Over all everything was very good.

Over all everything was very good. Only complaint outside the front door very slippy with moss and leaves need a bush up.

The place is in need of a makeover it’s in a great location in the centre of town although the lack of WiFi will defiantly prevent me from booking again! The back yard has a lot of moss making it very dangerous especially in the wet weather a bit of jeyes fluid and a hard yard brush would sort this out!

The pros of the property were the light-filled kitchen and lounge, which were clean. There was lots of space for the family, with three bedrooms, which were also clean. There were nice views of Latrigg from the windows of the upstairs bedrooms.The listing states that the property is above an art gallery, but it's actually across the road above a men's clothing store, which took us a while to figure out while standing on a busy road with all our bags. The passageway to get to the property is pretty grotty. The bathrooms had some black mould in the corners of the showers. The only wi-fi available seemed to be an expensive paid option and not included in the rental. When I emailed the host to clarify, I didn't hear back. Overall, we did have a good stay, but I would look elsewhere for our next stay.

We had a lovely stay. Flat was really warm but not too hot, had all the necessary basic amenities and is in a great central location. Parking is a bit of a walk away bit that's manageable. One major downside: no wifi. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Winter walking trip

A perfect property for us. We were a group of 4 adults that visited for a winter walking trip. We know Keswick well and the property is in a perfect location, a short wander to the shops and more importantly the pubs! The car park is also only a 2 minute wander away. We found the agent for the keys easily, there were no fussy introductions or rules scripts. Just a polite “hello” and the keys and parking permit were handed over. The property was very clean and had everything we needed. However WiFi would be a great addition as some of the group had hoped to use mapping apps to plan walks that needed internet access to do so. The property was very well heated however the visitor book advises against using both showers simultaneously, I am a heating engineer so am fully aware that a standard combination boiler will not supply 2 showers at the same time! Perhaps an electric shower in the upstairs bathroom would be a good idea? A minor grumble. We will almost certainly use Skiddaw view again as it was all but perfect for our needs.

The external entrance / walkway to the flat leaves a lot to be desired.

The external entrance / walkway to the flat leaves a lot to be desired. I would suggest more safety / security lighting and a lick of paint especially on the metal door. The shower in the en-suite is of no use whatsoever and the main shower is excellent. The pillows on the beds were very hard indeed and a softer pillow would have been much appreciated. A lovely place to stay if you're after somewhere in town with good access to the shops, cafes and restaurants. Fairly quiet on a night considering it was in the middle of town. Good size rooms and a clean modern feel. Summer weight duvets would be good as it was quite warm in the bedrooms. This was good accommodation for our needs.
