little disturbed by the food in the cabinet, some open. Also in the freezer. The cutting boards on the counter had bugs on them. The Lanai is really a screened in porch. But it was convenient and comfortable for the price and time we spent there.

Vacation Rental in SE Cape Coral
We actually used the home as a "landing spot" instead of a vacation rental. We moved to the Cape from the Keys, and needed a place to stay until we could close on the home that we bought here. The rental house was perfect for us! Less than 15 minutes from our new house - so we could go over and check on things (we had some remodeling done after we closed), and the rental house is close to everything! Shopping, restaurants, etc. The open floor plan is really nice, and our little Yorkie LOVED playing on the screened porch in the back! :)

Needs major updating
Location and communication with owner was great. House needs major cleaning and update. Had to hose down lanai and furniture before we could sit on it. Can opener didn’t work, only clock in house didn’t work in spite of changing battery, dishwasher hose is split and runs all over floor when it’s used which ruined paper towels and dishwasher pods we bought, none of the old furniture in the house matched and was as cheap as possible (tv trays for end tables, etc, original 1980 (at least) oven, black droppings in drawers (geckos?), no crockpot, dish cloths, towels or baking pans. Kitchen could use a total going over and getting rid of excess unneeded dishes and updating with items that are needed. Virtually no thought given to decorating or making the place feel homey. Would not stay here again.

* Replaced and fixed the dishwasher's broken drain hose.
* Pressure washed lanai, front, and back porches.
* Threw away not working battery clock and can opener.
* Bought a new sofa cover for color matching with other living room furniture.

The only thing we would say is the furniture could use updating living room set is not very comfortable, for a week it would be okay but we stayed for the month

Cape Coral Rental
the location of this rental was very convenient. Mattresses were comfortable. We used the screened in lanai every day. The house could use a deep cleaning, more comfortable living room furniture, a patio set, grill and more towels and washcloths. The front entry needed power washing and the door could of use a paint job to freshen it up.

Thank you for your compliments about location, mattresses and lanai room. A new four season porch furniture set is added, the same as towels and washcloths. We are working on more improvements and we are welcome more communications on the spot to make a happy stay for you! As far as the grill, we are working on the safety concern because we had guests left burning charcoals and causes the neighbor's complaints.

Responsive and accommodating owners
Ok, so first and foremost, our family stayed in the property for most of the summer while we looked for a home of our own so we spent 3 months living here. The rental property has basic amenities for both short and medium length stays - 2 bedroom/2bath home. The owners allowed pets, which was the biggest reason we chose this property. The price was the second reason. Owners have put 3 different size beds so can easily sleep 5, if needed. The owners were very accommodating to our requests throughout our stay so this would be reason #3 to choose this property. The place is not a 4 or 5-star hotel but has the basics - TV, dining room table for 4, couch, etc. Internet or full cable would be nice but we don't watch too much TV in the first place anyway. The property is located not far from downtown which is a plus since there's really 2-3 main roads with restaurants in town - Cape Coral Blvd, Del Prado Blvd and Pine Island, sure there are others small businesses but the main ones are on the first two streets named. If you're in town visiting, you probably just need a place to sleep when you're not on the water/canal and the basic, no-frills of the place will work out perfectly. So for knowing what you're getting into, it lives up to the expectations (3 star) but the owners going out of their way to accommodate requests compels me to upgrade it to a 4-star.
Unsure of any planned renovations but I would invest in a top-down interior and exterior paint job...pruning all landscaping...Internet...cable..professional floor tile cleaning (floors clean but grout work needed)...replacing kitchen appliances (stove/oven, as well as garbage disposal)...replacing electrical outlets (had issues at times throughout the home but sporadic)...and then furnishings more like a home (instead of bare walls)...would be my top priorities...
Please contact owners and give them a chance to meet your requests. It might cost a couple dollars extra but it'll be worth it, while the price is lower than the rest.
