Briargarth is a delightful, detached bungalow in its own enclosed gardens on a quiet cul-de-sac, within a 5-minute walk from Keswick’s town centre. Briargarth is light and airy, and a particular feature is the private rear garden with panoramic fell views, which provides a private space in which to relax, unwind and enjoy the spectacular sunsets. Situated on the fringes of the town, Briargarth has the best of both worlds, all the amenities of the town centre close at hand and fell walking opportunities from the door. Keswick, renowned for its spectacular setting and surrounded by mountains, is the perfect base from which enjoy a holiday in the northern Lakes, with many walks to suit all abilities surrounding this beautiful town. If you don’t want to venture far, stroll through the town with its many outdoor and speciality shops, friendly pubs, cafés and restaurants. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Just got back from a great week away in a comfortable home close to everything, we barely used the car all week, we looked at reviews before we booked so everything was as expected, would be great if the owners read the feedback and upgraded the bathroom to a useable shower with a curtain so that two couples can use the house and have there own bathroom. Other than that we would look to book again if we are back to Keswick at some point.

The cottage was warm, comfy, clean and very convenient with a perfect walk into the town along the banks of the Greta. The garden was excellent for our dog, being fully enclosed. Parking off road at the property was very useful. The bed and settees were comfortable and it was nice having the french windows adjacent to the settee. The kitchen area though small was manageable and having the en suite as well as the separate bathroom was useful. We have booked a further week.

A wonderful bungalow in a perfect location.

A wonderful bungalow in a perfect location. Everything we needed was provided plus extra - a much appreciated welcome pack. The secure garden is a bonus. It is beautifully planted to encourage bees and butterflies and feeders encourage a variety of birds - wonderful to watch. It is extremely quiet given the proximity of the town centre. A short walk to the bus station, we didn’t use our car all holiday. The bus service still ran on time despite the Penrith Road closure. We highly recommend Briargarth - our only disappointment is that we tried to book for next year and it is already booked!!

Been to this area many times very handy to walk on the flat into Keswick and leave car parked all day! Nice size garden very secure for a dog. Well equipped nothing to complain about although my wife said there was no biscuit tin, no matter we soon eat them.
