Still retaining original charm with beamed ceilings, this Grade II listed holiday apartment is located above the owner’s shop which sells handmade bath products. Sitting almost at the bottom of the 199 steps that lead up to the iconic Whitby Abbey and St Marys Church, which were said to be the inspiration to Bram Stokers novel ’Dracula’, it lies in a super location for exploring Whitby. Ideal for couples and families alike, Whitby offers something for everyone. Enjoy some seaside fun, or a long romantic stroll along the coast. The Cinder Track and Cleveland Way are just two of the wonderful walks in the area, and the National Cycle Network passes nearby. There are many hidden bays and coves dotted along the magnificent coastline, such as Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes, both with links back to old pirate times and where you will also find plenty of links to Captain James Cook. There are waterfalls, abbeys and many other places to visit, including Eden Camp Museum and Flamingo Land Resort. The medieval walled city of York and the traditional seaside resort of Scarborough are within easy reach. Whitby is a great place for all ages and interests, which is why it attracts so many repeat visitors year after year. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
