This property is great. A well taken property that feels like a home. Vintage and well designed. We loved the kitchen and bar area. The views in the morning were breathtaking. We experienced snow while staying at the house and the owners were quick to act and provide us with anything we needed. We would love to return for another visit.
Nice Lakefront in Good Location with Excellent Yard
The owner was very responsive during the booking process and even thoughtfully left us a bottle of wine for our Thanksgiving week trip to Tahoe.
The lake view is beautiful and the fenced yard (for dogs and kids) is a huge plus.
The house is spacious and has lots of comfy zones to relax in. It is definitely an older / retro style house but has charm and you can tell their family has made many great memories there. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The driveway is large and can easily accommodate multiple cars if needed.
I grew up going to Tahoe - it's truly my happy place. We were looking to spend a week on the lake with close family friends who hadn't spent a lot of time in Tahoe and we really wanted to show it off - This place was PERFECT! The pictures may make the house look dated - but don't be fooled...it's perfectly charming and authentically retro right down to the amazing lake view bar. The beds were all very comfortable, the linens were great and there was PLENTY of room. Within our 2 families we each have 3 children so we had 10 people in the house and never felt like we were on top of each other. The kitchen is FULLY stocked - it actually became a game to try and come up with something they didn't have.."I wonder if they have corn cob holders" - YEP "I wonder if there is a salad spinner" - Yep!
The Floor to Ceiling windows give you expansive views of the lake and the beautiful yard - the fact that this house has a large lawn to let the kids and dog play on is very rare for it being on the lake...we absolutely loved it! We were able to rent a boat so we could really take advantage of the pier and buoy. The location of the house couldn't be better - we boated to Garwoods for dinner, 2 minute drive to the Tahoe Tree-top adventure in Tahoe Vista, 5 minute drive to Tahoe City and the truckee river, easy and beautiful boat ride to Sunnyside for lunch and easy access to so many mountain bike trails. We were even able to catch a couple rainbow trout right off the pier! The homeowners were very easy to get a hold of, super responsive and very helpful!
Our friends ended up loving Tahoe as much as we do - and this house was the BEST place to show it off. A huge thank you for a fabulous week and we can't wait to get back there!
Our family got together for an amazing week on the lake. The house was just perfect... Old Tahoe charm, amazing views, plenty of space for everyone to spread out and all the amenities you could think of. Waking up early to watch the sunrise over the lake, coffee on the deck, morning paddle board or kayak ride. We brought our own boat and had it on the buoy. We hiked, fished, the kids caught crawdads... Wonderful memories made. Pam and Corinne were amazing hosts and super responsive. We are already planning next year!
