About this property

Barnegat Light Beauty - newly constructed in 2025!

This bay-side beauty is conveniently located in the heart of Barnegat Light, a block away from the beach. It sits on a large lot with a private backyard that is perfect for enjoying a private beach getaway or entertaining friends and family. We've owned this property for 15 years and rented our former house. Reviews before 2025 are about the prior house but same owner. This NEW house was built in 2025!

The house is situated a few blocks from Viking Village where you will find ice cream, coffee, a fresh fish store and plenty of island shopping. Walk in the other direction and you will find a playground, tennis courts, the Light House and plenty of restaurants to enjoy brunch or dinner if you don't want to cook at home. After a day at the beach you can wash off in the outdoor showers. Finally, you can avoid Saturday traffic with Friday to Friday rentals.

This is a 5 bedroom, 5 bath house! This house has four bedrooms on the first floor, two with attached bathrooms. There is also a full bathroom on this floor for the other two bedrooms to share. This floor includes a living area with a TV, washer/dryer, and a dry bar. Three of the bedrooms have sliders that open up to decks (one on the front side of the house and two on the back side).

The second floor has a great room with expansive views of the bay. This area includes a large kitchen, living room, and dining room with plenty of natural light. There is a wine fridge, state of the art appliances, and a gas grill. The large master bedroom with attached bathroom are also on this floor.

For those of you looking to work while you are staying at the house, two of the rooms are equipped with desks.

There are three large decks. The large deck expanding from the main floor has beautiful views of the bay, a large Weber grill, and a covered outdoor dining space to enjoy your meals outdoors!

There is a deck below it and another large deck on the backside of the house overlooking a large backyard with plenty of room for children to play.

We are thrilled to rebuild our house and excited to share it with you!

Additional information about rental rates:

Weekly rentals are Friday to Friday from July 11-September 12.
Primary Renter must be 25 years of age or older.
Linens are not provided.
Temporary blinds are set up in some of the bedrooms until permanent blinds are installed.

This is a beautiful house with a great layout and many amenities. Everything spic and span, in working order, wonderful location. We loved every minute of our stay and our hostess was super responsive. Would love to come again.

We spent the end of September at this house and it was a perfect little vacation. The house was great and easily accommodated We love the beach at the far end of the island.Felt right at home . Home is very well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked. Perfect area for biking, walking, enjoying the breathtaking beach.

Great Family Getaway!

Nice place, multiple decks, easy walk to viking village and Kubels, lighthouse and Jens Mini-golf! We enjoyed our stay, lounged, grilled, beached, walked and ate at Kubels twice ! Highlight of the trip was the memorial brick in the new park - kids bought one for me - my folks rented in BL for several decades! Second time at this place - loved it!

Great Barnegat Light location

Highly Recommend!

My husband and I recently stayed here with our 4 kids (5-11) and 2 small dogs, and I can’t say enough great things about this property! The entire place was immaculate - every space of the house including the decks, not even a cobweb, even the outdoor shower was spotless (no exaggeration - cleanest outdoor shower of any rental I’ve ever stayed at!) House seriously had everything you could possibly need…not the norm at most rentals! And everything worked (also, not the norm!) Meghan was wonderful to work with - so helpful before, during and even after our stay (a week later when I realized I forgot an entire cupboard of our stuff, Meghan quickly track our things down and helped us get them back!) I’ve been coming to LBI for 30+ years (as a child, and now with my own family), and this property and its location on the island quickly became a new favorite! The photos don’t do it justice! So much space! Open kitchen with really great use of compact space which allows for a more spacious dining area and living space. Huge beautiful bathrooms! Super comfy mattresses on every bed. Fantastic decks! Loved the top deck at night sitting under the stars! And the deck below it is even larger! (Kids LOVED the spiral staircase between decks!) Used the grill - clean and worked great! Kids and dogs enjoyed the big backyard to run around in! Nice clear space, all stone but smooth enough my kids ran around it barefoot the whole time. Very private setting! Quiet area. Really nice street. Met several very friendly neighbors walking to and from the beach - lots of residents. Beaches were definitely quiet on weekdays and only slightly more people on weekends (there during beginning of peak summer). Gorgeous walk out to the beach! The pines and dunes are really unique and beautiful in this area, very different from the rest of the island (we’ve stayed in almost every part). My kids really enjoyed our beach as well as the surrounding beaches on either side. Our beach was a little more narrow at high tide (but wide enough…we still left our stuff there all day), but the next beach to the south is so close and much wider, and the beaches just to the north are also wider, and then open up for fishing, and then run into the rock jetties (that are mostly gone from the rest of the island now aside from at the 2 ends). Great shopping all around, all walking distance too! Such a fantastic place! Thank you Meghan for your hospitality! Will definitely return!

Wonderful family beach vacation

We had such a memorable stay at this lovely house in Barnegat Light. As a family with two kids under the age of four this property was perfect for all of us. It was clean, had ample space for all of us and was an easy walk to the beach, the bay beach playground, the regular playground and all the local fresh seafood places and restaurants. We enjoyed having family dinners on the outdoor deck and watching sunsets from the upper deck. All around a wonderful experience! Thank you to Meghan for being a great host! We will be back!

Perfect island home

Lovely home in Barnegat Light! It’s not always easy to find a nice, single-family house on LBI. This home is a gem! Well located with both bay and ocean access.

Nice Bayside Getaway

Very nice property - was just the right size for our party of 5, even though we only needed 1 bed in the multi-bed room. Never got to use the grill since we went out for most dinners. As always Barnegat Light never disappoints. The decks were wonderful for soaking up the sun. I highly recommend this place.

Loved the house

We just completed our stay during off season and we enjoyed the piece and quiet. We didn’t realize there wasn’t much to do or places open after Labor Day but we still enjoyed our stay! The house was lovely and plenty of room for my 18 month old to run around. We loved how the lighthouse was close by and my son enjoyed watching the boats on the water. Meghan the home owner was very nice and quickly responded to any inquiry we had. Would rent this house again (would do in season next time!)

Great Beach House

Our family just completed our stay and we highly recommend this beach house. The house was spotless when we arrived, the rooms are actually bigger than indicated in the photos and the two decks are really nice. The house is well equipped with a wonderful grill. As soon as we arrived it felt like home. Lovely home, perfect set up for our 2 families. Beautiful neighborhood. To biker,run and walk the dog. Beautiful beach. Viking village and restaurants a short walk away. House is so cozy, with 2 great decks you never want to leave. Meghan, the home owner, was wonderful.

I'll keep it short and sweet. This place is excellent. It was perfectly outfitted to ensure an easygoing comfortable vacation. Updated kitchen & baths, great floors, huge decks, plenty of parking, big bedrooms, beach gear at the ready, close to a clean beach. Beautiful, perfect place for a vacation!

We HIGHLY recommend this beautiful home and can't say enough about our perfect vacation. It is a very close walk to the beach and bay, has a well-stocked kitchen, and boasts great balconies near the living areas - makes it a fun place to have meals. My two-year old son loved the house and beach - this home is a perfect place to bring families. The owner was a pleasure to communicate with, always responsive and helpful. We highly recommend this home and can't wait to come visit again.

Amazing getaway

Really fantastic getaway

We have stayed at this house three times with both of our young children. It's a fantastic setup and incredibly convenient. Thenoutfoor shower is so convenient and the two decks are a fun treat for watching stars at night. The bedrooms are really comfortable, everything is spotlessly clean and the location really can't be beat. It's on the quieter side of LBI with really easy access to uncrowded gorgeous beaches. The hosts are lovely and very easy to work with on everything. Quite close to attractions like Barnegat Light and Viking Village We usually purchase our groceries before we cross the bridge to LBI, but there is also a market nearby for things you might need to grab. And fresh caught fish and a delicious coffee place and vegetable stand in Viking Village. Would happily return!

The home was nicer than the pictures! We were pleased with the ease of finding the home and the location. It was perfect for a family gathering! Not a far walk to the beach. Restaurants, deli's, local coffee shop within walking distance. Meghan was very accommodating! Only reason I not giving 5 stars...the coffee pot was not working and we replaced it for future guests.

My family loved staying at this quaint and comfortable beach house! The outdoor shower, upper patio, equipped kitchen and short walk to the beach make this an ideal summer rental. The owner was a pleasure to deal with!
