Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Return the keys
We kindly ask guests to leave home as clean & tidy as possible. Your cleanliness helps us focus on deep cleaning between guests. Please, Keep up with towels and dishes during your visit.
Please maintain clean dishes during your visit. Avoid leaving a pile of dishes in the sink. Please only do smaller loads of laundry so to not offset the washer. Make sure to keep up with towels daily
Upon departure, return keys to the kitchen cabinet hook and leave doors unlocked. Cleaning crew arrives at 11 AM on checkout day.

Absolutely amazing location! And the hosts are so incredibly nice! They were great to communicate with and provided great hospitality. The house is in a perfect location, just a few steps from the beach and a few steps from restaurants. Very dog friendly area and house. We had six adults and two dogs and there was plenty of room for everyone! The communal areas are great for large groups.

Such a special place!

What an honor to stay in this family house full of nostalgic family treasures and style. We loved that we could so easily wander to the beach. We enjoyed even the rainy days in the sunroom. Loved it!

Great Family and Friends Beach House

Great eclectic historic beach house. We have an annual family and friends beach week and we have been to this VRBO multiple times because it is great. It is a large house with lots of character. The owners are super nice and the house comes stocked with everything you need. Highly recommend.

Fun beach weekend

Great visit to “grandma’s beach house.” The house itself is spacious enough for multiple families and has a perfect vintage beach aesthetic and nostalgic feel. The location was excellent- literally steps to get to the beach access. Beach was not busy and felt like our own private beach at times. Hoping to book this retro beach house again!

The house was absolutely amazing! Steps from the beach. The beach was clean and not crowded. Our hosts were amazing! The house was very well stocked and even had beach toys. The house was full of toys, games, and puzzles. If we are ever in Florida again this will be the first place we check out.

Beach Getaway!

This was the perfect beach house for our group. We had multiple families staying with us. A house away from the beach, down a dead end road leading to the beach access ramp. The host were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We would highly recommend this house if you are looking for a fun beach vacation. Plenty of family things to do around the area within walking distance.

Wonderful Accommodation for Families

With mere steps to the beach, this spacious house accommodated our family of ten perfectly. Much time was spent on the enclosed porch playing games, gathering for our meals, and hearing the waves of the ocean. We all wished our week there hadn’t gone so quickly.

Brilliant Beach House!

House is very large and throwback cool! This property is steps from the pristine St. Augustine beach while providing large families or groups everything they need to stay in comfort! Kitchen tools, bed, bath and beach linens all available. We had a wonderful time celebrating our son’s graduation here!

Wonderful St. Augustine Beach Home for Large Families

Perfect home for our family gathering including our fur family members.Sunroom and 2 floor living gave us just the right combination of togetherness and separation. Great location - quiet area of beach, pet friendly and easy access. Our host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and was very responsive... the history of this family home was a bonus.

We had a wonderful family time. Aloe and Renee were really nice, helpful, and very accommodating. Easy access to the beach was very nice. The extras were a plus. The beach cart was a lifesaver. Excellent few days at the beachhouse.

The house is fantastic and has all the space and basic amenities you would want. There is a outdoor deck as well as an enclosed florida room type space upstairs. Close by many restaurants and shops/stores and about 15 mins from St. Augustine historical downtown. Ice cream place down the street as well. The hosts are very nice and very communicative. Highly recommend.

Big house with history.

The decor is 70s which makes it feel a little out of date until you realize that is to make you wonder about the family who lived there in the 70s and had an influence over that area of Florida. Lots of rooms and everything you need and want is there. Best stocked kitchen I have seen in a while. We even found a garlic press.

Home away from home

This was a great find! The house was so roomy and everyone felt at home! The neighborhood is perfect! Renee and Aloe were the perfect hosts. We were there the week of hurricane Dorian. They put out safety as a top priority. We have never witnessed such concern and care! We will definitely be back!

Retro peace in paradise

We had 12 days at this fun and unique property. Staying there is like immersing into a wonderful retro museum. The house and its contents are true to the 60’s-70s. The house is very well equipped in the kitchen. It has lots of room for privacy. The big porch facing the ocean is a great place to relax and listen to the ocean. The beach is right there - beautiful beach, clean, with no cars. We walked for 5 hours total in one direction. The host, Renee, was very attentive and checked in with us by text several times. She explained the history of the house - former owners were shrimping magnates in the area. We saw reference to them in several museums we visited. We truly enjoyed our stay. The house itself was a part of our vacation - it’s that unique. Others have mentioned - the ice cream store “Cone Heads” just 1/2 a block away from the house is fabulous! We actively compared other ice cream stores in Saint Augustine. Cone Heads really is the best. So nice to have it so close to the property. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance too. Beachcombers was our favorite. We hope to return some time in the future. Thanks for sharing this great property with the VRBO community.

Great house and VERY responsive Owner

Really enjoyed our stay at the Historical Shrimper's House. The layout of the house worked well for our large group of extended family. The Owner (Renee) was very responsive when we had an issue with the air conditioner, and she made sure the problem was resolved the same day we contacted her about the problem. We plan to return next year for another week-long stay.

Quintessential St Augustine

St Augustine is an old town filled with stories of all kinds. If you would like the experience the feel of the town, stay here! It’s an iconic family home that left us wanting to know more of the family history and stories. In addition, the location is ideal and the accommodation spacious.
