Thank you so much Helen. We loved having you stay with us at AAA Granary Accommodation - The Last resort. Hope to see you again on your next Tassie adventures.
Location and facilities were good but there needs to be some more maintenance. The rice cooker on the top looks burnt out, and the other one didn’t cook very well. Front door was loose. Two dining chairs had loose legs. Tap in kitchen sink leaks when turned on. BBQ is clean but old. Only half the jets work. The sliding screen between the kitchen and dining room needs some CRC or silicon spray to make it easier to open and close.
Only 30 minutes from Devonport and central to a large variety of places to see and things to do we were incredibly happy with our stay at AAA Granary. It is a little dated and a few of the facilities were unusable, but this is quite easy to ignore staying in a country location with all the amazing views and abundant wildlife that share this location. Our family of 4 adults stayed in Rose Cottage which was comfortable and had all of the facilities we needed to cook our meals and relax on the rear deck with unbeatable views of Mt Roland after a long day of sightseeing. The nearby townships offer great shops, fantastic food, and interesting things to see. The area has a rich history and is an excellent jumping off point to visit places such as, Tazmazia & The Village of Lower Crackpot, Cradle Mountain, and Lake Barrington. The internet is a bit patchy which is common across Tasmania, the state infrastructure is currently undergoing upgrades so this will improve, I advise ensuring that you have a phone service provider that has reasonable coverage and download offline google maps. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, and provided us with local knowledge and advice on things to see. We will definitely be coming back here again!
Rose Cottage was perfect for a group of 8 (although only 7 forks ). It was warm, comfortable and had everything we needed. Great base for trips to Cradle and Mt. Roland. Added bonus was the animals in the paddock next to the decking. The kitchen cupboards could do with a clear out

Wasn't happy with the accommodation
We went to stay in the Rose 4bd. When we arrived the smell was awful. The whole house was cold and the decore was really old and I feel for this reason it made the place look unclean. We were almost ready to leave when my husband went to tell the staff we couldn't stay in there comfortably with the smell and the way it Was. The lady was lovely and moved us to a different cabin. This was better. We instantly felt better about the stay. I feel that it to needs to be upgraded and then I think it will feel cleaner. Again the staff were lovely and they agreed the smell was an issue and acknowledged that. But we moved to a smaller cabin which was cheaper and no offer of some money back. I will be honest and won't stay again.
