Christmas Cabin

The deck is a comfortable and cool place to just hang out during the summer months, while the interior is comfortable and inviting. With the screened windows open during the summer months you’ll hear the soft breezes through the pine trees along with the chirping of the chipmunks and birds.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, one with a king, and the other with two twins. There is one bedroom downstairs with a queen bed. Bathrooms are on both floors. The dinning area seats up to 8 and is open and spacious. Fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed, and a wood burning stove fireplace. There is 3 parking spots over summer months, and 2 over winter months.
All within a 25 minute drive from Glacier Point, Wawona, and Yosemite Valley.

The Yosemite Experience

What a great place to stay within Yosemite. Only a short scenic 20 minute ride to the valley floor, without having to drive through and pay at the admission booths. Makes visiting this iconic park a breeze!

Very roomie, very clean space. Everything we needed in the kitchen as we cooked all our meals here. The view was lovely and the deck made sitting outside great. Very quiet area and very close to the valley.

Great Stay at the Christmas Cabin

This is a great cabin. The decor is whimsy. Everything was clean and we found it to our liking. We had 3 generations staying here; 6 people ages 6-72. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare breakfasts and two dinners. Everything was nicely laid out and there was even a generous supply of coffee, teas, and hot chocolate provided. The living room was very comfortable to read or chat, plenty of seating. We did not use the fireplace but it made the place feel quaint and cozy just being there. The bedrooms were clean, well laid out and bedding was comfortable.The place has updated appliances but has some rough edges which make this listing feel like a cabin instead of a high end home. This suited us just fine, we were looking for a cabin experience in Yosemite.I'm not sure this place would be great for toddlers. The deck rails are horizontal and would be a concern. Also there is lots of fun decor (much more than other VRBOs I have stayed in) which my 6 year old ignored but a 3 year old would have broken. The hearth is a trip hazard and fireplace is a burn hazard if you use it, just a heads up. As others mentioned, the WiFi will not support video calls, but it works great for internet searches and sending pictures from your beautiful Yosemite trip! You will definitely enjoy this cabin!

Excellent property only drawback was no air conditioning - we were sweating all night in 80 degree heat. There was no indication during booking that we would not be able to use the A/C. The thermostat had a label on it that said No A/C and you couldn't turn it on. The daytime temps were 100+ and nights were around 80, it was very uncomfotable to sleep in the heat. Given the $$$ paid, A/C should have been included.

Yosemite inside the park!

Great place to stay in the park away from the hubbub of the valley. Nice roomy cabin with plenty of space. Very nicely stocked with everything we needed. Now to my advice for future travelers...bring plenty of food for the entire time you are here. Groceries are not easily accessible without driving out of the park. Dining at the hotels is very restricted, primarily hotel guests only. Plenty of kitchen supplies to cook what you bring. Grill is awesome. Just bring your food with you.

Well decorated and clean house.

The location is close to the valley locations about 25 min and vloser access to glacier point trailhead as well as mariposa grove . The house is cosy, well furnished and clean with interesting decor. The kitchen is well equipped and very functional. Will recommend without any hesitation.

The cabin was comfortable. It is located approximately halfway between Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove. Has a nice deck.

wonderful views

We had easy access upon arrival, which was great cause we got in pretty late. Found everything fairly easily and quite clean. We were only 2 people so we had loads of room. Especially enjoyed the deck...my favorite early morn coffee spot. Wish we had had a.c. it was quite hot an when we slept with windows open we began to cough due to the fires in the area. Also road closures added 2 hours to our commutes so we had to cut our trip short by a day as we had to get to the airport early. We certainly hope to try this trip again... fingers crossed for no fires.

Christmas Cabin was our home away from home

Christmas Cabin is a cozy place, full of charming decorations and knickknacks that give you a sense of Christmas, the native Americans that lived in the area, and Yosemite park of yesteryear. The beds were very comfortable, the place was extremely tidy, and everything was in working order. We used quite a bit of the kitchenware during our stay and there were only a few dishes (maybe two or three) that needed rewashing before our first use. Basic amenities are provided. Bring your own facial tissue, shampoo, and conditioner. No WiFi, but if you are visiting Yosemite to get back to nature, you'll welcome the absence. Overall, a wonderful rental that really became our home from the moment we arrived!
