Family home comprising: on the ground floor, 1 large living room, 1 large entrance, 1 large dining room, 1 large fully equipped kitchen, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, and upstairs, 4 bedrooms with 1 double bed , 1 bedroom with 1 single bed and a half, 1 large room with 2 single beds and a TV lounge with DVD player and toys, 2 shower rooms, 1 bathroom.

In addition to the 13 beds, a large alcove can be used as a bed for children.

Garden furniture area under a mulberry tree facing the swimming pool.

Swimming pool secured by SENSOR ESPIO alarm (audible, submerged and automatic) and manual bar cover, but without barrier, with tables and deckchairs.

Wow!

A fantastic home on the border of the Dordogne and Bordeaux. The house and garden were amazing. It's a "home" rather than a rental and we loved this. It has everything you need and it has a lovely warm feeling to it. We had a lovely 4-week stay here. Steve and Sergine (who manage the house) were fantastic and we were very sad to say goodbye. Steve especially gave us loads of great tips on places to go. Lac Jemaye, the food festival in Le Pizou, local markets, canoeing near Montpon, local farm shop that sold milk straight from the dairy etc. The standout for us was wine tasting around Pomerol and St Emillion—we ended up doing three wine tasting days! St Emillion really is one of the most beautiful villages you could ever hope to visit. It's ground zero for wine and it's steeped in history. I suppose the only drawback of the location of house was that you had to pop in a car to go anywhere. And the nearby town of Montpon isn't anything special. That said, the more we got to know it the more we enjoyed it. We miss the Chateau terribly. Hopefully one day we will return.

Anyone Seeking The Chateau Experience

We absolutely loved our stay at Chateau Des Grillauds. It was the pinnacle of our European vacation this summer. This property is full of character, well equipped and comfortable with lots of bedrooms and space. Marie-Therese and the caretaker, Stephen were extremely helpful and friendly. We loved the location with very good local markets almost every day and it is within an hour of Bordeaux and notable vineyards as well as being very central in the Dordogne district. Our kids loved the pool which was heated and kept at 30 degrees Celsius. We would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you so much. TGB

Beautiful holidays by the pool

We (2 families with 8 kids) spent 2 weeks at this beautiful chateaux. The house was lovely with lots of space and a fantastic pool. The housekeeper Steve lived next door and helped out, whenever we needed support/advice. The house was full of authentic decoration. If anything we would recommend, to replace some of the older mattresses (which is why we only gave 4 stars).
