Cute Beachfront Guest Unit on Lake

This cute guest unit is located right on Silver Lake which connects to Kalamazoo Lake and goes out to Lake Michigan. Enjoy the view from your hot tub on the deck or the dock. It includes 2 Kayaks to enjoy the natural beauty of the lake and rivers.

It is 2 bedrooms with a futon and electric fireplace in the living room. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub with shower. It is located on the Lake at the end of a neighborhood road. Faces woods and the Lake. It also has a hot tub and outdoor fire pit for enjoying the evenings. The lake is great for watersports as well as fishing. The house is about 1.5 miles from downtown Saugatuck. It includes 2 kayaks. Paddle down to the dingy dock where you can tie up and walk around town or call the Interurban and be picked up and dropped off for $1 if you don't feel like driving or walking.

Winter Activities: Snowmobiling, ice fishing and ice skating on the Lake are all fun in the Winter months.

The unit has a large private deck with private hot tub, private area on the water, dock and fire pit. It also includes 2 kayaks.

The unit is set up with coded locks to make checking in and out easy and at your leisure. We are easily accessible if you need help and are happy to answer questions.

Located on the Lake at the end of a neighborhood road. Views face the woods and the Lake.

The Interurban can be called and arranged to be picked you up and dropped you off for $1 if you don't feel like driving or walking.


A great spot for relaxing and enjoying nature or for going into the cute town of Saugatuck or Douglas. The area offers world-class beaches, boating, antiquing, golf, live theater, nightclubs, great restaurants, and a huge variety of art galleries and artists.
We allow pets with advance notice. There is a $85 pet cleaning fee. The unit is non smoking but smoking is allowed in the outdoor areas.

Perfect family spot close to Saugatuck

We absolutely loved our stay here. My girls spent the day jumping off the dock into the beautiful lake, fishing with my husband, and enjoying the hot tub at night. Easy access to get our paddle boards in the water and slow traffic on the lake made it safe and calm.It was so easy to drive to all attractions around us. Literally 6 minutes to get everywhere and less than 15 to the beach!This place is perfect for a family getaway. We could have stayed on the property all day and never left and had plenty to do and explore! Saugatuck and the surrounding areas were so fun and family friendly as well.

Perfect Girls Weekend

Lovely little place on the lake

We stayed in the Frog and had a great time. The place is clean, has great views and even though it's quaint, it felt like there was enough room and privacy for all. The kitchen and linens are well stocked which made it easy to feel at home as well. Taking the interurban public transportation was helpful too. Great view, plus kayaks and a hot tub!

Property was as described. Beautiful view. The end of the lake is a nature preserve, so we were able to kayak through a lovely area with many birds. The hot tub was already heated for our arrival. Owner responded immediately to solve a problem we had with the air conditioning. It was our first trip without kids in 23 years, and we had a great time. The second bedroom and futon in living room would have nicely accommodated several kids, if you want to bring them along. The path from the parking spot to the door was no problem for us (we are an out-of-shape, middle-aged couple with no disabilities).

This property was okay, but it fell a bit short of our expectations. The location was good, and access to both Saugatuck and Douglas, as well as the state park and beaches were nice. We expected to be able to easily use kayaks and we brought stand up boards, but access to the water from the property was not easy. You would have to jump in the water and climb in/on, so that was not ideal. Most everything we needed was available in the unit, but everything was a bit old and tired, including the furniture in the sitting area. It was not comfortable and should be replaced. The area inside was dark and the only light in the room was an overhead light in the kitchen. They layout really did not provide access to view the water from the sitting area, which was kind of disappointing. The TV could not be used because internet was down and streaming was the only option. The bed pillows were not good, but the beds seemed okay. The hot tub was working, but was a bit tired also. Simple updates and better attention to detail, like cleaning the windows, would make this unit much more comfortable.

Pleasant Lakeside Getaway

I appreciate the owners thorough instructions and communications. I loved that additional activities information both local and nearby areas were provided. Although we did not use the grill or oven, kitchen items that would be needed to prepare a meal was provided. The hot tub was clean and refreshing but the cover was extra heavy and hard to manage on my own. I enjoyed the view and easy access to the beach area. This owner provides kayaks, paddles and some life jackets. We did not use these either due to a short stay and others plans previously made but this owner provides lots of extras to make your stay on the lake pleasurable. The neighborhood is excellent and quiet. I loved being able to bring my dog to this property and would like to thank the owner for trusting responsible pet owners. The beds were comfortable with plenty of closet space and dressers. I would recommend this property although it would be difficulty for a physically disabled person to access.

Overall all, peaceful location with nice lake views and not far from downtown Douglas/Saugatuck. We enjoyed the hot tub, tho had to request a skimmer as it was quite buggy. After we cleaned it up, it was wonderful. We appreciate the property is dog friendly, but going potty at night is a bit dark and quite a few stairs to navigate. Bring a headlamp. Great, well-stocked kitchen. No coffee provided, but a regular pot and French press was available. For sleeping and relaxing, we definitely saw a need for simple updates. The mattresses were not very comfortable and the pillows were very thin. Thankfully, there were extras in the closets. In the living area, there is a very flimsy futon in desperate need of a new, thicker mattress, so watching TV at night was not cozy and relaxing as hoped. The mattress was so thin that I hit my thigh on a piece of the frame and developed a bruise. The lake area was quiet and pretty, but no easily accessible walk-in points as others noted. We had hoped for an area where the dogs could splash in the shoreline, and that wasn’t possible. Host was very responsive. We’d recommend adding a keychain to the key in the lockbox, as it almost fell through the deck upon our arrival.

Cute House, Great Stay

I rented the big house, along with the smaller Frog unit, for a girl's weekend in Saugatuck. Everything was perfect. To enter either unit you go through one main door, which made it ideal for our large group since no one had to walk outside to get up to the smaller Frog rental. The house was very clean and everyone loved staying up in this unit because it was so peaceful. The private deck overlooking the water was absolutely lovely. Dana (sorry for putting Laura in the other review!) was incredibly responsive throughout the whole rental process, quickly responding and answering the several questions I sent her way. Additionally, she answered the phone right away when someone in our group popped a breaker with her hair dryer and helped us find the breaker box. I was a little worried about the house being out of the downtown area, but that honestly ended up being a huge bonus. The lake in front is perfect for kayaking, the neighborhood is peaceful, the house has ample parking, and we were able to take the Interurban bus into town for $1/person! That was a total win. All in all, our stay was amazing and we are already talking about booking again next year. Thank you, Dana, for a delightful stay!

Well designed apartment with great use of space. Everything necessary was provided. Lovely dead end street for walking the dogs. Close to town. Caution if you have mobility issues as there are many steps especially to reach the water.

I was continually startled by the acorns hitting the roof from the Oak tree right next to the apartment, even during the night they would wake me. Not that the tree should be removed..no.. It would have been nice to know that this is an issue during the fall. Otherwise a nice stay.

Little gem with great view

My husband and I had a relaxing getaway in this cozy apartment. Quiet, charming, and clean. They made the most of this small space. Only issue, a small one, was that the couch/futon was uncomfortable. Beds comfortable, nice bathroom, well equipped. Lots of closet space.

Private and peaceful

This little treasure puts you in nature yet so close to Saugatuck. The apartment provides all the amenities you could ask for. Two in our party kayaked and loved the peace they found on the lake. The hot tub was the perfect side but the chlorine was a little intense. Overall it’s a private setting nestled in nature in a lovely neighborhood. We would definitely return.

We had a great week.

We really enjoyed our time in Saugatuk and staying on the river was great. Here are the pluses to this property- Nice to be on the water House was clean Bedrooms were nice and beds were comfortable Hot tub was great Outside dining area Kayaks available Very private Minuses of the property- Living area was really small for 4 people Dishwasher and toaster didn’t work very well Dock and beach chairs were really dirty Less than 12 hours after we booked we realized that one of our children had a commitment that they couldn’t get out of and I messaged the owners 3 times to see if we could get out of our rental commitment and never received a response. When they say no cancellations, they mean it so make sure nothing comes up. Other than that we had a great time and we’re even allowed to bring our dogs which was great. It’s not luxurious but if you know what you are getting in to, you will have a great time.

Cute Little Getaway

The location was so beautiful. I especially enjoyed coffee on the deck and the hot tub. The bonfire by the water was fantastic. Very peaceful and surrounded by nature. Cute inside, very quaint and clean. I would definitely stay here again!

Cute place

This place was great for our girls trip. it was a little tight with 6 people, but we made it work and really enjoyed the location! this home is less than 7 minutes from town and we had some great morning views of the water. we would stay here again!
