About this property

This apartment was completely renovated a few months ago. It has a suite, a living room of 50 m2 with kitchenette, a bathroom and an extra WC. It has a balcony that overlooks Augusta Street which is simply marvellous!
The photograph of the street was taken from this balcony!
From this balcony we have a privileged view on Chiado and Rua Augusta. It's a 4th floor and there's no elevator.
In the living room there is a double sofa bed and a single bed that can be converted into two single beds, or in one double bed (this bed in German is called Raumsparbett).
The apartment is fully equipped and acomodates 6 people.

Important Rules:
- It's strictly forbidden to make noise after 10 p.m.
- Parties are strictly forbidden
- Check-in is possible from 12 a.m. but please note that when there's someone leaving the apartment the same day, check-in time will always depend on the previous check-out.
- We need about 2-3 hours to prepare the apartment
- Normally is possible to leave the luggage at the apartment on the day you arrive, while the apartment is being prepared for you
- Guest cannot use the apartment neither stay on the apartment while it's being prepared for them
- Check-out is until 12 a.m.
- The following charges are applied for late check-in: 20 euros after 10 p.m. and 30 euros after 12 a.m.
- Late check-out is possible but it must be always arranged directly with me. Charges may be applied
- When it's not possible to have a late checkout, we let the guests leave their luggage on the apartment until as late as possible
- Guests must leave the apartment cleaned and tidy
- Garbage can't be left on the apartment (unless guests leave on a Sunday because garbage is not collected on Sundays)

NOT UP TO STANDARDS

Sorry to say the apartment was not clean and air conditioning didn't work. Flies all over, holes in the hallway floor. Dangerous walk up 71 steps especially dangerous with heavy luggage. Very disappointed with the false advertising. two thumbs down for me :(

Convenient, but noisy and dirty

This apartment is centrally located, probably ideal for shoppers, those who like the party scene. Very hard to sleep at night with the noise from the street below. The view is lovely from the balcony. The apartment was not clean; I would not welcome guests to my home if floors weren’t swept, windows needing to be washed, and the dust on the light fixtures was ridiculous…if you have allergies, keep looking! No bedside lighting so fumbling around in the pitch dark when I got up to get some water; my toe might be broken from stubbing it in the dark. The freezer is in dire need of defrosting. We have stayed in Porto and Lagos, too. The other two places were far cheaper and much, much nicer. But, the host is trying! He promises he’ll make the changes we suggested. Again, the location is great IF you like shopping, and don’t mind noise from the restaurants, entertainers below.

Great location

Location, location, location. Can’t get any better. Miguel was quick to respond to all of our questions and requests. He even provided suggestions for restaurants and sites to see while in the city. Talk about responsive, he even face timed us to help guide through the process using the washer/dryer unit in the apartment. What a life saver. Also, we arrived a little early on the first day and Sarah, the maid, greeted us and help with the luggage and we were able to store the luggage until the unit was cleaned. Can’t say how much we enjoyed our stay

Perfect location; lots of good info from host

Everything was lovely except the 73 steps up. Didn't see that when booking. (And we are in our late 60's!). Anyway everything else was great. Miguel was most helpful. Location is perfect.

Good central location

Nice place! Miguel and Sara were extremely helpful in getting us in and settled, and gave us a yummy restaurant recommendation. Nice cold water waiting in the fridge for us. Central location on pedestrian avenue was easy to navigate from... just a short walk to central squares. Lots of shopping, bakeries, and restaurants all around. Street outside very touristy and noisy but the windows worked well to shut out the noise. Place was clean, bed comfortable. Bed linens and pillows/pillowcases could be better. Confused by the washer/dryer but eventually it worked out. Could use a few lamps rather than just ceiling lighting. Blind in bedroom didn't work. Stairs challenging but we knew that ahead of time. All in all good place and good stay. Thank you Miguel!
