With stunning ocean views, your own private path leading directly to the water's edge and a short stroll to sandy beaches, this is the perfect beach retreat. Set in a quiet cul-de-sac between Warrain and Culburra beaches, and only 5 minutes from Lake Wollumboola, you can enjoy an active beach holiday or simply relax and unwind. The fully fenced backyard, with its breathtaking panoramic view spanning both the north and south coast lines, provides the perfect vantage point for dolphin and whale watching (dolphins all year round, whales in Sept/Oct) and magnificent sunrises/sunsets. The backyard verandah with new zip blinds and level lawn is perfect for outside meals, relaxing and playtime.

-Bedroom 1 has ocean views with queen bed.
-Bedroom 2 has ocean views with a double bed.
-Bedroom 3 has 1 double bed & 2 single beds ( can be set up as 4 singles) with its own en-suite. Perfect family or children’s room.
-Bedroom 4 has a queen bed

Excellent location. Beach house is clean and tidy. Ensuite bathroom needs updating. Overall a great stay. We have stayed here several times and enjoyed the beach house, it really suits our needs and great for fury friends, lovely flat lawn.

Wonderful place to stay and relax

we have had wonderful time in Carmelle. The house is very comfortable and well designed; the ocean view from the front yard is breathtaking ! We stayed with our dog there who enjoyed secured front yard and friendly dog beaches around.

Stunning Home away from Home

This property was absolutely beautiful inside & out - then there are the views!Outside we saw whales breaching, seabirds diving & the most stunning sunrises & sunsets.Inside was roomy, very comfortable, well equipped & felt like home. A lot of newer builds feel so sterile, like hotel rooms, but Carmelle is a family heirloom that you can feel has created so many precious memories.I cannot recommend this property enough - best holiday home I have ever stayed in!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carmelle Beach House, the attention to detail is fantastic and the views are amazing. The house was very clean and well proportioned everyone had plenty of room without getting in each others way. The fenced backyard is amazing and being pet friendly is a big plus. Even though weather wasn't great - the accommodation was!

Convenient, comfortable and worked well even with our young grandson (11mths). Brilliant different view of clouds each morning. Son-in-law enjoyed fishing in a number of places, Crookhaven boat ramp was his favourite, and provided 2 meals.

Great for humans and pets

The location and being able to bring our pets give Carmelle a big plus. Having our pets with us meant that it was a true family holiday. Jennifer is very prompt with responses to our queries and needs. Highly recommended, whether you have pets or not.

Perfect comfy ocean escape

Family group visiting extended family living in Culburra. The house is great - all mod cons and everyday comforts and nicely designed for family living. Importantly, the inside areas are good for group living & there are enough rooms and spaces for quiet times. The back yard and view score 20 out of 10. Just stunning. And who made the tables? We are all planning to return next year for our regular visit. This house is ‘the one’. The vibes are better than any other place we have stayed in nearby over the last 15 years or more.

Great beach house

Great holiday home, gorgeous views and good backyard for kids and pets. Well fenced and access to the beach/rocks below is good and very stable. Overall the house just needs a declutter, too much old furniture and the kitchen cupboards need to be cleaned out and restocked with new crockery and cooking utensils. Dryer not working. Some plumbing issues. Owner is now aware. We enjoyed the location and the beach house.

1 week in Autumn with teens

Our family of four plus dog stayed a week in April, with few plans bar reading and heading to the beach. We had a lovely time. The walkable nearby surf had catchable waves, well suited to body surfing, yet felt very safe, and the property was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed. The instructions were easy to follow. The view is seriously spectacular and stretches wide enough to offer sunrises and sunsets over the ocean. It can be a struggle to find ocean front places that are fenced when you have pets, and from that perspective this place is a rare find. Loved it.

A fabulous holiday house and location

We had an enjoyable stay despite the wet and windy weather. The place was clean, comfy and offered a great view of the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of pots and pans that were in good conditions. One of the bathrooms looks like it's newly renovated. It took 1 - 2 mins to walk down the steps to the rock platform at the back of the house and part of that was quite steep. Another lovely spot to see the ocean is the lookout located at the end of the road or just about 100m away from the place. It offers a different view of the ocean and it is worth visiting! Woolworths is about 5 mins drive from the house and there are a few cafes/ restaurants that are within a few mins drive away.

Excellent location!

This property is in an excellent location on a cliff top overlooking, and with the sounds of the sea. An access path to the rock platform was very convenient. Lovely area below for our dog to swim. We enjoyed our stay here, house was cosy, nice covered verandah overlooking the sea, and the proprty was totally fenced which was good for our dog. We did have issues with the tenants pets on one side, as their dogs kept coming to the fence and barking and provoking our dog. They didn't do anything about stopping their dogs which was rather annoying. We had to tie our dog up so she didn't respond. If the fence was covered and not see through it would make it better for the neighbouring animals so they wouldn't see each other. The other side of us had a friendly dog so that side wasn't an issue. I was a bit aprehensive after reading some of the reviews on the older style house. It is older style with the main bedroom a fair way away from the bathroom, however we found the house to be clean, comfortable and everything we needed to use it which was appreciated. We cooked a lot, and found it suited our needs. There were a couple of small issues, some of the kitchenware was not very clean, and we had to wash some items before using, we did point this out to the owner. Also we didn't find the fire pit which was apparently in the garage, but maybe we didn't look properly. My husband also pointed out there didn't appear to be smoke detectors fitted and the knobs on the gas stove need some attention. So probably in that instance carbon monoxide detectors might be a good thing. So in summation, this was a really nice property, although older style interior, it was comfortable and warm with a truly magnificent view.
