"Ceoil na Mara" Ledge Point

Only 1 hour drive from Perth and you will be at our well appointed Beach House located in a Cul-de-sac one street back from the unspoilt beaches of Ledge Point.

ALL BEDDING, LINEN AND TOWELS SUPPLIED

The two storey property offers 2 wc additional Bali shower, 2 Queensize bedrooms, one with semi en-suite, 1 double, 4th bedroom with 1 sets of bunks and 2 single beds.

Fully equipped modern Kitchen for 10 including Dishwasher and microwave.

The open plan living and dining area with wood fire is well furnished, relax on the leather lounges or enjoy a drink at the bar in the UPSTAIRS ADULT RETREAT or take in the OCEAN VIEWS from the adjoining balcony, relax and enjoy the sun set over the Indian Ocean

The home is on a large block with enclosed rear gardens providing large lawn area, shaded alfresco dining complete with gas barbecue and outdoor setting.

THINGS TO DO IN LEDGE POINT

Ceoil na Mara is only a few minutes walk to the beach where you can enjoy swimming in the beautiful Indian Ocean, Dolphin watching, fishing or just go for a relaxing walk along the miles of unspoilt beach.

A short stroll will take you to the local mini mart and bottle shop

Ledge Point has a trail bike/Quad/4x4 wheel drive area situated off the main road a few before you enter the township, Driving on the beach to the south of the town is also permitted as well as dune driving in Lancelin.

The Ledge Point Courtry Club which provides a 9 hole Golf Course, Bowling Greens and Tennis Courts is within walking distance, the court hire and geen fees are very reasonable.
The Club is open daily from 4pm providing Darts, Pool and an enjoyable atmosphere for a night out. Meals are good and provided on Friday and Saturday nights, you may have to book during holiday periods.

Day trips to the Pinnacles are popular. Moore River, Gin Gin (Vinyards), Seabird and Lancelin are close by. lancelin is only 13km north is the largest of the towns providing a variety of shops, restaurants and pubs. It is noted for the night fishing off the Jetty which is a must!

I apologise again for the plumbing problem, plumber thought it was fixed He failed to turn the heater on at mains which was discovered when we sent an electrician in, if only we had known this The water is now in order Thanks for your understanding

Nice house

It was good to have access to firewood for use in the fireplace. Big backyard with side access and large house that fit 8 adults plus kids. Older house but everything was kept clean. Nice quiet street very close to the beach.

Excellent.. But

The property was amazing way better than we expected from the photos. Was a lot bigger in person. But we were under the impression the house would be cleaned before we got there as they sent us some info and the cleaning list. But when we first walked through the house we were a bit upset walking through the front door got tangled in spiderwebs. Walking through bedrooms spiderwebs. Outside every seat and all around the table covered in spiderwebs. Forgot to ask everyone else but the main bedroom that myself and my partner stayed in pulled back the sheets and the sheets looked stained as were pillows. All in all was an amazing house and a great stay especially being that close to the beach. Would definitely stay again.

Overall is was a nice place to stay with my family. Clean and tidy when we arrived. Kitchen was fully equipped for our needs. I didn't realise there was only one bathroom but we managed.

Shortcomings

It was disappointing to find that maintenance of the building has been neglected. Ie many of the sliding doors & windows were difficult or impossible to open with some fly screens being non existent and no keys for locked windows. Because it was hot windows needed to be opened but some couldn’t because mosquitoes were bad & fly screens were missing.

Bg Enough for 13 People

The house easily accommodates 3 families, all 13 people, and with room to spare. However, there are only 2 showers, one of them we only discover on the second day, as it is hidden. We arrived during the evening and couldn't find the switch to the heater. So some of us had cold shower. Tips: the hidden shower is located just outside the room with the washing machine, to the right after the door. The switch is located in the fuse box fixed to the wall outside the house, it is the left side of the wall if you are facing the house.
