Lovely beach house, in beautiful condition and absolutely no complaints to be had. Perfect for a couple, family, or small group of friends. We stayed for only one night, but would happily have stayed longer. The place was homey, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is wonderful - within a few minutes' walk to gorgeous Hyams beach. The owner was very kind and helful. I would definitely recommend this beach escape!

Great Holiday

Perfect location. Well stocked. Great deck with awning for when it was super hot. Some of the decor needs updating. Searched for an iron and ironing board but couldn't find one. We had a lovely stay.

Lovely & peaceful

We stayed at Hyams beach house for 3 nights over Easter for much needed R&R. Hopefully, we will return! The location was perfect: close to beaches & gorgeous walks through national parks. We particularly liked the kitchen, the deck with visiting bird life & the fantastic vinyl collection. Joy was a pleasure to organise our stay with. thank you :-)

Retro Comfort and Style

A really nice little house, with simple amenities but pretty much everything we needed. Particularly loved the large verandah, the lawn that our son and friends played on and the closeness to the beach and cafe. Great record collection too! The owner was very easy to deal with, we felt comfortable with it right from the start. We will stay again if we are down that way.

A fabulous holiday house!

We stayed for just under a week before Easter and we loved the house, its exactly what the description says. We have 2 young boys who loved the bunk beds, the kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens I have seen in a holiday house - nothing over the top, just everything we needed and perfectly located for the beach (and coffee shop). The house was spotlessly clean and to top it off we had a kangaroo hanging out in the garden. We really look forward to coming back again soon.

Hanging at Hyams

We had fun at this retro inspired beach house. Everything's been thought of, from cooking to entertainment in poor weather. We enjoyed going through the vinyl record collection, watching the old DVDs and cooking on the weber BBQ. The house is small but comfy - and had the weather been better we definitely would've made more use of the deck.

Magical location

My trip there began a bit rocky due to some lost car keys, but Joy was incredibly understanding and supportive. I'm so glad we went in the end. The beaches there are so beautiful, and the house was perfect for my partner and my doggie! I'd say the only reason I didn't give it a 10 is that the bed was a little soft for our liking, and I could only get the record player to play at a pretty low volume. I loved all the old vinyls, though!

We had two nights in the Hyams beach house. Loved the simplicity and the retro decoration ..it bought great beach memories back from simpler times! It was a joy to just relax on the verandah or lounge, put on a record, and breathe in the salt air.The local birdlife put on a good show as well (Kookaburras, Magpies, Crimson Rosellas all visited the verandah). The kitchen was well equipped. Would highly recommend that you obtain some local seafood (e.g. blackfish) whilst staying over.My only regret was that we spent two nights instead of a week in this home. I would love to return.

My 13 year old daughter and I had a perfect weekend at A Secret Treasure. Clean, cosy and comfortable and very well equipped, including a pretty amazing vinyl collection. I had a great time introducing my daughter to all my old favourites. The house is only a couple of minutes walk to the beach and the local store/cafe. We saw lots of dolphins in the bay which is always a treat. Kangaroos came to feed in the garden during the day, possums came onto the deck at night. It was a nature fest. Thank you Joy. It was a pleasure dealing with you and we hope to return one day soon.

Beach weekend

An original fibro beach house with wonderful views of Jervis Bay from the back deck. As there is one basic bathroom, the house is best suited to four people at most. The house is pet friendly but not fully fenced, which made it difficult to leave our dog during the day. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Hyams Beach.
