Lovely quiet location. Rustic home surrounded by nice gardens with visiting birds Rosellas & finches.Comfortable beds with nice linen. Took a long time to heat the house up. Would have been nice for the heater to be on before we arrived. Would stay again.
Beautiful country get away, loved the location and ability to holiday with pets.
Short drives to Trentham and Daylesford were wonderful day trips and the pub at Creswick for dinner as a family was great!

We so enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous rustic cottage.
A quiet location great for disconnecting and only a short drive to Creswick or Daylesford
Super comfy and relaxing for 2 adults and my dog.
Felt warm and welcoming.
Among gorgeous gardens, this quiet little house allows reconnection.
Comfortable beds, good water pressure and many spots to relax. Perfect weekender
Old country cottage with so much charm. Everything you need, including a roaring open fire. Close proximity to Daylesford and Creswick. Perfect country getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. It is a gorgeous French Provincial style cottage - very rustic which made it feel like quite an adventure! The kids loved it. We stayed in the middle of winter and it was important to keep the wood burner going to keep the house warm. The garden and surrounds are lovely, with a fully fenced and secure backyard - perfect for the dog.
My mum and I stayed for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The setting is lovely. We spent plenty of time in the whimsical cottage garden. The interior is equally as nice, in a French provincial style. We had lunch in Daylesford which is a short drive away, but Creswick is closer and there are some lovely bakeries and cafes. Would highly recommend and hopefully we will stay again!
The first thing that came to mind when we walked in and looked around the house and property, was that it was how we pictured a cottage in a fairytale. We loved it. Very private and only a 10 minute drive to Creswick for grocery supplies or a 20 minute drive to Daylesford. Would stay again for sure. It was a truly relaxing break, in a beautiful home and garden.
Avignon is in a lovely location and surprisingly very quiet with hardly any road traffic.
It was excellent for our dogs with lots of nooks and crannies to laze in and a secure fence all around the property plus a fenced off back area if needed.
The house would benefit from some TLC, in saying that, it had everything you needed in the kitchen and the beds were lovely.
It has a variety of seating areas around the beautiful private garden and depending on the time of day we made great use of them.
We enjoyed returning to the property to relax from our explorations of the impressive area.
This quaint home offers a rustic, relaxed atmosphere away from the hustle and bustle. The positives were the provincial decore, facilities for pets and beautiful garden. The negatives were the extremely creaky upstairs floors and stairway, how dimly lit the living areas were and although most surfaces were clean, the undersurfaces and corners generally were not.

Great location for a weekend away in Daylesford
The house is in a good location central for Daylesford, Hepburn Springs, Creswick and Ballarat, it has lots of character; the garden is very mature and really nice with lots of areas for sitting and enjoying the scenery. Bed linen and towels provided were of good quality and the kitchen is well stocked. Host was very responsive.
The house was not as clean as I would have liked and some of the furniture, inside and out, was well past its best and should be replaced.
The garden was delightful with many areas to explore and enjoy.
The house had everything we needed. The coffee machine uses Nespresso pods (handy to know so you can bring some to use).
The property was fully fenced and secure allowing our dog free range.
The shower is elevated and could use a rail to hold for safety. My mum is 89 and felt insecure. The bath is lovely and deep, very relaxing.
The outdoor fire pit was a hit. The country sky offering a star filled magical sky.
We loved the decor in the cottage and the yard was lovely. Our little dog enjoyed exploring it and we did too. Our teenage kids relished toasting marshmallows in the firepit. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We appreciated the suggestion to eat at the Farmer's Arms - we had a delicious lunch there! Our only suggestion to improve the experience would be to beef up the heating - maybe add another reverse-cycle AC unit and/or insulation. In mid-September it was a bit chilly downstairs in the evening and I imagined during winter it would be uncomfortably cold. That was just a minor quibble though. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Fantastic gateway enjoyed by the whole family. Kids enjoyed the cubby house and trampoline while the adults enjoyed the garden and fireplace. Many thanks
We all had a fantastic stay the cottage is full of wonderful treasures and beautifully presented and the garden is really something that takes time to explore and just so relaxing to sit in.
Thank you so much it was a couple of special days.
We fell in love with this gorgeous cottage. It was very well equipped with everything we needed.
We spent a lovely weekend in this gorgeous cottage. It was well equipped with everything we needed, it felt like home. A chilly weekend but there were plenty of heating options available. The cottage garden was so beautiful, and inviting, it would be nice to return in the warmer weather to take advantage of the outdoor areas. Whilst a bit of a distance from the larger towns it was a peaceful getaway, very enjoyable way to escape the city.
We really enjoyed our stay at character-full Avignon which has plenty of old world charm with a French flavour. The cottage is well positioned between Creswick and Daylesford and is surrounded by green fields. The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well equipped. Although a bit chilly, the wood burner, various heaters and electric blankets created a cosy atmosphere at night.
Perfect French provincial country recharge with our little dog.
Just so lovely. Sad to leave. A short drive to shops/cafes, but beautifully secluded for a quiet weekend away. Perfect property for pets and children. Very helpful host.
What a beautiful property we truly felt as though we were living in a beautiful farmhouse . Very well presented with everything you need. Close enough to explore the area but peaceful and remote enough to be so relaxing .
Beautiful property. Ideal if you are looking for total relaxation in a quiet town. Accommodations are comfortable. Everything we needed was supplied. We love the gardens which have inspired us to make over our garden, and the French provincial style is beautiful. We could easily have stayed longer.
