About this property

Cute fully furnished cottage w/ shared frontage on Silver Lake , Traverse City!!

Fully furnished 2 bedrooms 1 bath cottage available for summertime weekly rental, weekend fall color trips, and a six month winter rental.

Our cottage resides in an expansive private community setting of 8 homes that share 180-feet of beautiful lake frontage on Silver Lake. We have beautiful, clear water and a sandy beach bottom. Enjoy sunsets, fishing, swimming and so much more summer fun!.

Master bedroom has a king size bed. With children in mind, the second bedroom is arranged with two sets of bunk beds (cottage sleeps 6 total).

Your rental includes WiFi/internet access, TV, board games, propane BBQ, water slide, 2 docks plus a sunset 'wine' dock, fire pit (firewood provided), gazebo, children's playground, horseshoes, patio, and 180' of sandy beach. No pets or smoking allowed per association guidelines. The cottage has brand new furniture and other amenities. Washer and dryer in unit. All linen provided. Just bring your swimsuits and food.

Our cottage is available for rent with a two night minimum stay (December thru May) and weekly from June-September. Often available for weekends or longer in September and October. Discounts apply for longer stays of one week to 28 days plus..

This cottage is centrally located:
• close to a public boat launch if you bring your own boat (there is also boat and water ‘toys’ rental companies near Silver Lake that rent by the day or longer),
• Silver Lake Recreational Area (tennis courts, Frisbee golf, walking trails, etc) is only a 1/2 mile down the road,
• Pit Spitter Park (home of the TC Pit Spitters) has semi-pro baseball games all summer long and just a short distance away.
* Lots of top rated golf courses are in the immediate area.
• only 3 miles to a brand new mega-YMCA,
• only 5 minutes to Munson Hospital,
• and 7 minutes to downtown Traverse City.

Whether you come to experience the National Cherry Festival, Traverse City Film Festival, are visiting Interlochen Arts Academy, Horse Show by the Bay, or the many area wineries, you'll love settling in at the end of the day to this great cottage on the lake. A great family get-away!

Formalities:
Your incredible summer vacation would start and end on a Saturday to allow other families to enjoy their full week too. During the fall color season you are welcome to stay a couple days or more.
Our typical weekly rate varies by the season.
There is a $125 cleaning fee.
In the summer time half down locks in your stay. Your deposit is 100% refundable with 30 days notice.

Silver lake rental

We had a very nice stay on our one week vacation at this cute little house. The house had everything you needed. It was close to the beach and set up really nice for kids. We really liked it and we were very happy with everything.

Had a wonderful stay at the cottage, first of all Mary was a great host, great communication! The cottage was super charming and very clean. We appreciated the bottle of wine and the grandkids loved the fudge! We used the gift card at Moomers Homemade Ice Cream, which was delicious. Enjoyed the beach and evenings at the fire pit. Definitely will be coming back.

We had a great stay. Property was as pictured and well stocked. The cottage was immaculate and very comfortable. Close proximity to downtown Traverse City as well as neighboring towns. Mary and Larry were great hosts and we were very surprised and greatful for the welcoming gifts that were waiting for us upon arrival. The bottle of wine, dried berries and gift card was such a nice touch. There also were 2 light sticks which came in very handy on our night hike. I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you Mary and Larry for opening your home to us and making our experience flawless.

Great cottage, comfortable and clean, and just a few houses down from Silver Lake. Our friends were in the cottage next door so very convenient for us to visit and get together. Hosts were great. Had a hiccup with internet that was resolved. TV was basic local channels or Prime, pretty limited. But I’m told that was being resolved. Would definitely stay here again!

This cottage brings back the fond memories of my grandmothers summer cottage at a lake near Ann Arbor, MI. I have the BEST summer memories of lazy days and fun with my family away from the city (Detroit). This cottage brings those memories back to life for me.
