Completely Remodeled Mid-Century Modern Home On West Bay Shore Dr.



Great for small family or 2 couples...or a single couple wanting room to roam. 4 adults max plus small child. Decorated Mid-Century modern to match the style of the home.

Major remodel completed late spring 2016. High end features, not your usual vacation rental in this area. 1100 sq ft open floor plan with oversized 2 car attached garage. Everything brand new including all appliances, fixtures, furniture, beds, bedding etc. 2BR, 1 & 1/2 bath.

Central air. All new electrical, plumbing and mechanicals, everything to modern code for your safety and comfort.

Spectrum cable internet (100 Mbps free wifi), Hulu Live, Disney +, Max, Netflix and Amazon Prime as well as Amazon Music included. 49 inch Samsung series 8 smart TV.

2 nearly identical bedrooms (12 x 12) with large walk in closets. 1 large spa-like bath (8 x 10) with large tub/shower combo. 2 sinks on 8 ft counter. Full size washer and dry on main floor near half bath mudroom area garage entry.

Good water views from large picture windows. Very nice well developed roadside park across the street with picnic tables and access to water on West Bay if you're bringing kayaks.

Wide deep lot with mature trees. House is set back from the road with long circle drive for safe exits. Great if you're towing a boat.

Large very private shaded back yard with new large concrete patio, grill and fire pit...serene..beautiful in a very simple way with lots of myrtle and ivy. Vintage Woodard dining set. Tall steep tree covered hill beyond back yard with no houses above (we own the top of the hill for something like another 400ft). Climb it if you'd like to look around.

Another patio out front with table for two....morning coffee, sunrise over the bay.

Close enough to downtown TC and very convenient to explore all the great things Leelanau County has to offer.

Please note that we are now being regulated by local government and we must comply to maintain our license to operate .... so you must also. It's easy. Basically, don't disturb the neighbors. No events or parties. No RVs, tents, campers. If you invite guests they must leave during quiet hours. 10 pm - 8 am weekdays, 11 pm weekends.

We loved our stay here! It's in a prime location, has a gorgeous backyard, and is steps away from the bay! The bedrooms were great with lots of closet storage space, charging ports at each night stand, plus extra blankets if needed. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. We would love to stay here again!

The house and property are great and very well outfitted. The back yard is lovely, and has fire pit as well as a laundry drying rack, which comes in handy. There is beach access across the street and the location is convenient to get into town or to head out to Sleeping Bear. It is on a busy road but is set back a bit and the windows do a good job of muffling the traffic sound. It’s a wonderful place and the owners have put a lot of thought and care into renovating the house and making sure it’s comfortable for guests.

Our entire experience was fantastic. Our host, Tammy was personable and communicative. The location was perfect - set between Suttons Bay and TC we had all the options for food, drinks, entertainment and shopping. The home was clean, bright, comfortable and gorgeous. The outdoor setting with private backyard was inviting - even in late November. We also enjoyed the lake access across the street. Not only did it make for a beautiful view from inside the home but also allowed for some fun exploration during the day. Our group of 4 truly loved this rental. Thank you for sharing it with us!

The place was exactly as pictured and loved the way it was decorated! It was just enough space for my husband, me, and his mom. The beds were very comfortable, and the linens were super nice. I loved sitting on the couch and watching the bay across the street. Also, easy access to a small park across the street. We didn't get to enjoy the backyard, but having the fire pit set up and ready for us was a nice touch. We also enjoyed having access to the garage, especially since it was raining for most of our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

I've lived in Traverse City my whole life and my husband since 1988. We live on West Bay Shore Dr just down the road. This is our first rental property and we are excited to help you have a great experience in and around Traverse City. We have lots of local knowledge and advice to offer.

Why they chose this property

Great location for experiencing everything Traverse City and Leelanau county have to offer. Minutes from downtown Traverse City. Easy drive to many local wineries and beaches or day trips to Suttons Bay, Leland, Glen Arbor, and Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore.

Close to TART trail. Bike to Suttons Bay for lunch. Unfortunately M22, aka West Bay Shore is not safe for biking so you'll need a bike carrier. We do have a few extra bikes, bike trailer, and tag-a-long to lend if needed. Highly recommend biking the TART trail and Heritage Trail at Sleeping Bear.

What makes this property unique

Across street from a very nice roadside park on West Bay. Not much of a beach but OK spot to launch kayak or get your feet wet if you want.

Set back from the road on a nice deep lot with circle drive for easy in and out even with your boat in tow. Large 2 car garage can accommodate a 23 ft boat and trailer if under 7 ft tall.

Launch your boat at 4 different sites only a few minutes away. 2 on West Bay. Head over to West End Beach or Clinch Park or run out to Power Island.

Or explore Lake Leelanau, Stop at the sand bar across from the nearby launch on South Lake Leelanau for awhile then head north through the narrows to North Lake Leelanau and head into Leland. Park your boat at "The Riv" and have an awesome dinner on the back patio overlooking the river. Back home before sunset.

Or hit nearby Cedar Lake, small and smooth with slalom course if you're into water skiing.
