The even quieter Northern Fells are on your doorstep with many walks, yet easily accessible for day trips are the popular tourist towns of Keswick, Cockermouth and the historic city of Carlisle. The famous Hadrian’s Wall is only a short drive as well as Dumfries and Galloway, the Scottish Borders and the Yorkshire Dales. Pub and restaurant 1 mile.
