Elderslie House was the perfect venue for a weekend away to celebrate my parents' 60th wedding anniversary. The home was beautifully appointed, with multiple sitting areas inside and out for a large family gathering. All rooms in the main house were a great size with ensuites, and the cottage provided a great space for extra family members to stay. Our teenage kids spent most of the time in the separate games room playing pool and table tennis. Our host was amazing - always responsive, helpful and very accommodating with any requests. We couldn't have asked for a better venue or better service - everything was perfect. We'll be back!

Perfect Stay

Very impressed with this property. Check-in was super easy, and the communication with the property managers was much appreciated. The property itself is perfect for a large group. Each bedroom with its own bathroom worked great for our group of 14. A great property, would stay again!

We had a lovely time Great for family and grand children I think the outside could have been cleaner bird poo on veranda and outdoor furniture Great location Pool room and second accommodations not up to scratch We did get some money back though

Family wedding

The property was wonderful. The house and garden spacious It was great that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house was very easy to warm up with the multiple ACs and combustion fire. The separate studio did have a lot of little bugs and ants, so may need a visit from pest control.

Space and Comfort

Elderslie House provided our extended family with plenty of room to relax both inside and out. The house is well stocked with kitchen basics, board games,books and out door furniture on all areas of the upstairs and downstairs verandahs. The yard and pool were great for the kids and we didn't even make it to the pool room which we will have to enjoy next time. The gardens create a lovely haven surrounding the house to explore. Thank you for the wine, olive oil and balsamic vinegar! Very nice to be spoilt with gifts on our arrival. Certainly set the mood straight away.

Weather issues

The property was fine, as described and well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds etc. However the property was badly affected by the rain. We could not use the studio at all, which meant we had to sleep in lounge rooms and share beds (not ideal since it was a work trip), the games room was also flooded and could only be used for a short time when the water reseeded. We had to wade through ankle deep water to even get in and out of the property. If it wasn't heavy rain everything would have been ok. Property manager helpful and responsive, thank you

Amazing weekend at the beautiful Elderslie House

I can highly recommend Elderslie House for your next Hunter Valley holiday. The house is absolutely beautiful, accompanied by gorgeous gardens, pool and excellent facilities. Elderslie House is close enough to the vineyards of the Hunter Valley and far enough away to get an authentic country getaway. The layout of the house is so unique in that all my guests had their own bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen, dining and lounge areas are so big that there is room for everyone to enjoy all the cute and cosy lounges, deck chairs and veranda spaces. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you’d need for a BBQ, quiet dinner or a family banquet. All the rooms were clean and welcoming and the property had so many areas to explore and enjoy. There is the pool area, games room, garden, vast verandas and communal areas to share with your family and friends. I would highly recommend Elderslie House and will definitely be booking again for my next holiday in The Hunter Valley. From start to finish, the owners were friendly and welcoming and catered to all our needs and requirements. If you're looking for a family or group holiday, look no further than Elderslie House. You won't be disappointment. You'll be amazed!

The property was excellent. Much better than the pictures. Well maintained and well presented. The games room is well equipped for the adults and children alike. Overall, our family enjoyed the stay. It's a great property for the family gatherings with plenty of space and something for all age groups. Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful Country home

Lovely place for our group

The games room and pool were great for the children, and en-suite bedrooms were a plus for our large group. Bathroom fixtures were a bit worn, when the shower head wasn’t working well property managers tried their best to help. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
