The apartment was fine. Conveniently located. A little shabby and basic. Lacking in the basic stuff like a bottle of water in the fridge (tap water fine) just lovely on arrival after a long journey. Those little perks make a difference late at night. The 55 steps were well warned in the reviews but were fine. Easy to manage even for my 75 year old mum.

Very nice apartment. We loved the antique feel and the floor to ceiling windows which face the courtyard. It was very quiet. For those less mobile, be aware the walk from key pick-up to the apartment takes 15-20 minutes. There is also no lift and the several flights of stairs will be tough for some guests. Not an issue for our family though.

August Stay

We checked in late, so we had to pick up keys from a partner hotel within 20min walking distance. The apartment is very spacious! The AC is set to 20C. We tried to lower the temperature since it was really hot outside, the AC turns off. It took some time to figure out the AC operation. Once it started working, it was fine. There is a washing machine in the unit , very helpful. A few flights of stairs to apartment without elevator. Communication with the owner via WhatsUp.

Unbelievably painful process to pick up the keys. Nowhere is it clear that you’ll walk substantial distances across town have to go through a couple of guided tours of cameras and gates and keypads only to pick up your key for the place and to find out that you will now be walking another 20 to 30 minutes. Absurd. I suppose if you’re staying longer than three or four days this might be worth it, but otherwise I would steer clear.

We had a quick overnighter here and the place was fine. If we were here longer, the location was great. My main issue was that we did not get a link to pay until we were on our trip, and then had issues with internet connection and my cc card trying to pay while on the road. We did not pay through VRBO. Key pick up was at a different location so be prepared to let someone off and drive around as parking is difficult. Then, of course, we could not bring our car into the city center so walking with luggage is a consideration. All in all, a good place.

Central location for Verona

Excellent location for all we wanted to see - everything within a 15 minute walk (Juliet's Balcony, Arena, etc). Very spacious flat, very clean and tidy. Second level flat has about 55 stairs to climb to get to it, so keep that in mind if stairs are a concern. Washing machine worked excellent; no iron or ironing board in the flat - you need to request with at least 24 hour notice and they bring one to you, but they did not have one available for our stay. They directed us to a local laundry service for ironing. Very quiet neighbourhood, very comfortable beds and pillows. Would highly recommend.
