This is a newer log cabin with stunning views of Lake Michigan. The back porch sits high overlooking the Lake for a beautiful place to relax. New in 2022: kitchen cabinets and counters, new flooring throughout, and dishwasher added.

Disclosure: There is a camera outside in the front and a camera in the rear. Both are set as stationary on the front door and the back door. These are for security only - there are no cameras inside the home.

Private master bedroom with queen bed, and loft has queen bed and two twin beds. Sleeps total of 6 comfortably.

Minutes from the action of St. Ignace, you can come 'home' to your luxury cabin on Lake Michigan.

Mackinac Bridge is viewable from the property shore.

There is great cellphone/internet service but no hard line or WiFi. There is no hot tub.

Perfect getaway!

After several stays here, I just can’t wait to get back! So comfortable, great location; secluded yet close to the city and other amenities. Although all you need is a load of firewood and good company. And Mary is the consummate host.

MAGICAL

We have visited this cabin 5 times, & it is the PERFECT artists’ retreat for us (we’re both professional musicians). It is bliss every visit. It is clean, & the kitchen is huge & the bed comfy; yet the view, the rocky beach, the soft air, watching freighters go by, the STARS at night(!), make this place the charming magic it is. We adore it!

UP Getaway

This property was exactly what we were looking for. Exceeded our expectations. Location was so convenient for what we wanted to do and see. Very peaceful and quiet and was a wonderful place to unwind and unplug. Had two 23year old boys with me and as a mom it was great to see them enjoy it all. They didn’t want to leave that lakefront!!

Beautiful!

My family of 4 stayed here for a quick getaway before sending our oldest to college. It was perfect! If you are looking to explore the UP, this is a great place to stay. We took day trips to Tahquamenon Falls, Pictured Rock and Mackinac Island. We also spent the day at the roadside beaches just west of the cabin along Rt 2. Mary’s place provided a beautiful space to retreat to at the end of the day to watch the sunset and play games. We had a wonderful family vacation!

Quiet getaway

The home and property were rustic and charming. With the cool nights Air conditioning was not needed however the moisture off the lake kept everything a bit damp. The views from the porch were beautiful and access to the water made a wonderful evening ritual to watch the sunset from the shoreline. The house was equipped with the basics but we needed to bring our own soap, shampoo and hair dryer. Would recommend this property.

St Ignace Cabin and Car show

This was an amazing cabin and met all of our needs! We loved being away from town but close to all the action of the car show! The views from the backyard were beautiful! We loved exploring everyday and coming back to chill at night and didn’t miss having WiFi at all!

Perfect spot!

This is a great cabin! Secluded yet so close to everything. Incredible views, so comfortable. This was our third stay; we’ll be contacting Mary in a few months to schedule next year’s week.

This was our third stay at this cabin, & it is an IDEAL artists’ retreat and/or anyone-who-needs-a-break retreat! It is unspeakably lovely. Its clean, relaxing, & perfectly embraces the wildness of the U.P. Bring binoculars to watch the freighters & birds (5 bald-eagle sightings this time), & a telescope for the starry nights! We sleep well, we get a lot of creative work done—it’s SO QUIET & BEAUTIFUL!! Stay here, it’s worth it.

If your looking for a secluded and quiet place that’s 5 min from st. Ignance look no further. Be as adventurous or as reclusive as you’d like this rental gives the option of both.

Great Stay

Mary has a lovely cabin and property. Relaxing each morning on the deck with a cup of coffee while looking at the water was a great way to start the day. Relaxing on the deck in the evening with a cocktail or glass of MI cherry wine was the perfect way to end the day. The cabin was clean, check in and check out were uncomplicated. The location is perfect for day trips. We brought fans with us because there is no AC, but didn't need to because there were fans in each bedroom and the living area when we arrived. No WiFi or cable, but that didn't bother us. Our phones had good signal and 5G. The area is beautiful, the people are friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to book this cabin again should I return to the UP.

October Colors

Lovely cabin on the shore of Lake Michigan. Cabin site is quiet and secluded. Great location for visiting eastern U.P. spots. The owner was pleasant and responsive - overall a very good experience.

Perfect location and ambience!

This is an ideal location and property. The house is cozy and beautiful; the views of Lake Michigan are stunning! We stayed put; we went up to Hessel to golf; we drove up to Munising to fish for Lake Trout. And was always happy to get back to the property to relax by the fire pit. This is our second year and we can’t wait to go back!

WONDERFUL Lake Cabin get-away

We simply LOVED our stay at the property! Everything is as described. EXCEPT...the view and access to the lake is EVEN BETTER than any words can describe. The cabin has a rustic feel but still with plenty of modern amenities. We were able to get cell service just fine when we did need it, but ultimately, this is the perfect spot to unplug and just relax and take a breath from modern life. The views from the deck are second to none! Highly recommend watching a sunset on the private beach access! The property (owner) Mary is simply amazing! When we did have to contact her about a couple of small items, she responded immediately! She is so kind and wants to be sure that you relax while you stay! Beautiful area of the Country and a beautiful property and place to stay! Would recommend to anyone! Thanks again!

Perfect Lake Michigan getaway

This property was well worth the value with stunning views of lake Michigan and the Mackinaw Bridge all contained within the privacy of beautifully forested property. My wife and I loved exploring the beach and sitting on the cozy deck which offered gorgeous sights rain or shine, night or day. The cabin offered all the amenities of home with a comfy master suite and plenty of room for families with more beds up stairs. This will always be our first pick from now on when travelling the the U.P.

For the most part it was great, the setting and scenery were great, but walking by the lake was difficult. The location is great for seeing the local sights. At times the lack of internet and TV was difficult.

5 night Ohio family getaway

Enjoyed waking up to the Lake Michigan sights and sounds. Nice for viewing stars, make sure to bring your bug spray. Shoreline fishing is too shallow, so bring a kayak. Overall experience was nice. Would recommend!

A nice peaceful vacation rental! Great communication with the host. Beautiful scenery as the rental is nestled in the wilderness. FYI: Bring plenty of bottled water unless you are accustomed to well water.

Lakeside serenity

This house was perfect for our fall trip to the U.P. It looks just like the pictures - warm, spacious and cozy. We loved our view of the lake, the privacy of the property, and its convenient location to St Ignace, Mackinac Island, and many hiking trails in the area. The house was clean and communications with Mary was easy and prompt. We did not miss having internet at all, but it was nice to have a DVD player for the night we decided to watch a movie. I would definitely stay here again.

I love the character of this home! It had some cool features!

All was good. Loved the deck and the living space character. If I were to change anything it would be adding a little extra like a bit of firewood., maybe tv and DVD player in living room. And the toilet is way to low. We fixed the loose toilet seat and gave whole placei a cleaning when we arrived. Our trash was not emptied from week before and was not put by road on Thursday of that week so container was full after our week up there. It also was musty so we bought air fresheners and the carpet I think is the cause. But we loved our stay and the view is very beautiful.
