Kona Reef A22 - Direct Ocean Front Condo - Private Lanai - Next to Honl's Beach!

Welcome to our beautifully decorated ocean front condo in paradise - Kona Reef A-22.

Our condo is our home away from home, so we respectfully request a maximum of 2 adult guests and no children under 18.

Whether this is your first trip to Kailua-Kona or you are a frequent visitor to the island, our condo at Kona Reef Resort will definitely be your favorite place to stay.

Our condo is only 23 feet from the water and the 3rd floor views from the lanai are absolutely mesmerizing. You will find yourself drawn to the views from the lanai from dawn till dusk, and with the sounds of the surf, warm tropical breezes and the views of the ocean, you will soon find a soothing sense of calm begin to take over.

Our private lanai hosts a bar height table and chairs, plus 2 swivel chairs with ottomans and a side table. Most mornings while sitting on the lanai and drinking a steamy mug of incredible Kona coffee, a few of the local surfers will be out in front of the condo catching the morning waves, and by the time the sun comes over the volcano, more often than not a pod of spinner dolphins will pass through on their early morning trek.

Early on Wednesdays and Saturdays mornings, cruise ships will pass directly in front of the condo and dock in Kaulua- Kona for the day and then sail off to Lahaina, Maui as the sun begins to set. The humpback whales (na kohola) visit Hawaii every year from November until early May and some have even been spotted from the lanai.

Once your day begins to wind down, you will find yourself anxiously waiting for the stunning sunsets that Hawaii is famous for.

This is an excellent place to stay. The listing is entirely accurate and the views are unparalleled. Easy access to everything on the island. Parking is free and convenient. Loved staying at this property. The view was amazing, the sound of the waves soothes you to sleep, enjoying coffee on the balcony every morning was just heavenly. We walked every night into town to get our steps in. Will definitely be returning. The host were wonderful with all communication.

This property is in an amazing location. Right on the water and can listen to the waves and watch boogie boarding. It is a short walk to pubs and shops, restaurants. The pool is amazing and heated which is a plus. Even in the warm weather a heated pool is perfect. Everyone at the condo was so friendly so we had a lot of fun conversations. We BBQ’d several times so that was convenient but the BBQ’s on site took a long time to heat up so that was a bit of a nuisance. I think they might need an update. Our hosts were very good. They checked in to make sure all was satisfactory. The condo is very well stocked, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and a lot of dishes and utensils and spices. Every thing you need. I honestly think this is the best condo to rent. Highly recommend

So happy to hear you loved sitting out on the lanai watching the waves (and hopefully you found the local surfers to be entertaining). Also glad to hear the dolphins were out in front of the condo but hopefully the resident sea turtles showed up before the end of your stay. We normally see 1 big one and 3-4 smaller ones so I was disappointed when I read your email which said that you hadn’t seen them. Please let us know if you want to come back for your next anniversary. We would love to have you back again as our guests.

Most amazing sunset and ocean activity views! We saw whales, dolphins, swimmers, surfers, outriggers turtles and birds right from the deck! Wonderfully appointed and amenities. Really enjoyed the filtered water spigot in the kitchen! Communication from owners was thorough and timely and clear. Definitely worth it!

The best part was the proximity to the ocean. I spent hours watching the surfers and body boarders. The bed was super comfy and the condo fully stocked. I appreciated the prompt and helpful communication with the owners.

This condo has it all. Oceanfront view, easy walk to town, beautiful furnishings and decor, and stocked with all essentials to make your stay easy and hassle free. Plus the complex has a pool and BBQ which we used on a daily basis. We enjoyed watching the surfers, boogie boarders and wonderful sunsets from the lanai.

Aloha Linda – Thank you for the 5 star review. Hawaii was having their King Tides last week (which were huge) so the surfers and boogie boarders in front of the condo were very entertaining! The sunsets were also amazing so wondering if the two might have been related. One particular sunset was like a big red ball without a cloud it sight. It was just breathtaking. We use the BBQ’s most evenings too trying the different varieties of meat and seafood offered at the different markets. The variety of fish on the mainland is so different from what they have over on the islands! If you have a moment, check out the new pix – we just put in a wet bar and wine fridge in the front room – you can’t tell by the pix, but we put in new carpet in the living room and bedroom too. Please let us know if you decide to make another trip to Kona – we would love to have you as our guests. Mahalo KaCee & Kurt

Wonderful stay at Kona Reef Condos.

Beautiful condo with a private balcony overlooking the surf and the beautiful Pacific! Everything you could possibly need in the unit. Great linens and all the comforts of home. Walking distance to great restaurants, great bars, shopping, and even a wonderful Catholic Church. We loved the unit, we loved our stay, and hope to return back to the same rental!

Hawaii is a magical place. A place and a spirit that words can not describe. One must experience this feeling, called Aloha, to understand. Most people say they just 'feel' better, healthier, and more alive here in Paradise. We found the uncrowded beaches and small town atmosphere of Kona a relaxing family-style vacation destination to soak up the true Aloha. While the other Hawaiian islands all have their unique charm, The Big Island has spoken to us and we can now call it our second home.
