Beautiful, spacious villa with a large pool - close to Lucca, sea and Florence

The oldest part of Casa Oliveta dates back to 1632. The elegant and spacious (550 m2) villa has since then been enlarged and renovated to the excellent condition as it has today. The house is very beautiful, with views of olive groves, a bird lake and small Italian villages in the distance. The house is built in solid stone and therefore retains a cool freshness during the summertime. All windows are fitted with mosquito nets and shutters, and each bedroom has a ceiling fan.

Just in front of the house, facing south, you will find the large swimming pool, surrounded by a large, paved sun terrace and an outside shower. There are also swings, a fotball game and a ping pong table.
The house has 2 floors and there are 7 rooms with double beds, of which 3 on the ground floor, and 4 bathrooms - 2 on each floor. Many beautiful historical features have been preserved, such as the amazing bathroom with Majolica tiles in clear blue, green and pink. On the ground floor you will also find the large living room with sofa TV and a fireplace, and the large kitchen with space for both cooking and long dinners. Outside the kitchen there is a large, covered, loggia with barbequeue and plenty of space for eating al fresco. Above, there is a large covered terrace where there is plenty of room for hanging out in the lounge sofas.

In the garden, about 2 hectares, you will find lots of olive trees, fruit trees, flowers, spices and a large vegetable garden. On a secluded part of the plot, is also our private house, so we are close to hand if there are any questions.

We attach great importance to the fact that the crops are organic, and we are also self-sufficient for electricity from our solar panels. Water to pool and irrigation is taken from a separate well.

From Pisa Airport and the sea it takes about 30 minutes, and the charming city of Lucca is only 15 minutes away. If you want to explore Florence, it will take about 50 min. On the way there. 30 min, passing Montecatini Terme where there are a number of spas and thermal baths to choose from.
There are possibilities for biking, hiking (Garfagnana), skiing (Abetone), tennis, culture and music (concerts in Lucca, Puccini in Torre di Lago mm), wine tasting (Montecarlo, Bolgheri, Chianti etc.). We will be happy to assist you with recommendations and advice.

The house is on the border between Pieve di Compito and Colle di Compito (between Lucca and Pontedera). In the village there is a small grocery store, a bar, a pizzeria and a very charming restaurant, Il Giardinetto, all within walking distance. The road around the bird lake is ideal for walking or jogging. In the neighboring town of Sant Andrea you play tennis and pick up its crystal clear spring water in taps located just off the road.
