Common Concerns: *Road Conditions: Some of our cabins are on steep, narrow, curvy, mountain roads. If you are concerned about road conditions to get to a cabin, please feel free to ask us! None of our cabins requires a 4-wheel drive under normal weather conditions, but some do in inclement weather. *TV & WiFi: We do have TVs and WiFi in most of our cabins. There are times when heavy cloud cover, weather systems, mountains, or trees will cause problems with the signals. We always want our guests to have the comforts they want on vacation, but there are times we cannot control this problem. *Pests & Wildlife: Here in the Smoky Mountains, we have lots of native bugs and wildlife. All of our cabins are treated for pests, but there are times you will find bugs or even have trouble with bugs. Fall/Winter is ladybug season in the Smokies, and these little buggers are attracted to heat, meaning your cabin and every other one out there that is warm! They will swarm to the cabin, and you'll probably see them alive/dead on windowsills, in vents, etc. Rest assured that your cabin has regular pest control and is professionally cleaned, including bug removal, before and after your stay. However, these bugs come back right away, and unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done about them until the season passes. Please never feed, taunt, or approach any wildlife. This is their home, and we are the visitors. *There are no refunds for storms or power outages. If there is a power outage, there will be no water and potentially no heat. Storms can also make roads impassable, so if a storm is in the forecast during your reservation, come prepared with water and non-perishable food, etc.
FEES: The management company of this cabin charges a $20 per stay Damage Waiver Fee to every customer. It is automatically included in your rate. This covers our guests for up to $350 worth of accidental damage should damage occur during their stay. If damage occurs to the cabin, furnishings, etc, please report it to management as soon as possible so that the damage can be repaired. You may opt out of paying the $20 damage waiver fee by putting down a $350 REFUNDABLE damage deposit.
✨ Peace of Mind & Travel Insurance: I want your stay to be stress-free and enjoyable. Please note that this home has a strict cancellation policy. Because life can be unpredictable, we encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance for extra peace of mind. This way, you can book with confidence knowing you’re protected no matter what comes up. This can be done at www.insuremytrip.com where you can pick the coverage that suits your situation.

As others have stated, the drive in can be overwhelming if not used to driving in steep terrain but, definitely worth it. Enjoyed everything, the cabin, the setting and the distance from town. Look forward to the next time.
The setting is beautiful. Loved the little staged bear in the tree. There was hardly any traffic! Overall a peaceful getaway!

It’s wonderful to know that the tranquility and lack of traffic contributed to a relaxing stay. If there’s anything specific you feel could enhance the experience further, we’d love to hear your suggestions.
We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you again in the future!
Quiet, serene and comfortable. Hot tub was nice. Surrounded by trees on the deck. Made it seem more private. Cabin was cozy and cute. Bigger than what I anticipated. We had a good time in their cute little town. Close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. 5 stars!
I had a great time staying here, very quiet and relaxing. I loved relaxing in the hot tub after the sun went down listening to some music. The drive is very scenic if you decide to go into Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. I highly recommend it. Great cabin for a single traveler or a couple.
We LOVED the Bear View cabin. It had everything we needed, plus it was decorated so nicely. When we had a problem, we made a phone call and help was dispatched immediately.

So glad that you guys enjoyed your stay. The hot tub was not dirty. It had a few granules of dust on the bottom. What he didn't say was that we sent someone out first thing in the morning to take care of it. We drained it, santized it again and refilled it. We had done that the day that they arrived. Hot tubs are outside. When the wind blows, sometimes small granules can get under the cover and into the water. They are more like swimming pools than bathtubs. We are very particular about our hot tubs so when he said it was dirty, I was suspicious knowing we had drained, sanitized and refilled it that day.

The Log cabin was authentic and we loved that part. What we didn’t like was the we had to turn off the heater or it overheated at night and the neighbors came in with loud music in the middle of the night.
Great cabin, great stay! I had read the reviews regarding the access road but wasn't worried because I live in a rural area with narrow winding roads. Getting to and from the cabin terrified me! Steep, sharp turn, blind crests on knoll. That was the only drawback. Love the cabin, the deck and hot tub.
We loved the cabin but really didn't like the trip up and down...really slick when it rained so was too afraid to drive it then..lol The cabin and everything else was wonderful..except the noise the fridge makes..wakes you up at night a lot. And it'd be nice to give people directions for the TV use. We had to call the number to get them. It should be listed in your book there or by the tv. You have a very nice cabin and we actually had a bear visit us on the porch one evening..luckily we were inside when it showed up..but a big surprise..loved seeing it actually. Overall we had a wonderful experience there.

Thank you so much for leaving your thoughts on our Bear View cabin. The drive up to the cabin is steep and it is mentioned in our advertisement. We were not aware that the fridge was making a noise so we will take care of that asap. There is a printed and laminated copy of directions for using the TV at the cabin. It should've been on the coffee table or below the TV when you arrived. We will make sure it is there. Glad you were able to see our resident bear!! Not every one gets to meet her!!

MISLED
My biggest issue was not being told the steepness of the hill to get to our cabin and the one car at a time concept. We called upon arrival and they did not care. It rained and we had to park by the pool and walk. The hill is steep and I have a knee replacement.
The cabin smelled musty too and alot of furniture crammed into small space. There were no space for groceries, to hang or store clothes. And a washer/dryer was thought to be in the cabin and it is not.

I am very sorry that you felt misled. There are multiple statements in our ad that state that this cabin is up a steep road. We even say that a 4X4 is needed in inclement weather. Many of the reviews mention the drive up to the cabin as well. Our guest contract states that the guest is responsible for arriving to their cabin but if asked, we have on many, many occasions, assisted guests with getting to the cabin or giving directions on how to get up their cabin with ease. The photos posted are exactly what is in the cabin. There are 3 small dressers to place clothing and a rack outside of the bathroom door with hangers to hang clothing. There is plenty of room to walk around, move dining chairs around and relax on the reclining sofa. There's several feet on each side of the bed and about 6 ft from the end of the bed to the back of the sofa. Again, the cabin is exactly as photographed. We do not advertise a washer and dryer because there isn't one on the property.
This cabin was super easy to find with the signs. Great hosts and super clean and comfy!
It may have said this in the description and I didn’t read carefully- but warning that it is straight up a hill to get to! I’m glad we brought our SUV instead of our car. :)
This cabin was perfect for our needs. Well stocked with all the necessities, close to town, and cozy. The hill to cabin is no joke and difficult in a small car on a wet road- but that just added to the excitement!
Cabin was well suited for the 2 of us. It was well stocked and decorated nicely. Bed was firm but comfortable. Be prepared for the drive up to the cabin. The road is narrow and the angles sharp. But hey you are in the mountains so there's that. Hot tub was good but could be upgraded. It was in a good location if looking for a quiet weekend away which we were and somewhat secluded. Cabins were well spaced.
